Miller knows Friesen only wants in to write a doom and gloom piece, I applaud him for telling Friesen to piss off. The media in Winnipeg needs to be taken in hand and controlled better. The sooner hacks like Friesen get cut off from the source the sooner they lose what credibility they had with the fans.

They drafted a lot of tackles the last few years, what if they have a NI who can play RT but none that can play centre well? Would still be using 2 imports on the o-line. Hell wouldn't even be the first time that the Bombers used an import at centre, unless I'm forgetting but wasn't Benedict Ibisi a centre?

There are so many goalies out there on the market, just sign someone as a backup who can push your starter and you're set. Competition has a way of making things better and let's be honest regardless of what the numbers say Montoya isn't competition for anyone.

I think it's already pretty scandalous, especially when the Chris Benoit thing hit. Basically I think it comes down to this: Drugs are a hell of a drug. Treat your body like that as often as these guys do I think it's pretty much a requirement to be drugged out of your mind all the time.

This happens every year you know that right? They have about 70 or 75 players at the start of training camp but rosters are only forty some players. You basically sign a 2nd team in the offseason then cut most of them before training camp is done. I know it's "supposed" to happen every year but I haven't seen this many training camp signings in a loooooong time. I can recall maybe half as many players signed last year and there is still almost two months till camp. It's just nice to see a change. They've gone in with full training camp rosters every year, just because you are choosing not to remember it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Charles Roberts to be inducted into HOF this year

It was awfully nice knowing that when you absolutely needed to make a play there were guys you could count on to make it. -
does it look something like this?

Guys with term on their contract are more often moved at the draft than trade deadline day, the reason being there is some certainty about what draft picks are involved. There's a big difference between pick #30 and pick #20.

I hate Kessler, but he is the best player in that trade no questions asked. If Kane is as good as you say he is, why are you so keen to trade him? You call him a franchise player you can build around for the next 15 years... so why the rush to ship him out?
-
Not even ******* close. Kessler is a piece of **** but he's worth more than any individual piece coming from Winnipeg, Kassian they are kind of tied to considering what they gave up to get the guy. Gillis will need to be fired before he gets traded. Postma/Redmond are throw ins nothing more and Vancouver is high on Tanev. I hate the Canucks as much as the next guy but your valuation is way way off.

Right. Because humans have perfected engineering to the point that only earthquakes can ever harm any man made structure. Nothing else could ever go wrong. ok so what is going to cause the disaster? The only one recently was caused by a major earthquake... **** like Chernobyl was a result of shitty old equipment and human negligence. Modern reactors have fail safes built in to prevent run away reactions. Ever hear about any problems with the ones in Ontario? How about the ones in France? It's a very safe energy source as long as people don't go full ***** with it.

Bombers have a guy from FSU - Daniel Glauser - attending mini camp next week who lost a year due to playing two games in a Swiss league prior to attending JuCo. Missed out on a National Championship this past year. They won't even take hockey players who played major jr. because they call that a professional league, just stupidity.
-
Then why are you trading him? All the reasons to trade the guy are reasons his value will be lowered. Like I said, best you'd do is one problem player for another.
-
Simple solution, don't build nuclear plants in seismic hotspots. Plenty of places to build them that are seismically stable in North American though and then you won't see any problems at all other than the cost to build them.
-
there are always teams willing to take a chance, but not for a big risk. You could trade one problem for another or you could trade him for cheap, you won't see some of the ludicrous returns people expect.
-
the NCAA has some absolutely ******** rules when it comes to athletics and what can make players ineligible.
-
Haha how desperate is Wally?
-
not when there's the perception that he's a problem for Winnipeg. Right now he's got more value to Winnipeg than he does to anyone else because other teams see a player being healthy scratch and it throws up a red flag. The only thing you're going to get for the guy now is a player with some red flags of their own. Better to just let Kane work through whatever went on this year and see if he can't get back to what he was before.

The thing no one ever talks about with solar power is how much pollution you cause making solar panels too. Just ridiculous how villified certain sources are. Hell look at the craze for hybrid cars being "green" I actually read a piece that explained that the lifespan of a hybrid car was 1/3 of a hummer and because of that and the pollution caused producing the batteries for hybrids that a hummer had a smaller environmental footprint considering it would last longer and less polluting to make. People really need to start looking big picture.

22 years old or whatever Kane is, way way too soon to be talking about the kid like he's a bust. Lots of players are just getting started in the NHL at 22 let alone having 1 30 goal season and one one pace for 30 goals season under their belts.
-
Back in his prime, I'd assume. Not now. Is he even still playing? Where did he go after Edmonton? He had a cup of coffee with Chicago I think. And Khabibulin had some absolutely brilliant moments for Edmonton too, trouble was he was so old and couldn't do it very often. Got burned out real quick.
-
you guys are ridiculous. a young player who has shown he can put up 30 goals and he has a down year this year and you write him off, just ********. Same as the ******* who call Yakupov a bust because he's had a poor year this year.
-
well you CAN just bury nuclear waste, quite safely. And modern reactors have so many fail safes built in that you won't see a meltdown. Hell the only nuclear disaster recently was caused by a major earthquake and in Canada there are plenty of places where you won't see big seismic activity so nonissue there. Did you know that coal fired power plants produce more radioactive material than nuclear plants? And they just pump that all into the air. The nuclear boogeyman doesn't exist and the sooner people stop thinking it does the better off the world will be.

you are purposely ignoring his pace in a lock out shortened season to make a stupid point. Hell he's had a goals per game pace of over 20 4 times including this year. It's pedantic to focus on just the number 20 without taking into account things like the lock out season meaning no one puts up the usual 82 game numbers.
