This is the least interest I have had in a Grey Cup since I don't even know when. Burris is my absolute least favourite player in the entire league and everything about rider fans just absolutely disgusts me. It is the very worst possible Grey Cup game and I just have a hard time caring. I haven't watched any of the coverage leading up to it. I'll throw the game on sure but that won't make me care.

on the other hand Cortez woulda hired Creehan right? Red flag. Creehan was coming off of a pretty good stint in Winnipeg where he was thought pretty highly of. sounds like he'd have the option of having Tim Burke as DC this year. It's Cortez for me, he would still be working in Hamilton had Obie not stepped aside and Kent Austin come in. He's got a pretty good track record and experience as an HC. Cortez working with the offence (maybe with Khari as OC) Burke as DC Dickenson as STC You could do worse. And who would be the HC then? We've had oh so much success with HCs trying to be coordinators lately right? The concerning thing with Cortez is how he went out and hired a poor choice at DC in his try as a HC. We've seen enough of that here when coaches bring in poor assistant coaches. Gotta hire someone who knows how to surround themselves with good people. Yeah he'd likely improve the offense a whole pile, but would the team as a whole get better? I dunno. The idea here is to hire a coach who can stay here for 6 or 7 years. No but Cortez seemed to do a pretty good job of it in hamilton. It's been successful elsewhere. Don't let the bombers incompetence cloud your opinion of Cortez. you call finishing last in the league successful? Cause that's what I'm talking about, not the offense, his ability to head coach. Guy is a hell of a coordinator but as a head coach he led a team that was worse than the Bombers.

I don't mind Walters getting a shot, I just think that right now given what this team has gone through since 2009 a more experienced person would have looked better. Now granted there maybe aren't a lot of those guys available, the optics of this looks kinda iffy.

The hilarious part is that it was rider fans who screamed the loudest about how unfair it was when the Esks would spend their way to championships, now that the shoe is on the other foot it seems that there's nothing wrong with it.

The amount of money they'll be raking in playing in their own grey cup the fines won't matter, the riders very clearly had a whatever it costs to go 3 for 3 in home teams in the cup mandate so I don't think the SMS mess was a mess at all.

I heard he was wearing out his welcome in SK. Granted, a GC ring will chill his critics, but I would sure like him here as an OC/Assistant HC. Of course, we still need a fricken QB. That'll be Darian Durant, coach killer at work most likely.

Glenns receivers fumbled enough balls in scoring range that you can't put that all on him. They get points when he puts them in range rather than fumbles and the score is still close enough before Tate got the controls. Glenn's ints didn't help either, although one was a tip. In either case, Glenn seems to be ineffective in big games, I'm actually still really surprised he got the start over Tate. ahh that's not a real good thing to say. Glenn is what he is. He is not the guy to elevate his teams play, he's the guy who goes along with how the team is going. If the team is playing well he plays well if the team isn't playing well he's not the guy to turn it around. Nothing wrong with that but because he's the qb he gets **** on for not being the super star player who can flip things all by himself.

The problem with O'shea is that he's such an Argo/Ti-Cat and in my bitterness I say leave all that trash in Southern Ontario.
