  1. the overall depth is better not just the NI depth.
  2. if we get an 8 win season with the offense progressing with a new qb though why do we need to blow **** up?
  3. hey everyone else gets to count wins against the crappy teams why shouldn't the bombers? I'm just pointing out that people are seemingly giving up on this team and expecting a 3 win season or something.... there's more wins to be had than just that if you ask me. The level of negativity is just through the roof and it's kind of silly because it's still early enough that a turn around can happen. I mean what if the defense gets back to playing solidly and Goltz manages to keep moving the offense a bit and scoring some points?
  4. to me that Austin smile was more an admission that he knew he got away with one. That decision to throw the ball on 2nd down should really have cost him. Keep it on the ground and grind the clock down a bit more the esks don't even get the chance to try that last field goal.
  5. is boatman the best though? or was it some other reason that he's still starting? Same with Morley. See I am leaning towards the coaches not using the players properly on offense more than anything right now rather than choosing to believe that we can't recruit players properly. There's more evidence to support my side of the argument than the other one honestly. That's not downplaying anything here either. Poor coaches is pretty much the biggest mistake going because that trickles down into every other aspect of the onfield product.
  6. why not? they've got like 3 games against Hamilton still and 2 against Edmonton. That's 5 very winnable games right there.
  7. yes, honestly I'd even give swiston a shot at RT, can't be worse.
  8. trying nothing, I'm succeeding.
  9. No because they make changes all the time on defense including cutting veterans. The issues are that changes never get made on offense. This is not a manager thing, this is a coaches are reluctant to make changes on offense thing and I am curious to see how things change now that there appears to be more of a concrete plan in place at the qb position. Pierce was an issue with the never being healthy, it took reps away from the backups, he wasn't playing well all that, now that they don't have to worry about that and it possibly being an issue for the offensive struggles I expect to see a more critical eye turned to the rest of the offense from the coaches. Assuming Burke knows what the hell he's looking at there. His preference of Anderson over Denmark doesn't leave me hopeful
  10. well specifically I was thinking of Labatte, he wasn't as good as he was previously to my eyes. I don't think January has changed at all to be honest. Douglas took a step back as well.
  11. but honestly it really showed some of Dunigans ignorance of the situation. He was ranting about making Goltz the starter and threw out the "this guy couldn't get a sniff of playing time last season ahead of Brink or Elliott etc etc" Which is really not true. Burke put in a package specifically to get Goltz playing time as the year went on and came out and said that Goltz was being kept because he felt he was the better option. So that argument from Dunigan kinda falls flat. Too much over reacting without delving into exactly what went on at the qb position and a lot of anger at Buck not being the starter anymore. He seemed quite against that in the segment they did on it. I don't know why people give Mack such a hard time across the board, really the only place he's failed is in the hiring of his coaches, which is a big failing but it's the same old thing, criticise the real problems no need to invent ones.
  12. hamilton got away with that one with that stupid ******* play calling on their last 2nd down
  13. is there a worse run offense close to the goal line than edmontons?
  14. hooooo boy costly penalty there hamilton.
  15. yeah turned into a good finish, who knew! couple real great catches by the esks on that last drive of theirs and game on!
  16. I am mostly just curious to see how it all goes now that the team has actually divorced themselves from Pierce as the starter. Think you gotta give them a chance to see how it goes without that glaring issue that is PIerces health looming over everything.
  17. yeah I just assumed it was common knowledge that I was firmly in the don't fire anyone yet camp.
  18. do you need to ask?
  19. so you were just whining for change for change sake and are part of what is wrong with the discussion around these parts lately.
  20. not sure if hamiltons defense is getting better or edmonton just that bad....
  21. If it were up to me I'd have replaced DelMonaco anyway. Just think too many guys took a step back when he came in and no one has really stepped up and gotten any better.
  22. I just want to see who people want is all, and snuff out all this stupid "I want people fired but don't want to stop and think about replacements" garbage that is going on here.
  23. all you other voters better start naming names before I get angry all call you all sorts of names.
  24. hey i didn't say it was happening, just suggesting that maybe the mistaken thought that continuity is helping is preventing changes... I mean they did think a lot of false things with regards to the quarterbacking this year so there is evidence of poor decision making.
