  1. No because they make changes all the time on defense including cutting veterans. The issues are that changes never get made on offense. This is not a manager thing, this is a coaches are reluctant to make changes on offense thing and I am curious to see how things change now that there appears to be more of a concrete plan in place at the qb position. Pierce was an issue with the never being healthy, it took reps away from the backups, he wasn't playing well all that, now that they don't have to worry about that and it possibly being an issue for the offensive struggles I expect to see a more critical eye turned to the rest of the offense from the coaches. Assuming Burke knows what the hell he's looking at there. His preference of Anderson over Denmark doesn't leave me hopeful
  2. well specifically I was thinking of Labatte, he wasn't as good as he was previously to my eyes. I don't think January has changed at all to be honest. Douglas took a step back as well.
  3. but honestly it really showed some of Dunigans ignorance of the situation. He was ranting about making Goltz the starter and threw out the "this guy couldn't get a sniff of playing time last season ahead of Brink or Elliott etc etc" Which is really not true. Burke put in a package specifically to get Goltz playing time as the year went on and came out and said that Goltz was being kept because he felt he was the better option. So that argument from Dunigan kinda falls flat. Too much over reacting without delving into exactly what went on at the qb position and a lot of anger at Buck not being the starter anymore. He seemed quite against that in the segment they did on it. I don't know why people give Mack such a hard time across the board, really the only place he's failed is in the hiring of his coaches, which is a big failing but it's the same old thing, criticise the real problems no need to invent ones.
  4. hamilton got away with that one with that stupid ******* play calling on their last 2nd down
  5. is there a worse run offense close to the goal line than edmontons?
  6. hooooo boy costly penalty there hamilton.
  7. yeah turned into a good finish, who knew! couple real great catches by the esks on that last drive of theirs and game on!
  8. I am mostly just curious to see how it all goes now that the team has actually divorced themselves from Pierce as the starter. Think you gotta give them a chance to see how it goes without that glaring issue that is PIerces health looming over everything.
  9. yeah I just assumed it was common knowledge that I was firmly in the don't fire anyone yet camp.
  10. do you need to ask?
  11. so you were just whining for change for change sake and are part of what is wrong with the discussion around these parts lately.
  12. not sure if hamiltons defense is getting better or edmonton just that bad....
  13. If it were up to me I'd have replaced DelMonaco anyway. Just think too many guys took a step back when he came in and no one has really stepped up and gotten any better.
  14. I just want to see who people want is all, and snuff out all this stupid "I want people fired but don't want to stop and think about replacements" garbage that is going on here.
  15. all you other voters better start naming names before I get angry all call you all sorts of names.
  16. hey i didn't say it was happening, just suggesting that maybe the mistaken thought that continuity is helping is preventing changes... I mean they did think a lot of false things with regards to the quarterbacking this year so there is evidence of poor decision making.
  17. these teams are just the absolute shits.
  18. other is a cop out unless you start naming names whoever picked that one.
  19. yeah but when you could fire the chef but the only guy to replace him with is the night janitor does it make sense to fire the chef? Come on you are smarter than what you're saying. You're really just coming off as a panicky fool demanding someone lose their job to appease that anger.
  20. there's the burris we know and love. tosses a pick to Grimey.
  21. there are other things to try at this point in time, one of them is trying a new qb. It just makes much more sense in the long term to fire coaches at the end of the year, especially when you're already bare bones on the offensive side of things right now.
  22. I am wondering if they haven't made changes due to continuity rather than guys not being better... just seems strange that they refuse to make changes.
  23. hah! even toronto doesn't want to cheer for that team.
  24. yeah hiring tillman would seriously have me questioning my loyalty to this franchise. Just looking at the mess he left Edmonton along with his legal issues.... no thank you. keep that guy away from this team.
