  1. if Goltz had thrown 4 ints and we'd lost by 20 would it have made any difference? Losses are losses. Pierce isn't doing anything to win games anymore, time to see if the next guy can.
  2. yeah don't worry, we were very vocal about burkes insistance that it's pierce and only pierce.
  3. Compare Pierce and Burris tonight. Burris saw a ton of pressure and got sacked a ton of times too, but he was also able to use his legs and make throws on the run to move the chains, we don't see pierce doing that.
  4. with a proper qb those sacks don't happen. Case in point, Hamilton runs a very obvious 7 man blitz late in the game on 2nd down and pierce doesn't even see it coming and takes a sack. Any other qb sees it coming and at least has a chance of making a play. Pierce has been so bad all teams need to do is send 6 or 7 guys and pierce is getting hit. That was nothing new to hamilton, montreal did the exact same thing. Pierce would look ok for atime then montreal would send 6 or 7 guys each time and the offense disappeared. It's not an o-line problem, it's a qb can't make a play problem.
  5. fugly doesn't begin to describe the bombers offense. That wasn't even a good defense that they looked like ass against, it was the worst defense in the CFL.
  6. for the bomber games most of us hit up the chat, it's pretty solid
  7. That was the other thing to really take note of in this game. Will be very interesting to see how the bombers offense does against a different opponent. It did sound like the Als D did a pretty good job with the Calgary offense... let's see how the bombers O does against the sisters of the poor in Guelph.
  8. I think the biggest thing to keep in mind is how old Calvillo is, we all knew that sooner or later age was going to hit him like a ton of bricks. Doug Brown has talked about it a lot in the last couple years how Trestman put the guy in bubble wrap and made sure no one could touch him, without that cushion it appears he's showing his age.
  9. No I don't go by there much, The two I'm specifically thinking of are on 130th in the SE, but they've changed that so it doesn't block traffic as much and there was one on mcleod just north of the 39th street train station that was always ******** with people blocking mcleod.
  10. If things don't improve I see the guy retiring this season. He won't come back again to take the kind of beating he's taken the first few weeks of this season, and then the Als will really be up the creek without a paddle.
  11. you have no idea the anger that builds up in me when there are morons blocking a road just to go through the Tim Hortons drive through.... the parking lot is bloody empty! Stop blocking the road and walk your fat ass into the store to get your damned coffee rather than making traffic even worse!
  12. until teams figure out their blitz packages. They're not really getting pressure from just the line, they're having to send extra people, once teams recognize where the soft spot is they'll exploit it more.
  13. I think more than anything it was a case of Trestman just slowing it down. Can't ever forget just how old Calvillo is. I think Trestmans offense kept that guy viable for longer than he should have been and now that it's a new coach Calvillo is simply looking his age. This goes for the als o-line as well I think, they have not done a good job this year.
  14. So worst case scenario at the end of the weekend the bombers are still tied for first in the east (everyone at 1-2 how nuts would that be?) or best case scenario they sit alone at 2-1 and bump the ticats to 0-3.... Win that ******* game bombers.
  15. I think he's got more rope than that yet, think that before they fire him they'll explain that he'd damned sure better put in an offense that Calvillo can run or else.
  16. sounds like through the magic of radio that the als defense is doing the same kinds of things they did against winnipeg, stacking the box against the run and sending lots of pressure? How has the Calgary offense done against it? seems like they've moved the ball a bit but having trouble finding the endzone.
  17. I'd agree just send the stuff back (even better if it's shipped and requires a signature, just don't sign for it) and don't pay anything
  18. Calgary radio during halftime of the stamps/als game had an interview with Marcel Desjardins, just made some general comments about what they might be looking to do in the expansion draft. Sounds to me like they'd prefer to convince a qb to come as a free agent than take someone and have that team able to protect more players, unless they felt the qb was just that much of a sure thing. Other comment that seemed to stick out was that he basically dismissed the idea of taking players who are going to be free agents (which is the only thing that makes sense to me) so he's not sure how much quality will actually be exposed from some teams. Nothing ground breaking, but just a few more tidbits of information to chew on.
  19. The internet out here doesn't stream video so well either (it really is like being in a 3rd world country) so i've got to make due with the radio. It's not perfect but it works at least somewhat.
  20. what is truly terrifying is to think how many people would actually give out their credit card information for what in my mind essentially amounts to theft... Some real scummy people in the world who deserves to be raped in the ass with a rusty fork.
  21. it's a big game for both teams. starting 1-2 would not be great for either of them and the loser would be on a real slide. And I still don't have bloody TV to watch it! goddammitsomuch!
  22. but TSN has always been in on the rider fan circle jerk. Hell I'd argue that they started it back around 2003 when the riders started to climb out of being the laughing stock of the league.
  23. I know what you're saying, what I'm saying though is that it's both. The guy isn't as fast or as quick as he used to be and couple that with his other problems and you see why he is nowhere near the qb he was before. It is a sad case of a players physical abilities not being the same but his mental hurdles are also so great that he isn't able to overcome that like some other qbs have done as they aged.
  24. http://www.cfl.ca/roster/show/id/269 http://www.cfl.ca/roster/show/id/3653 really think it's not true after comparing that?
