  1. Take that to the folks bemoaning not getting him.
  2. You ever seen a championship team with a bad defense?
  3. Bullshit, he put the hard miles on his busted ankle and kept going because he was that kind of warrior.
  4. Streveler wasn't a rookie and had already won games in the cfl before... AND did more to win in calgary than collaros did anyway. The way the D was playing that post season no doubt in my mind they could have won if they had to go with just streveler. If they hadn't improved the D though no way collaros would have won. Would have been no difference than the years Nichols was good in the post season and lost anyway because the D couldn't seal the deal.
  5. Hell let's throw in "breaking" faj too.
  6. Streveler played and played well significant portions of the playoffs including that game in Regina. It wasn't all collaros. You said initially he was the big difference maker, I disagree, it was the changes to the D that were the big difference maker because those guys were straight up dominant in that 2019 run. They ruined Dane Evans career they were so good.
  7. I always expected that kola would start the year, but 100% expect that by the end of the year Eli would have the job.
  8. Except the D was so much better in 2019. Nichols was very good in a lot of playoff games for winnipeg but the D let him down. Let us not forget the team was 7-1 when he got hurt. So yes I absolutely believe that a tandem of Nichols and streveler with as good as the D was playing can win that cup.
  9. You don't have to agree with me, but you're wrong if you think the changes on D didn't have more to do with elevating the team considering how much streveler actually played in the post season. Collaros was part of it, but his impact was more the following season. He and streveler both were big parts of the qb picture, it was solidifying the secondary that unleashed the defense to be an ungodly terror.
  10. We might not have got passed the stamps in the semi final if streveler hadn't decided to run all over the calgary defence in the 2nd half. So i reject your premise that collaros was the difference. Here are some other extremely key things that improved the 2019 team for the playoffs: Mason at SAM, Alexander at safety, Taylor at halfback. Jones at db as well. And yes collaros in for injured Nichols was part but they mare a lot of changes to the D leading into the playoffs that set the tone for what was to come, and make no mistake the 2019 playoffs the defense was lights out and a way bigger factor than the offense.
  11. See and watching even just the highlight pack I thought Dobson had some issues. The int for example he was pushed right into collaros' lap as the throw was going out.
  12. Oliveira is a guy built to wear down a defense. Yeah it will be less effective early on, but keep at it and will pay off late. Just need to string together a few more first downs than they have been.
  13. They used a lot of Eli in the 4th quarter when the run game took over. I believe they had extra OL in but perhaps if the guy is good enough to make that much difference he should get more reps.
  14. On this point in particular they flat-out said they were picking with the hope he could full a rotational need and being older he might be more ready... so that was the plan that walters had. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they're not trying to get Kongo because clearly they want to get back to the kind of rotation they had with him. Also, you've hated Jake Thomas for years.
  15. Again, a lot of these issues are far overblown. We don't have a nose... is that a coach issue or a gm issue? Collaros is getting hit and the OL are struggling... well we got pieces on the roster to try and change that up, coaching to not make the switch, but also patience is part of what makes the coaches here good so, as fans we should have some patience. We lost some depth to the NFL, to other teams and to the salary cap, that hurts, so we can't blame the coaches entirely on that. As I said, it's not as bad as some of you guys want to make it seem. A lot of it simply boils down to oshea has more patience.
  16. So the staff does some odd things like dress people to stand on the sidelines all game... but other things are massively overblown. For example most people would have just dropped Richie walker in preseason yet here we are seeing him play pretty well... so the coaches do have some kind of clue we as fans don't. Again there's some flaws but not nearly as significant as fans make it out to be after a couple losses early in the year.
  17. Well correct me if I am wrong but according to star trek we're getting close to WW3 time...
  18. He should go give his GM a stern talking to...
  19. And also, **** calgary. Can't forget that.
  20. Very dangerous because I told my cultists to be violent. Lock him up and let his followers **** around and find out.
  21. He sleeps 8 hours a night! Well actually he's pretty normal in that regard
  22. Kelly is best in the east then you got the mess in Ottawa, the mess in Hamilton and faj... Collaros vaj and Harris trumps the **** over there (though guess we take Harris out now, still collaros and vaj > Kelly and nothing.
