You don't seem to understand. They wouldn't get paid in Canadian funds if a team was in St. Louis. It would only be in American funds. This is what happened the first time around. Our exchange rate had tanked in the 90's. Players playing for CFL teams in the US were getting paid in US funds. Some of them had homes in Canada in the off season so they'd take their US funds back up here & make an extra 25% or more. With the ratio gone & the best players signing in the US for American dollars the Canadian teams were second rate in their own league.

Why would any player who lives in St Louis be paid a foreign currency especially as one as devalued as the Canadian dollar? If you were an American on the St Louis team would you want that?

Vince is sure a spiteful 70 year old. -
Were you around back in 1994 as a fan? Most US teams were drawing 10-15,000 fans a game except Baltimore. Pepper Rogers, the coach of the Memphis Mad Dogs hated the Canadian rules & wanted them changed. Basically said they were ****. Couldn't play on Friday nights because of HS football. Couldn't play Saturday because of NCAA college football. Couldn't play Sunday or Monday because of the NFL. Today they couldn't play because of Thursday Night Football which leaves Tuesday or Wednesdays. If they did play those days virtually no one showed to watch most teams.

It did not work in 1994-95 & it wouldn't work now. First, there'd be no ratio so the team in St. Louis would be all Americans. Secondly, with the exchange rate all the best American players would sign with the team. The 90's had a similar exchange rate back then & we lost players like Damon Allen, Matt Dunigan & others. Having lived thru the last expansion fiasco, I think it's a bad idea & I'd be surprised if the CFL even considers it. Twenty two years ago, the CFL was losing all kinds of money & every team needed the expansion dollars just to survive. The CFL is on much better footing today.

This thread is dedicated to the 2 guys who just love to point out that I & others here are just too negative about the Bombers. I sincerely hope that this thread brings them much happiness & joy or I'll get the Black Knight to bite their legs off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCQ0vDAbF7s

Uniform changes with Adidas may not be dramatic

No problem. -
They sure do.

I remember a time in the distant past when the CFL posted a schedule & people just went to the games instead of constantly complaining.

The only problem with "fixing it" for me is they may not win another for 30 or more years as horrifying as it seems. -

Goldberg would be okay but would he be over more than the Undertaker? And knowing Goldberg's ego he won't go there to lose. -

I don't want to see Sting. The guy lost to Seth Rollins just to lose again to the Dead Man? No thanks. That's as bad an idea as wrestling Stroman. -

Read that the opponent still up in the air & the WWE doesn't think Cena will be ready by WM32. One thing it won't be Braun Stroman due to the negative social media comments & tweets when the idea was first floated. -
I have a hard time feeling sorry for Henoc Muamba after what he pulled last year. I do understand what the player is saying but the large contract he demanded in the end screwed him over. Certainly he had no sympathy for other guys on the Als being paid league minimum last season when he signed that deal.

Hamilton & Ottawa could probably prop us up. No Grey Cup this year or for years to come. We have that itty bitty loan to pay off for the nest 40 years.

Nik doesn't talk like that so he wouldn't post a message like that.

My jerseys will always be the best players from the past that I choose. Unless we win a Grey Cup. -
I can live with a Wednesday but Tuesdays aren't good only that there are still 3 days left in the work week.

I'm not asking for hours of analysis although a TSN half hour show would be nice. I'm just asking that the CFL get it right the first time.

Someone gave the okay without the proper information. I know the NFL has already released what teams are playing home & away but no dates. The NFL schedule announcement is a huge deal. They announce the date it is coming out & at what time. You can bet that the final draft is gone over with a fine tooth comb to prevent any embarrassing mistakes that will make the NFL look bad. Is it too much to ask the CFL to be as diligent? How hard would that be? To absolutely make sure everything is correct. What happened yesterday is a black eye on our phantom commissioner. To me, the mistake is on him. He has to take responsibility. But he's a ghost. Maybe Zak Bagans can investigate the CFL Head Office to see if he is haunting the hallways.
