Ray re-signed in Toronto so he's under contract to the Argos. Wouldn't want to come here to backup Willy. Lulay, bad shoulder & one hit away from retiring still has ideas he wants to be a starter. If he's going to leave just to be a backup somewhere then he might as well just stay in BC as he has roots in Vancouver now as well as being close to his family in Oregon.

I'd be interested as to who you think in the CFL is better & available. As a backup, not a starter.
-
Somewhere between WBBFanWest & Big Blue the truth lies regarding the BOD. I'll just say that the Board has had a hand in the failures of this team. How much I have no idea.
-
No, this is a good signing. Name me another qb who can backup Willy & be effective? A free agent qb from another team not coming here to be the starter that would have been a better signing than this? Don't say Harris as he would never sign here to be the backup.
-
We signed Nicholls. It's a great signing Floyd. Really the best case scenario.

Mike, Rich already told me to stop so why do you have to get involved? You don't have to be his echo in the mountains. Okay, I'll quit talking about the guy as Rich requested.

Miller has this year at least.

Sure, why not. Whatever. WWE Network and Wrestlemania

I listened to the Jerico-New Day exchange & wow all 4 of them seemed to be reading right off of script. Flat is absolutely right. -
Two words.... Who knows?

SPuDs, it comes down to this. I don't care about Bilukudi until he puts on the Bomber helmet & uniform as a player. We may never see him here. Then if he comes here he may or may not be an impact player. Lots of hype on this board for a player who hasn't played a down in the CFL & limited If any NFL regular season action. If & when he gets here then I'll care. simple as that. I'm not pooh pooing (your words not mine) him at all. It's his career choice to stay down south trying to make it in the NFL. I don't hate the guy. I don't like the guy. I really don't care. I just don't get people talking about the guy for 3 years now.

Yeah, we'll pooh pooh it alright. #thoughtpolice #spindoctor ;-)

So, Show now is a face? Heel, face, heel, face. More changes for that guy than a Chamellion in the sun. After awhile it doesn't matter anymore. -

And watch Styles be assigned to NXT. Samoa Joe should be on the WWE main roster. Instead we have Social Injustice. All failed mid card heels. Can't make it on their own so they have to be in a group. The New Day may have sucked, rocked, sucked in 2015 but these guys??? I predict lightning won't strike twice with them. If any of those 4 were dropped by WWE, they'd never be missed. -
Until a receivers coach is actually hired, we don't know how good the coach will be. Seems like you're assuming that he won't be.

Again, he may never play here so why dwell on it? Bilukudi certainly hasn't burnt it up in the NFL. Like I said, I just care about the guys we recruit & want to come here. Let Bilukudi play out his NFL dreams down there for all I care. The guy must be approaching his late 20's by now. His playing window is running out. If he wants to keep chasing shadows well that's his decision as it is his career. Thing is, Bilukudi could come up here, probably start & make a very good living. As well as be much more appreciated than he is now in the NFL. It's not the millions he could make down there but great financially nonetheless. At some point he may have to make that choice.

The way I see it, the saying seems to say that failures coach successes. I don't see it that way. I actually disliked that saying. I'm sure it was made up by some guy who never played or coached a sport in his life. Just because a guy didn't play pro football or maybe he did but wasn't a star player or only went as far as college doesn't make him a failure. The NFL & CFL are proof of that. Did Chris Jones play in the NFL? Scott Milanovich was a non descript backup qb in Calgary along with the Chargers HC Mike McCoy. Jim Popp coached in Saskatchewan before he went to the Als as GM but I don't believe he played in the CFL or NFL. Rick Campbell is the son of CFL legend Hugh Campbell who opened a few doors for him as a young coach. We in Winnipeg have a great former CFL middle linebacker in Mike O'Shea. Still uncertain if he'll ever become a great coach. Mixed reviews so far. Then there's Dave Dickenson in Calgary who was a very good player before be became a coach. All kinds of examples in the NFL so I won't even mention names here.

It's to the point of who cares? Instead of some fans here desperately hoping for a guy to come here who may never show, why don't we just concentrate on the players that do?
-
Howell really did nothing as a receiverd coach to stand out. That being said, Walters gave him an injury prone Moore as his go to receiver. Then there was Clarence Denmark who was a solid 700-1000 yard receiver. There wasn't much else after that.
-
True, I had forgotten that Ray signed but Floyd seems to think there are better backup qbs out there than Nicholls. Where? If the Bombers followed Floyd's advice & signed Harris who is older by a couple of years then it would mean we would have to deal Willy as he is getting starters money. Never happen.
-
They have Jennings. And Lulay. Ever see Wally throw around money like it isn't a manhole cover?
-
The Bombers won't be going for Harris. I can see the Als going after him or with a new regime, Saskatchewan to make a splash. More than likely he signs with the Argos again.
-
BOD hire the President. After that, it's the President who hires the GM. The GM hires the Head Coach & the Head Coach hires the OC, DC & his assistants. Be interesting to see if The Troika can turn things around next season.
-
When I look at the other backups in the league he is probably one of the best. Drew Tate is rotting on the bench in Calgary behind Mitchell. Huff never played him except the last game of the season when he started & looked fine. However, he seems happy there in his limited backup role. Travis Lulay has real injury issues with his shoulder. One hit in the wrong place & his career could be finished. Does a GM really want totake a chance with him & the money he'll want? And he'll want to be a starter. Other than Ray or Harris who would you sign? If we sign Harris then he's the starter & Willy's out. I don't think that'll happen. Do we bring in Ray as a backup at a substantially reduced price? I think it's doubtful that he would he leave Toronto to come here to backup Willy. So then, Nicholls makes sense for the Bombers to sign.
-
Buck was a human punching bag & was absolutely finished as a player. Nicholls gets rid of the ball faster than Buck did. He still has some football left in him. I like Nicholls behind Willy. Hope we re-sign him.
