  1. Watching Bray Wyatt tonight on Smackdown. The guy is the weakest leader of any faction I've seen in a long time. Stroman is just plain bad... lol!!
  2. Everybody seems so high on Bob Dyce. He's a good guy from everything I've heard but he's seems no better a coach than a lot of them out there.
  3. He likes to dance.
  4. Just had to do this.
  5. So HC has 3 yr deal but offensive coaches get 2? Well, we'll see who stays & who goes then...
  6. Miller won't do that with MOS. He'll earn every penny win or lose. I can't imagine the pressure that poor guy will be under next season. Ever worked at a job where you know that your firing is an inevitability? I have & it's a terrible situation. Not really surprising. Miller won't do that with MOS. He'll earn every penny win or lose. Not really surprising. You have no idea.

Ever worked at a job where you know that your firing is an inevitability? I have & it's a terrible situation. Except his firing isn't inevitable. Seems to be the tiny detail missing from your theory. He wins, he stays. He loses, he's gonzo. He's run out of any lives left over he had to save him.

  9. Guys who have jobs that they're not likely to leave for a lateral move. Why not just wish for Austin or Hufnagel while we've got our heads in the clouds?Exactly, like who is going to come here in the situation we're in & leave a good thing behind? Like its been mentioned before.. Some guys lovea challenge. Also, some guys like unstable situations as it often opens up a next level job.. Some guys like unstable situations?
  10. It has its moments but I don't think Bond villains would be robbing Fort Knox today. Just too simplistic of a plot.
  11. Cortez did a great job developing Jonathan Jennings, I thought. However, can you really see George Cortez here under Mike O'Shea as OC? I just can't. Cortez also wants to be hands on as qb coach so the Bombers would have to fire Gene Dahlquist. Can't see MOS doing that.

  13. Good point. Wylie, Hall, & MB had all never seen a CFL game before being hired by the Bombers. Good point. Wylie, Hall, & MB had all never seen a CFL game before being hired by the Bombers. But not all at once. These guys never had the experience. It is/was bound to fail.
  14. So, now the conspiracy reaches out to including Walters and the scouting department? Damn, these guys are smarter than I thought. He's not saying it's a conspiracy theory. It's just guys that can't win in the system or culture they're in here. Danny Mac knows what it takes to win as he's won 2 GC championships as a player. However, something is holding this team back. Maybe McManus should be using his playing experience as a coach instead of scouting. Perhaps we're not using the resources we have properly? Just a thought.Well, that's a better way to put it, but he is saying that Walters hired to fire, to cover his ass. In other words, setting up the scouting dept. to fail, so that he would be safe. And that's ridiculous. You may fail, but you don't hire guys or set up guys to fail to take the heat. Miller might just do that if the Bombers hire this "name" OC & make his Asst HC. I mean, MOS is on his last leg as a HC. A similar record next season or extended losing streak & he'll be fired. So, bring in this new guy & he'll be the new HC as well when the firing happens. That's setting up O'Shea for failure. To the Bombers, it's just a transition plan.
  15. O'Shea can barely keep his head above water without adding STC to his coaching duties. But again, who will come here when MOS in the final year of his contract & the team in flux? I think he'll have to take it on himself which means more work for him. That can't be a good thing.

  17. Well, surprised you asked as it should be obvious. Other teams hire managers & coaches that seem to know how to win. We don't. Our choices all have one thing in common. They lose.
  18. The unfortunate part of keeping this management has resulted in two things. (We see it here). The fanbase will be fractured down the middle with people like me that want everyone gone as they have failed in my eyes & the other camp who don't want change because of the past. The result is a fanbase either afraid to face the future again with new people in place because it means starting over. Or fans angry with the decision to stay the course because they feel no one deserves a final year based on the last two. What this does to the season ticket base is anyone's guess. It can't be good, though. Why would people spend money on a team that just... can't.... win? Nothing about this team is positive right now.
  19. Didn't say half price, you did but... think about it. How much would we have to pay Huff to come here? How much to snag guys like Milanovich? Austin? Jones? How much are we paying Walters & MOS? If you think it's similar to any of those guys, think again. We'd have to pay a premium to get any of those guys mentioned to come here if they were available. Maybe Jones came cheaper as he was never a HC before he went to Edmonton but he'll be in for a sizeable raise when contract talks start with the Eskimos if they haven't started already.
  20. You can't be serious with this post. He kept 2 people on that he knew couldn't do the job, so that he could have them around to fire , to save his job? There is no list. At least one that were aware of, so you don't know if other team's coordinators are, or aren't, on this list/no list. You seriously think that he'd still be around now if he'd fired Tracey and MB last year and still had a similar record? The other alternative is that he actually thought those two coordinators were good at their jobs, which brings his ability to tell good from bad into question. The list I'm talking about is the names that the fans and media have been putting together. PLAP, Buck, Khari, Howell, etc... Better choices would be Brady, Condell, Cortez. Guys who have options who we'd have to pay more and who would want to move to get a shot at a HC job and/or to get out from the shadow of good HC's. I doubt O'Shea would want to pick one of them though because they would all be better choices for the HC job too. Pay more. TBurgess, you realize what you just said? This is the Blue Bombers here. The words hire & pay more used in the same sentence are oxymorons when it comes to hiring coaches. We just don't do that kind of thing. You know iso. Unless you have full access to coaches salaries and that of other teams. How do you know that we don't pay market price for coaches. Your conjecture is unfounded unless you can back it up with proven numbers. When Wade was hired one of the first things he said was that he was going to significantly increase the football operations budget. Okay. LOL! Look at our entire staff. All neophytes. From President on down to HC. They were rookies. You don't pay top dollar for guys who never proved a thing. They don't get the big bucks their first contract. IF they proved themselves then they'd cash in on their second contracts. Nah, these were cheap hires all through. And we're getting what the Bombers paid for.

I doubt O'Shea would want to pick one of them though because they would all be better choices for the HC job too. This question has nothing to do with claiming a coach is keeping coaches on to protect himself from being fired. O'Shea was on H&L yesterday and was asked if he would offer someone an associate HC position to attract the right person (no names mentioned because they would all still be under contract and likely in playoff hunts) his answer was unequivocally yes. He even went on to say that one of the things he views as his responsibility is the long term stability of the club and that means bringing in the right personnel for that. So, bringing in a 'name" with one year left in the MOS contract? And if the team poops the bed the MAME guy they bring in as OC & AHC goes down with the team & there goes his reputation. Also, how can they give a new guy a 3 year deal & the other coaches are left dangling? How is that for morale on the coaching staff. No quality assistant is going to come here with a 1 year deal. This team is a mess coaching wise. It'd have been better to start fresh.

  23. I think this is a financial move by Miller & the Bombers. They could afford to fire Bellefeuille but the team doesn't want to clean house with everyone i'd assume finishing off their 2nd year of 3 year contracts so he took the fall because it was the cheapest thing to do. Funny though how MOS gets a free pass from some vocal positron Bomber fans here & in the media because of the Willy injury but the guy who it affected most in MB gets fired to appease the masses. It's a great excuse for O'Shea but a clean shot to the head for MB.
  24. What a load of crap. How do you uncover new coaches if you don't even give them a chance. If they deserve it of course. If everyone thought like you than we wouldn't have up an coming coaching talent like Jason Maas, Dave Dickenson or Marcus Brady. The same can be said for current coaches like John Hufnagel and Kent Austin. If Buck Pierce has the right aptitude and smarts. Why not? Same goes for Marcus Howell. A guy like Pierce has worked one on one with many different OC's over his college and pro career. I'm sure he's picked something up over those years. So here we go. We hire another guy like Buck who doesn't have experience. he hasn't even been a qb coach. As if that has worked before. So, I guess Blue Bomber State University is off & running... hiring inexperienced coaches & managers galore for both in class & on the job training.
  25. Nope. Nothing at all. LaPo is the best choice of all but why would he want to come back to the team that stabbed in the back in the shape we're in now with a lame duck head coach? And I truly believe MOS will never sign another HC contract with the Bombers. So, the only way I see Lapo ever coming back is if he was GM & HC. At least then Lapo would know he wouldn't have a cowardly GM stabbing him in the back sacrificing himself to save his own neck like Mack did in 2012. And we know that Walters is just "too valuable an asset" to be dismissed for LaPo. Cough, cough...You take a shot at Mack but you don't have a problem with the fact Lapo stabbed his OC in the back in 2011. Bit of a double standard there.Mack was useless to begin with so he deserves all the shots he gets. And, can't be a double standard if I never knew it. So, what did he do?Lapo firing Barresi the day after the Bombers lost the GC - making Barresi the scapegoat. Yeah, remember that now. Had forgotten.
