  1. I dunno. My question is after watching that debacle last night, how can Jim Popp justify spending all that money on Henoc Muamba yet not spend any money on the Als quarterback position?
  2. The guy is 38 years old, wrestles over 300 nights a year plus every major PPV, is on Smackdown, Raw, constantly cuts promos & does his charity stuff with Make A Wish Foundation. The guy is probably exhausted.
  3. Don't know how anyone can say that coaching in Winnipeg is worse than coaching in Montreal.
  4. So is IGF. The smallest capacity for a Grey Cup in a generation. Well done, Wade Miller. Slow clap. Clap. Clap.
  5. As far as the qb situation goes for Montreal, Henoc Muamba was a great signing... Those Als qbs are the worst by far in the CFL. But hey, they got their linebacker.
  6. I'm sure he says that to all the girls.
  7. For 23 regular season games, the Als can have Muamba.
  8. It is funny. But really what's there to do, other than sell tickets? This is a league that expanded to the US in 1993 & gave their franchises six months to get up & running.
  9. True that - but only here in Commonwealth do the Bombers absolutely suck butt. I did see them play two great games here - two - the loss to Dan Crowley which was also Khari Jones' coming out party (51 to 49 or something like that was the final score) and the infamous Milt Stegall TD (and that wasn't a great game, just a great ending). Other than those two games, it's like, I dunno - I'd get it if Edmonton were Montreal with tons of distractions downtown but it's definitely not. However, at home, the bombers play more consistent against the Eskimos. Still struggle at times but usually they give them a game (and even win a few). I'm hopeful that we can pull of a win. Not the end of the world for me if the Eskimos win the game though as they are my second fav, but they're still 2nd in my books AND they have 2nd pretty much locked up in the West. So I'm going to be optimistic on this game. What happens if we lose though? Do we pack it in and start airlifting in players to see who we can bring in next year full time? Or too early yet? How can you stand living in Edmonton with all the socialist hordes?
  10. Yeah but it's going to be a tough sell unless they bring in Hufnagel to run everything anyway. You know what sells? Results. Not names. These guys put a roster on the field that can win fans will be back. Better performance by Kyle Walters and a new, quality offensive coordinator should work wonders for this team. I maintain that if we go 5-13 or 4-14 changes will have to be made at the coaching level. I just can't see MOS surviving. We'll be hard pressed to equal our record of last year. We were woefully unprepared for the Willy injury at the qb position. That's on both Walters & MOS for thinking our backups were CFL calibre players when they were not. . Why be so rigid? Coaching isn't the biggest issue so why fire the coach? New OC and better talent should provide better results and we can give O'Shea the proper tools to succeed. Selling credibility & season tickets will be the biggest issues for the Bombers this off season, I'd think.
  11. I guess when you're as brutal as Crompton is, eventually you can injure yourself.
  12. As I can't read the Freep newsfeed here I don't care if Lawless left or not.

  14. We were probably never going to sign him so time to move on.
  15. Signing Lawrence Taylor in his prime couldn't help the Als with the qb situation they have...
  16. Your right so y do we want to keep MOS again? Because he's not been given the tools to be successful. Kyle Walters hasn't brought in enough talent. His draft picks haven't gone above and beyond, the only guys who seemed to work out are free agent signings or trading for known CFL guys. When left to find guys on his own he's failed thus far. You can't expect a coach to work miracles. Give him a roster that can win when injuries hit and then see what he's like as a coach. Excuses, sorry. Why should MOS get a pass when other HC don't? Three years as a STC in Toronto & that was it. With that logic, we should have kept Tim Burke. maybe he would have become a good coach & he never had talent either. Funny, 2 years ago no one was using the lack of talent angle or Burke needs time to become a great head coach so we better keep him around. I think Tim Burke had way more talent to work with to be honest. Except maybe at qb. But the Burke Bombers were the most painful team to watch I have ever seen. I found myself not caring about 5 minutes into a game, at least I can watch the Bombers this year even if they're getting it handed to them. Walters has done some good things for this team, but considering he's been here for 2 years he hasn't done nearly enough yet. The challenge flag should have been thrown. MOS admits it now. Just the way the catch was made looked contested. Crucial time of the game & the catch put the Bombers in scoring position. At that moment throwing the flag would have been the right call. Had MOS thrown that flag & the catch overturned we may have gone to overtime. What's the difference between throwing that flag or going for a first down on short yardage? Both are gambles coaches have to take. It would have been worth it. As it stands we're a 4-9 team & counting anyway, our HC is a genius in waiting & our GM deserves another year of mediocrity before some people here feel he is accountable. Good luck selling this coaching & management team to Winnipeggers other than the hard core fans here next year if nothing changes.

  18. How has Tajh Boyd looked at practices?
  19. Yeah, he needs to be dismissed. Go back to reaking havoc at pee wee games.
  20. Yeah, he got a push alright. Off a cliff taking Rollins with him. How can any wrestling fans take these 2 guys seriously anymore?
  21. One can only hope our petro dollar rebounds soon. Or maybe not... gotta get the votes of Southern Ontario & the manufacturing sector. To hell with everybody else. Low dollar they like.
  22. That place at over 18,000 will sell out every game. No worries there. If the NHL expands only to Vegas then they're crazy. I don't like the fact that a Quebec separatist owns the arena & wants a team.
  23. Havent finished watching it yet but read the recap online. Its funny because word was Vince was in "panic" mode after the last few ratings and his response was more Kane? The Corporate Kane/dual personalities thing is a fun little MID CARD angle (even if its a rip off of TNA). Putting Cena early and Roman/Bray in the main event when their program is really feeling like it's dragging is odd too. And again, another issue with WWE is there softening of face/heel alignments and making it confusing for fans. It makes no one over when you do that. Teasing issues with Orton/Ambrose. Paige comes out to a pop then teams with the faces, then turns. Bellas get more heat on the faces. Its just all backwards. heard there was even a "Russo" chant during the climactic Kane angle Whatever it was it felt like I was watching a kiddie show. Glad I could just turn it off after the segment ended rather than have paid a ticket to get in to the show. I get the Russo chants from the crowd because that is exactly how Russo would have booked things. The WWE trying to be cute. If the old Kane (hate the term Demon) had come out & started brawling with Rollins every show, then fine. But this is utterly stupid.
  24. What the hell happened tonight on Raw & the storyline between Kane & Seth Rollins? How much more stupid does it get? Maybe Corporate Kane should have transformed into Demon Kane in a phone booth? Oh & that broken ankle? Ha,ha. Well, whatever, right? #embarrassing
