  1. What's that beeping thing in orbit? Sputnik??
  2. Okay Jacquie. Carry on. Go be an eager beaver & YOU keep looking. Like I said I read it somewhere 2 years ago. I'm not a liar & you should know from my nearly 8.000 posts I don't post s h i t about anyone here. It's what I read. If I could find it I would post it.
  3. You could make the argument it already has as both TV numbers and league wide attendance are down this year. I know I"m losing interest extremely fast. CFL always has been a second rate pro league but it is our league and I support it. But now it's NHL rookie camp - and McDavid - that I'm interested. In fact, I'm far more interested in reading about McDavid's first day at rookie camp - which was just a physical - than I am about anything CFL, including who the QB is going to be. As for the officials - I'm still extremely pissed at that moron Al Bradbury who was looking on when Willy took that hit on the chin. There's supposed to be zero tolerance when a QB gets hit in the head, regardless of the circumstance that lead to that hit in the head. No different than when a punter is contacted. Yet it seems to be open season on Bomber QB's especially. Trust me, if I were a dlineman playing against the bombers, I'd have no concern about hitting a bomber QB low, late, or to the head. Why? Because I already know I got a 50/50 chance of getting away with it (or better) and any retribution on my QB will be called immediately. Hence why I call this a second rate league - there are clearly bias's when it comes to officiating. For a guy who's not interested in the CFL or the Bombers, you sure seem to spend a lot of time talking about them. Who gives a flying **** about the Oilers?
  4. The Edsel is a great car. In 1961 I shall buy one.
  5. Again, this is not worth arguing. We roster the same number of canucks as every other team. This "we start 8 Canadians" thing is really rather irrelevant. It isn't irrelevant when we have the worst Canadian talent in the CFL & we start 8 instead of 7. Tells you how weak our American talent is as well. To me, it's very relevant.
  6. Every player is different. That's no headline. What everyone responds to is a coach that not only holds himself & his staff accountable but his players. If a player screws up there are real (with apologies to Kavis Reed) consequences.
  7. Is Addison Richards unable to get into the lineup even on special teams?
  8. Save his ass he might. If I was a GM I'd never hire a friend to be a HC. That way if I have to fire the coach, I'm not destroying a friendship so there'd be no second guessing or regret. My conscience would be clear. How many times does it need to be said that Walters and O'Shea were NOT friends when O'Shea was hired.Everything I read says they were friends.Links or it didn't happen. No thanks. How am I supposed to find a link? it's what I've read & heard. You choose to not believe well I don't care. If you've read it then there should be a link somewhere. Then you find it if it means so much to prove me wrong. I've looked and haven't found anything that says they were friends or roommates. You made the assertion so it's your responsibility to either prove it or stop making the claim because that's how it works on message boards. Ha, ha. Sure. My responsibility. Don't be so high & mighty. This is an internet board not a journalism class. I say I read it somewhere, you say you don't believe me by basically calling me a liar. Well then, if you're so offended by it then you continue to look because I'm sure not. I have never posted rumours here about anyone or anything in the past. So, like I say if you want to play school teacher here then you find it. I don't answer to you here.
  9. Exactly my point about J & J. Maybe team them with a mid carder heel like Miz but never should have been with Rollins.
  10. With Robert Marve's knee problems & history of surgeries, I don't understand why he was signed in the first place. Why couldn't our great scouts have found a young qb who was healthy? With Marve's knees it would have been pretty easy to see this coming. I know a lot of fans did. I feel badly for Marve but this is the problem with our team, our so called brilliant scouts bringing in talent like this. How long did anyone associated with the Bombers actually expect this guy to last? Did McManus, Walters or MOS actually think he'd have realistically been expected to play half a season as a starter let alone half a decade??
  11. GMs usually get at least one HC to sacrifice before they're fired so we'll see what happens at the end of the season & what Walters does depending upon our record.
  12. I'm not a Walters fan but he'll get 3 years. I don't think MOS will if we don't win half the games left. In other words go 4-4. That would give us as 7-11 record. That's just if we go 50% which still isn't good enough. The fanbase will be rightfully angry.
  13. They were funny but they made Rollins look weak.
  14. I heard Ken Ploen is retiring... in 1968.
  15. The J & J security angle along with Corporate Kane? As stupid as it got & will probably get stupid once again when Kane returns. Coming from the same writers who give us the embarrassing Rusev- Summer Rae- Ziggler-Lana angle.
  16. He's a dirt bag.
  17. Hufnagel released a statement today saying he's under contract past the 2015 season & intends to honour his contract. If the Riders wanted him they'd have to buy out his contract & I'm sure there'd be players, draft picks & cash they'd have to give up plus pay him maybe in the realm of half a mill minimum (or more) a season to get him. I don't know if it's be worth it. But I wouldn't put it past that team to do it.
  18. What's that say about the guy we got when we know Greaves isn't very good?
  19. Bryan married a WWE Diva Brie Bella with expensive tastes not to mention her sister Nikki dates John Cena who makes a ton of money. I don't know if that marriage can survive a 75% loss of income if Bryan can't wrestle anymore. Brie is the down to earth one. Not to mention she still works. And Bryan made a ton of money in WWE. If he leaves WWE, he's getting huge paydays in New Japan and ROH. He could survive and prosper on Indy dates alone for the next ten years. In WWE, the wrestlers have to pay their own road expenses (hotel, car, food). On the Indy scene, the promoter bears those costs and the talent also gets 100% (usually) of his merch. Some guys make more money the first couple of years out of WWE then they do in it. Good luck to Daniel then. I just hope the doctors who cleared him to wrestle have malpractice insurance. If I recall, the doctor who has cleared him is well respected. The issue is the WWE doctor who has come under suspicion by CM Punk. And that issue has impacted WWE in that they dont want to be looked at as clearing someone who shouldnt be. Its all a bit over-zealous in my opinion. Not that long ago, 60+ guys were working. Now they are hyper-sensitive, ever since Lawler had a heart attack that had nothing to do with his fitness to compete. Flair has said WWE cleared him for contact also. Sting had no issue whatsoever. Hogan wasnt cleared (supposedly). WWE is public now so I get it to a degree. Especially with broken down broke-ass jobbers suing them left and right. But thats a by-product of the NFL players getting a pay day over concussions. WWE will always be biased. Like why a guy who was well known as being straight edge (Punk) was routinely drug tested and how Hunter managed to never be tested and was huge into his 40's. Edit

Hunter seemed to quit the business as a wrestler pretty quickly. he can't be more than in his early 40's. Looks to be in terrific shape. Did he quit because of his continuing & evolving role with the WWE Board as well as overseeing developing the tv shows in NXT & WWE or was it health related? Gawd, I don't want to see Flair in a wrestling ring again. He's out of shape with a big gut, shrunken muscles, is too old & looks terrible. I want to remember The Nature Boy as he was in his prime with the long perfectly coifffed blonde hair & not the way he is now.
  21. My heart says the Bombers beat the Riders because I love this team but deep down i just think that the Bombers have too many deficiencies on offense (including play calling) & special teams to realistically win the Banjo Bowl. Once again, the defense gets hung out to dry.

  24. I feel badly for Bryan as he finally made it to the top of the WWE by becoming WWE Champion after years or hard work. Brett Hart suffered a career ending injury with a kick to the head by Goldberg. He was never able to wrestle again. It really messed Brett up for a long time. Then he fell off his bike hitting his head on the ground & had a stroke. Hart is definitely not the same man he was. I hope for Daniel Bryan's sake he is able to lead a normal life. He's a young guy who easily could stay with the WWE in some capacity behind the scenes or start a new career doing something else.
  25. So just so I know, how many times will you have to be told that the BoD had NOTHING to do with any of those hires except for Wade Miller? Ultimately, the **** falls on the BOD if the underling hirings don't work out. I'm guessing you haven't been on a lot of boards. I have experience on one here in Calgary. We did hire 3 head football coaches for 3 different community teams under the same organization when I was on that board over 3 years from 2004 thru 2006. I actually helped set up that very board as our first bantam team went from being an expansion team being run exclusively by the league that set it up to a team part of that league but acting independent of it decisions wise. Under the board, our organization grew from one bantam team with 34 kids (ages 13-15) to 2 atom teams (ages 8-10), a pee wee team (ages 11 & 12) & a midget team (ages 15-17) with nearly 200 players. I congratulate you on your involvement in your community. Boards like that need good people who are prepared to roll up their sleeves and get the dirty work done. Having said that, I can assure you that the type of board you sat on is very different from that of the Bombers. I've been on NGO boards, community boards like the one you have served on and corporate boards. The Bombers will function very much like the corporate boards. They'll approve budgets, set overall goals for the corporation, set policies and by-laws, review various aspects of the organization and receive reports from Miller, and if required, from other senior managers. What they won't do is personnel stuff or football operation stuff. Trust me, you do not want a board messing with that stuff. Ever. Thank you. The Blue Bomber board will fire Miller if they don't believe he is doing the job. I imagine if that happened they could do a total housecleaning if need be by firing Walters & MOS. Not beyond the realm of possibility. However, it's all about timing & when (if) it happens. In reality, firing Miller means the team didn't do well so a trickle down effect would take place anyway when a new President is named.
