When I saw the title I thought... Oh well... -
Bottom line is both GMs didn't or haven't done enough. Never liked Mack & not impressed with Walters. 12-27 is the colour. Losing is the game. How can the Stamps, Toronto & Montreal keep hitting home runs in the CIS & signing International free agents & we can't?
-
I just know that the screws are going to be tightened significantly on the folks running this organization if we don't win both games &/or play badly in Regina this weekend. Things could get real interesting in the next 2 weeks.
-
Buck Pierce would be a better choice and I'm not even kidding! Three years to heal up.
-
Taman needs to be told that you don't puts suits in the wash & hang them to dry. Especially now when he needs to make a good impression finding a job. Not here, please not here.
-
Somewhat agree but hard to argue his success Hiring Tillman would only go over in Riderville. Not here. What he did, no thanks.

This is hopeful, but Walker has a long history of being a terrible receiver in this league. Where's the "Fire Walters" thread? Start it up and I'll be there. Is it a case of the guy having no faith in his scouting or rookies in general or do the scouts just suck that much? Getting real tired of seeing other teams pluck unknown players out of nowhere but Walters is on every guy who's had a cup of coffee in the CFL like a fat kid on a smartie. He is the complete anti-thesis to Joe Mack which is not what this team needed, you need someone who does everything well. O'Shea will be gone before Walters. GMs usually have a shelf life of at least one HC they hired before they're fired themselves. So, if the Bombers keep sucking this season Walters will still have a job in 2016.

I tried to explain to you how you needed to focus your complaints, but you just kept on with the scatter shot complain about everything mentality. That's why people are giving you grief. I explained why taking guys at non OL positions early isn't that bad IF you use the ratio flexibility properly and you should focus your complaining on that, but instead you kept on complaining about that, and the other thing, and something else. You really are a curmudgeon. Not many are giving me grief. About as many as the ones giving you grief about how you think O'Shea is a good coach. Not everyone is agreeing with your take. Look, we all have our opinions. We all see things differently. I like reading your posts. Don't always agree but that's okay as I still respect your POV. That's what this place is all about. -
Has to clear NFL waivers first....
-
Chamblin had lost his mind as a head coach. The way things went down yesterday I think it wasn't a stretch to think he'd be fired today. But Taman was a surprise.
-
I don't get it. I mean - in Marve's post game comments he said they didnt' have many two and outs and was surprised they only garnered 130 odd yards in total offense. I watch the games here all the time. Here's an easy pass - your SB goes on an up and out (to the near side line) and as he's breaking you huck the ball up and he gets it. Nichols and the Eskimos do that play - well 'routinely' would be the wrong word but they do it. Why can't we run plays like that. I don't understand. Other teams do that too. During the press conference I was so disappointed in the bomber media - are they paid by the bombers? No really tough questions ( I would have cut Marve some slack but I would have been all over O'Shea and I'd challenge him on the game film - does he not have eyes upstairs relaying info to him - I would have asked him that too). Like ISO - I'm getting sick of this. And it's deja vu - as I had the same attitude in March - I had pretty much 'officially' dropped the Oilers and decided I was going to go back to cheering for the Jets. However, the draft Lottery and subsequent house cleaning that happened in the Oiler front office has me back on their side (remember folks - the Jets LEFT and even then it took me to the '06 run before I could start investing emotionally in the Oilers and you just don't turn these things 'off'' - at least I don't). Eskimos are slowly growing on me - and the bombers are slowly dying in me. Another year or two of this (and especially if the Eskimos go to another Grey Cup) and I may become a complete sell out and the Eskimos may become my team. As for the QB thing - I agree Brohm has to go but I would want to make sure. He starts next week on Labour Day, and he starts again in the Banjo Bowl. I'd tell him flat out too if I were MOS, MB, or Buck - this is it Mr.Brohm. If we lose both of these games - the QB we bring in will be the 3rd stringer, Dominique moves to #2 and Marve #1 - you (Brohm) are unemployed and hopefully your university degree is real because you're going to need it. We really don't have a choice and all we can do as fans is hope Brohm can prove us wrong. Why wait? Might as well move on down the road now. See ya. I'm pissed yeah & sure I'm bitching but so are a lot of Bomber fans. I haven't given up on this team. I still care.

Marve offered hope after Brohm. Now we seem to know what he's about. Dominique Davis, next?

Man,I just hope Waggoner works out like some here say. And 3 years from now I'll gladly be eating crow because I know there'll be people here that'll go out of their way to remind me. . -

Considering that we signed Sam Hurl to a big contract & have Bass & Randle as well on the outside I don't see Waggoner starting at MLB as some have suggested for a long time, if ever. He's a depth player for us right now. That's all he may ever be. As far as some saying here they trust Walters with this pick, what has he done the past 2 seasons to earn that trust? He's 9-18 career as a GM with the Bombers. There's nothing saying that Waggoner has to be a MLB. But, if he won the spot over Hurl, then I would call that upgrading our Canadian talent, which is a good thing, right? Again, you keep going on about the O line and how we're going to miss out on talent but you don't say who that talent actually is. Sounds to me like you're complaining for the sake of complaining. You don't like Walters, fine. I'm not sold on him either, but I think that Waggoner was a smart call. Is it guaranteed to work out? Of course not. But no pick ever is. We may be the worst team in the CFL come end of season & then no first round pick? That's okay because Waggoner MAY become the starting MLB over Hurl someday who was specifically brought in & paid well to be that MLB? Not happening. Not having (potentially) the first pick of the best player in CIS this season & somehow that's okay? Somehow,I don't see that as a great trade off. Yes because a smart GM will always ask himself "Will we be the worst team in the league at years end?" and then make decisions based on that assumption. Come on man, it's ok to use a little logic. It helps season the rants nicely. Think he'd have made that choice if he felt we'd have a chance at the first pick in the draft? Walters obviously overrated the team he had. Just like Taman in Saskatchewan. -

All I'm saying is I don't agree with picking Waggoner as a supplemental pick then having to lose a first round pick the next year in the CFL draft. That's it. Funny how to some questioning the draft strategy of Walters is looked upon as a crime here. Or somehow it's complaining. -

Can't build a house without a foundation. A good team builds from the O Line out as the foundation. We don't have it.. So just out of curiosity, who do you see as the "can't miss - guaranteed starter - guy who will fix all of our o line issues" 2016 draft pick that we're going to miss out on? Can't answer that. All I know is we're going to miss out on a high draft pick which for us at this time is unfortunate. If we were 9-9 or 10-8 it wouldn't bother me as we'd be a good team on the rise .But chances are after seeing the debacle on Saturday with Marve & Brohm, we'll probably end up 4-14 or 5-13. -

The offense was done in the first quarter last Saturday. I'd say they quit as a unit. Maybe not on O'Shea but certainly the offense quit on Bellefeuille & Marve as he was totally unable to do anything at qb.

Maybe Waggoner can throw the ball?Unbelievable. If you hold the first pick you can trade it for assets or make the pick. No offense to Waggoner but we're really handicapped here. We won't be rebuilding our OL with a second round pick.If Waggoner is truly a first round talent, I've got no problem with Walters using it this year in the supplemental draft. So, we grabbed Waggoner & say we finish last or second last. Then have nothing to show for it? We need offensive linemen not linebackers or defensive backs. How does that make us better? It doesn't. Not saying Waggoner isn't a good player but in the big picture with everything we need on offense, I don't believe he was worth a first round pick.I trust Walters assessment on Waggoner. For all we know he could be our starting MLB in a year or two. Or not. What do we need right now? What part of the team has been killing it for years? What do we need the most? A future middle linebacker or an offensive lineman that can block? Unless we are extremely lucky as in fluke we'll never find that player in the second round. I mean, hey... it's taken half a decade to get where we are now with the offensive line, why not stretch it out to a decade? Nothing says you have to use a bunch of Canadians on your offensive line. We're starting 8 Canadians now, there is no reason that we couldn't use 3 americans on the offensive line. I wish they would chose that option. Our other Canadian players can hold down the fort, but they are stuck in the old timey mindset that you just use Canadians on the offensive line and that's that. When Dave Ritchie was here they had no problems using an american on the interior of the offensive line, wish they'd give it a try now because I think it could really help. I absolutely agree & have been saying what you've just said but the mindset is there... So if you agree why get so bent out of shape when they take a linebacker with a high pick instead of an OL? Focus your energy on fighting for the ration flexibility to help the OL not on drafting OL high. I get bent out of shape because the CFL mindset is to build an OL with Canadians. Until that ends we have to keep drafting them. We need help on offense more than defense. The biggest problem for the Bombers is the OL. If we had even just a decent line we'd probably be 6-3 & not 3-6. A lot of fans will be very unhappy draft day when we don't have a first round pick. I just don't agree that it was the right time for the Bombers to have made that move as an organization. -

Hey if you get offended being compared to Nasty Nate don't offend O'Shea comparing him to Burke. He is a way better coach than Burke could ever hope to be. Okay, point taken. Although, I still don't think he's a great coach. O'Shea handles the media differently than Burke did. Burke was totally pathetic trying to look like this tragic figure. O'Shea at least has his pride. As far as Nate goes, how would anyone feel here being compared to him? Man, I'm going to have to spend about an hour in the shower scrubbing as now I feel so dirty.

I feel like you have these mixed up. Their offense is pretty good? I can't imagine you'd be calling our offense any good after giving up 10 sacks and scoring 13 points. They have better quarterbacking if Smith plays.
