Most people here probably don't know who those guys were. They were a favourite of Ed Sullivan performing on his show numerous times. I do remember reading that Wayne & Shuster had opportunities to go to the States & have their own show with one of the 3 major US networks at the time but chose to stay in Canada. They'd have been a lot wealthier & famous had they done that but didn't want to. Can you imagine writing that story? It would have been hillarious being in that room with everyone getting it done.

May not have been much of a QB but that's a damn fine name for a footballer. I always thought Gabler was a good qb. He just had no talent around him to work with. He was here in 69 & 70. About as bleak then as it was in 2013.

I guess the coaches think Brohm gives us the best chance to win after Drew Willy. We'll find out soon enough.

I like SPuDS & I'm not trying to single him out but no one here can label an offense or an OC like we do Bellefeuille without first knowing the game inside & out at the pro level. We're fans & have no idea what it's like to coach & run a CFL offense or whether it's vanilla or not. Tired of the bitching about MB. I was at the game in Calgary & it was Pat Tracy's special teams that lost us that game. We had a couple of long TD's & Willy was playing well. Stop the mistakes on ST that day we'd have won. Hard to disagree. Brohm has not looked good but I also don't believe marve is ready (or healthy enough) to take brohms spot. I truly believe marve needs to prove he can run MB's offense (as crummy as it can be) without needing to run away at first pressure every time, Riddle me this folks. Marcel's offense is vanilla, outdated and simple.. If this is the case, why can't such an elite stud like marve pick it up and use it to his advantage in practice or scrimmages? Hard to disagree. I'm not trying to defend MB here but how do you know his offense is "vanilla, outdated & simple"? Have you ever been a coach at any level? A CFL OC? What exactly are your football qualifications based on to make such a statement? Come back with a new & complete CFL offensive playbook & show us how you would call the plays against every defense you'd see. Oh & don't forget blocking schemes as well.

TSN puts all its money into the in studio panel, especially with Milt's suits. They spend very little on their football broadcast crew as witnessed by Black's continual employment as a football broadcaster when he has no business being anywhere near a football stadium. The man should have been fired years ago.

Then why say it? I was just wondering. If you don't believe he's the next AC it serves no purpose to even mention Calvillo. AC was one guy out of how many who enjoyed success after age 30 after bombing out with teams when he was younger.

Brohm is, never was & never will be Calvillo.

Even if he starts, with a bad knee I just can't see how Willy is going to be able to be mobile enough to get away from the rush or extend a play if he has to. I'm worried that he'll be a sitting duck out there & could suffer a more serious injury. Then he'll be gone for an extended period & well be SOL.

Brohm doesn't inspire the troops. They appear to just give up when he goes in. He just never looks ready.

I read after Miller hired Walters back in December of 2013 that he didn't do an executive search or much of one because he said he got to know Walters & felt he was best for the job. Who is right & who is wrong? IF that is true, that wasn't Miller's mandate. He was hired to do a proper search & if he didn't then he should have done one.
