You can do worse at backup than Kevin Glenn and the Bombers have done worse since basically Kevin Glenn was a backup here there first time, that's a decade. Hell they've done worse than Kevin Glenn as a starter for most of the last decade too. For a team that has sucked for years at qb we sure are picky. Like we've had nothing but superstars & all stars playing qb for us the last decade so I guess I get why we are what we are as a fanbase. We've been oh so spoiled with some of the dandies we've had. Interesting hire. The AD went against the alumni, huh? SFU was burned badly by Jacques Chapdelaine. I think there's a lot of hesitation by the AD to hire a CFL assistant as a head coach now because of what happened. Jacques promised the university a long term commitment. Then he jumped to the Riders first opportunity he got after only one season as HC. SFU can't afford to be hiring their fourth HC in 4 years if Reinebold decided to jump back to the CFL a year after he was hired. Too risky so this was the safe hire. Nothing replaces game speed & having to be successful under pressure. Or having to make throws & completions before your head is torn off of you. You need to play to develop. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong. Some guys can develop while others can't.

Big deal. But how was that new field financed? Was it done with help from the Esks at all with the condition that a game gets played there? There's a lot of people in Fort Mac temporarily who live in Calgary or Edmonton, this is probably just the Esks trying to make sure that market spends their non cocaine disposable income on the CFL as opposed to other sports. No one is thinking of putting a CFL team in Fort McMurray, it's all about Edmonton marketing to everyone in norther alberta. Send them free tickets to an Esks game. There's always 25,000 empty seats.

What separates BC from Sask & Winnipeg is their defense. Bighill & Elimimian are unbelievable. Riders to me are old. Chick, Brackenridge & others are over 30. Same on offense with Getzlaff & Durant. Bagg isn't the same player he used to be. They've not replaced the loss of Picard & Heenan. I think Riders are in for a struggle.

What on earth makes him seem cocky to you? The fact that he said med school was a serious option for him? That's not cocky, that's honest. Did you read his comments after he signed with the Giants? Never thanked the Stamps once. Or anyone else for his good fortune. He said his dream was to always play in the NFL. Never the CFL & that he knew he needed to play well in the CFL to do that. He also said he felt slighted as he was never chosen to play in the East West Shrine Bowl. It isn't what he said so much as how he said it.

And if he qualified for pre-med, he is no dummy. Wasn't accepted. Studying engineering at the U of R.

Cornish is good but I want to see him get the yards w/o Jones and Bryant. IMO....he won't.Lavertu is a stud. They won't skip a beat at center. Craighead's back at guard & Harrison is no slouch at tackle. He's started plenty of games in the past. The Stamps OL has lost some depth but their starting 5 is still very, very good. I don't care how good Lavertu is, he's not an equal replacement for Jones. I'm telling you that while the Stampeders OL may not have the depth it had last season, the starting 5 will still be among the best if not the best in the CFL this season.

The OL killed Willy last year. It had to be better this season or what's the point?.

Brohm had one good half of football. That doesn't make him a solid qb. If anything there's a lot of questions that need answering about him.

He has a chance in the CFL. Very good hands.
