Some, I'd say not lots... don't like the NFL which is of course their choice.

I hope you aren't refering to me. After reading your post, let me guess, you are a twelve year old posting in your parents basement. Who uses the word douchbag anyways? Thanks for the welcome Well, I never named names or singularly picked you out so it's funny how that message offended you. And if I never mentioned you then I have nothing to apologize to you for.Besides, what better way to flush out a guy with an ego the size Migs has than by being insulting. For all I know it is you Migs so you're welcome back. Migs has done this before here & on other sites being perma banned only to come back under some new nickname he came up & denying it's him only to be discovered later. Time will tell if Migs has come back as he has a definite posting style. If you're not Migs then no need to be offended. In case you don't know MIgs or whatever name he calls himself he is probably the most loathed & hated poster anywhere posting on the CFL universe. I'd say he is a POS but it has redeeming qualities because it is expelled fecal material. Migs isn't even that. Wide Right & Ripper, you'll find that I'm not a bad guy here & neither are most others if you are posting & respect our team or don't play the Prider routine constantly. I'm more than willing to give you guys a chance. I welcome you & other CFL fans here if they give good takes. It may not seem like it after what I said above but I do. But, please remember that this is a Bomber forum & the Riders are a huge rival so your team will take shots from time to time.More than any other team. It's how you handle it that will determine if you stay here long term or not. Anyway you say you're not Migs so I believe you.

Saw on twitter a few minutes ago that Cam Chancellor was injured in practice Friday & is wearing a knee brace. And we know Richard Sherman is favouring his left shoulder or arm & isn't a hundred percent. The Legion Of Boom secondary is hurting. That may play a huge factor in today's game.
-
Just as an aside, Bill Polian going into the 2015 class at the Pro Football Hall Of Fame this July really got his start with the Bombers when he was hired by then GM Paul Robson to be a scout & work in Player Personnel for the team in 1983.

Always talked about his beloved Bombay gin. And more than once he posted & got in trouble when he was looped. I always knew when he hit the sauce.

ABTP. I'll let you guys stew on that trying to figure it out.

Eric Rogers looks like a stud. Ottawa CUT Rogers!! Do you believe that? Way to go Desjardins & Campbell. Nice job. Well done considering their receiving corps absolutely sucked last season. (Slow clapping of hands by smirking CFL fans of other teams). Have to wonder how other teams missed this guy as well & yet the best team in the CFL picked him up. Led to the ultimate trade of Mo Price to the redblacks. -
Defense wins championships & does Seattle ever have a defense. Can't win if you can't score. I predict that unit will come up huge today.

I love both games. I have 3 NFL teams (Niners, Hawks & Packers) I like & then the Bombers number one & Stamps distant number 2 in that order. or to put it another way, I was happy the Stamps won as they had a great season & deserved the GC win but if the Bombers won the GC, wow... I'd book off sick from work for 3 days. I'd be ultra excited.

Have you ever looked up the word cheat in the dictionary? Just wondering. What are the Riders doing that is not public information? You keep references a decade ago: are the riders secretly paying double or triple the payroll that the bombers are? Do you have any facts to back up your argument or are you just howling at the moon. If you want to discuss it, I'm all ears, if you just want to bash the riders go ahead its your site. C'mon man.... You actually serious? You must live under a rock with a comment like that. On at least 3 different occasions the Riders were over the salary cap since it was implemented. Your team cheats & is a repeat offender. No other team does this. As far as it being out in the open??? Well sure, but the info comes out in April the following year so the season the Riders cheated in is over & done with. Maybe an audit should be done twice a year like in June when the roster is set before the first regular season game & again in October just before the playoffs so we really know who is cheating & who isn't. Like I said, then severe penalties can be given to executives of teams who cheat... Like a hefty team fine, personal fines to those involved as well as losing players off the Neg List. Or even draft picks.

Ritch took great delight in making the lives of every Mod on every CFL board miserable. It was all in good fun to him. I agree with everyone that he was the all time greatest CFL poster we ever saw & the events leading up to his death was so senseless & tragic. RIP 3rd Down.
-
In the AFC, the Pats never faced a defense like the Seahawks. Hawks will win.
-
I don't have any link but on another CFL site they're saying that Ritch Dowrey better known as 3rd Down passed away. Ritch was a prolific poster on different CFL boards who loved his BC Lions first & CFL second. He went by the name "3rd Down" but also called himself "turd down" or simply "turd" at times. Ritch was attacked in a bar in Vancouver in 2009 suffering a severe brain injury & was silenced forever on all the CFL boards he was on. The thing I will remember the most about Ritch on the internet was his absolute zeal making Mods lives miserable on every site he was on. He loved getting under their skin. He & I used to go at it but we were friends on different sites & used to chat a lot. I am truly saddened to hear he has died.

That's what all Rider fans say. If they go over the cap just pay the fine so who cares? Yet, a decade ago the same Rider fans were crying the blues accusing other teams of spending too much & they couldn't compete so the SMS was brought in. Now, the perennial cheaters just pay the fine & it's alright. What a joke.

Every team has players who make big bucks. Up until a couple days ago nobody had a clue that Getzlaf had a big contract, it's not a stretch to come to the conclusion that many other players across the league are paid top dollar like that without public knowledge. Riders have a history of abusing & ignoring the cap. They are repeat offenders. They're the one organization I wouldn't trust in certain situations to cheat to keep certain players. I have zero respect for the Riders because of it. Instead of just paying a fine which is so easy I'd like to see them lose draft picks & neg list players. Maybe fine & suspend executives of that team. That'll get the message across.

When Taman was here he believed in his first offer also being his best offer, presumably to "wow" the player and get him to sign before the money goes to someone else and the offer is pulled. Why do you think Heenan hasn't already seen Taman's best offer and passed? How do you know what Heenan has or hasn't seen? Heenan is concentrating on NFL right now. If ifs & buts were candy & nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas, WR.

There is no way we get Heenan. We would have to GROSSLY overpay for SK to let him go -- he's a local boy, old man is a Riderdouche, blah blah.He wants to go to the NFL. Or play in SK. I would like to say take a huge run at him to get SK to burn a bunch of cap money to keep him, but they dont follow the cap anyway so whats the point? I love the CFL and defend it up and down. But the way the cap is treated makes me think it needs a serious cleansing So we grossly overpay. It's not like the Bombers are up against the cap like the Riders. I don't know about you but I'm tired of seeing our qbs being used for punching bags by other teams defensive linemen in the league. I don't care what they pay the guy to sign him. Just sign him.How do you know the Riders are up against the cap when you don't have access to salaries? Taman said he will be aggressive on the 10th.1. Getzlaff reported salary $225,0002. Dressler reported salary $200,000 3. Watson reported salary $120,000 4. Labatte reported salary $200,000 5. Durant reportedly makes between $300,000 and $400,000. That's five players making 1.05 and 1.15 million on a salary cap of 5 million. I didn't include Dressler's reported $200,000 bonus so 1.1 million to 1.35 million for 5 players. 20-27% of your cap tied up in five players. I didn't include NI vet starters like Emery and Best either. Can Taman afford to add $200,000-$250,000 for Heenan. Say you're adding $250,000 for Heenan. That could be 1.6 million tied up in 6 players or a third of your cap. When you have top players you have to pay them accordingly, you will see this when Willy's contract comes up after this season. Mtl finds a way to pay Cox, Green, Bourke, Bowman, Perrett, Stamps, Brown, etc top dollar, why can't the Riders? Because they're already paying other players big bucks. But it's just a salary cap. The Riders can cheat, no biggie, right Rider fans?

The defense will win this game for the Hawks. New England is a very good team but Brady & His Boys never faced a defense like that anywhere in the NFC. The Hawks defense does just enough to win.

I wasn't aware out west they have physiotherapists with magical skills that the ones in Winnipeg don't have.... " Let me give you this blue little pill. All your troubles will vanish."

[Blue Bomber Talk] Early thoughts on 2015 CFL Draft
iso_55 replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Heenan off the table? Check this out.... Taman boldly says he won't lose him to another CFL team but then at the end the actual truth comes out when he says Heenan is a hard guy to read & has no idea what is going to happen in 10 days. Taman may sign Heenan but as of yesterday he didn't sound too confident. Interesting to see that Brendan must've rolled out of bed a half hour before & didn't shave or shower for that presser. http://www.thestarphoenix.com/news/battle+Heenan/10775146/story.html -
Notice when he got cut from the Argos no one picked him up? His skills finally sank below the level of his mouth. Burned his bridges.

Size means nothing? He towered over Rome. He probably never thought Everett would attack him on television so he acted all tough. I don't mind Jim Rome but he can be a dirt bag when he wants to be.
-
Everett was 235 lbs & 6'5. He'd have made Romey squeal for his Mommy if he hadn't turtled. I think that put an end to that. But it made Rome famous.

Here's another gem from the 60's & how naive society was back then. This affected me personally although so far no long term physical effects. The CIty back then used to fog for mosquitos just like today but I'm sure what they used was different than the Malathion of today. When the fogging truck used to do the neighbourhood we kids on our bikes would follow the fogging truck & play in the "fog". It was cool we thought. We did that for hours exposing ourselves to nasty chemicals not knowing how harmful they were. Our parents didn't know, we didn't know... No one knew. We used to look forward to the fogging trucks because we thought it was fun to disappear in that fog. That was 50 years ago so I'm thinking I was lucky I had no long term respiratory effects. But to think kids in neighbourhoods all over Winnipeg played in that killer fog on numerous occasions over the years & no one said anything, well...
