  1. They all cheat -- so in that respect, "cheating" isn't really cheating, it's keeping up! That's the sad fact but Lewis was looked on in America as a superstar & a hero. It's really too bad he was never caught.
  2. Sad fact is Carl Lewis cheated. Difference was he was never caught & Johnson was.
  3. Someone who has no clue who Stubler or Hall or anyone and who gets all of their info via TSN / CJOB / Sun / Free Press .... If that's average...
  4. A year later he was racing thoroughbred horses for money.
  5. Someone define "Average Fan"...
  6. Who cares about average fans? There are no average fans here at this site. Most average fans know what a football looks like but couldn't tell you much about football as they really don't even care. Average fans support the team when they win & ignore it when they lose. Or they jump on the bandwagon when the Bombers win a few & jump off spraining their ankles when they lose. It's not average fans who support the team financially. It's true fans that'll drop season ticket money on the Bombers, sit thru bad weather rather than stay home watching on TSN HD & follow the team passionately.
  7. That seems to be the MO of this team compared to other teams. The wheels turn very s-l-o-w-l-y. I have no idea why.
  8. I'm surprised by this. I thought he would get some interest from teams around the league. I really didn't see him resigning in CGY. He is a Land Man for an oil company. He has a very well paying job & he's a native Calgarian so he'd have to give that up if he moved. he has it pretty good career wise in business & sports. What's a Land Man? Someone who negotiates on behalf of the oil company he/she works for regarding mineral rights with land owners, negotiating exploration deals, determining who would own these minerals by doing research with public & private records, determining land title status during negotiations for an oil & gas company as well as assessing the legal risks on behalf of his employer.
  9. Willy's our starter. He'll be there until he shows he can't play well enough to stay there. If we are able to significantly upgrade our OL he'll have a much better year in 2015.

  11. If I'm Walters, I'll make a run for McDougall. We don't know how good Keenan McDougall can be as he has spent most of his time on the IR in Calgary. He doesn't have a lot of playing experience. I don't think he's ever started at safety for the Stampeders. Just been a depth player.
  12. Is it wrong to hope he ends up with that kind of record in Saskatchewan? It's expected.
  13. New England was just outside the bottom third in the league when it came to running the ball this season. Team average of 3.9 yards per carry isn't considered a "good run game" in any sense of term .. It is when you have four downs.
  14. And then we get a call in the CFL like last week in Dallas & a team loses a championship & we donèt have replay anymore. No, the PI review needs to be tweaked not eliminated because of calls like we saw in the NFL that are unreviewable. The CFL needs no Rod Black & a way to get the refs out of taking over games by being flag happy.
  15. It was pretty emotional watching that wonderful tribute to Selanne. Thumbs up to the Ducks for doing it right & including the Jets in the ceremony. And man, those retro jerseys looked beautiful. That was a nice touch by Jets ownership. What a classy guy Teemu is & always was. It sure would be nice to retire #13 at the MTS Centre.
  16. There aren't many DC positions available in the CFL for Ritchie to go to. Looks like Mark Washington is staying in BC. Glad with this signing, Hall is a quality DC & a nice guy. I agree with Doug Brown that we have some interesting pieces in place on defense. With a good coach & system in place the guys will do well. I'm a lot more encouraged for the upcoming season than I was when ETch was here.
  17. I like both games. But there were lots of bad games & duds in the CFL last season. I think the CFL is on a downward turn excitement wise as well. But the CFL is still a great game.
  18. Can you see Manziel in Hamilton? Steel town, lunch bucket, tough, hard working fans...Wouldn't be a great fit for him.
  19. 0% chance that would be enough. McDavid is going to be a franchise player. You don't hand those guys over for a 2nd liner and a 10-20 pick. The last time a "generational" prospect was traded was LIndros. Philly had to give up a tonne (Peter Forsberg, Steve Duschene, Kerry Huffman, Mike Ricci, Ron Hextall, Chris Simon, Philly’s first-round pick in 1993 and 1994, and $15 million in cash) to get him. McDavid is the at the level Lindros was coming out of Junior and will also demand a huge return. Imagine if he did what Lindros did & said he didn't want the Oilers to draft him? Can't see that happening in today's NHL.
  20. This was posted at the other site by GCn15: Thanks Jacquie.
  21. huh? Ohio is OSU ... Oregon Ducks.... The last sentence should have given it away even if I made a typo. Oregon, Oregon State... they all look the same to me. BTW, if you travel to Oregon & happen to visit Corvallis where the Beavers campus is located they do go by OSU as well. As does Oklahoma State.
  22. Was that a reported story? if so, can you share the link?
  23. Gotta wonder how Wally can treat a guy he's known for so long like that? Like he just threw him out & doesn't care.
  24. What.. No other parade to rain on today? My word. Be he speaks the truth brosephUh.. No.. Not really.. When the media prints a quote like "expect a decision on the DC being hall or benevides in 48 hrs.." Leads me to believe that both are interested... Both want the job and both are waiting to see who get it.Not, both are balking, neither are gonna be bombers and the sky is falling yet again, oh noes! All I said was that until it's official I won't be jumping to conclusions because of what happened with our DC last off season. Stubler coming here was supposedly a done deal as well. Then he showed up in Calgary & Huff was grinning like a Cheshire Cat as he knew he stole him away from the Bombers. If you think that's being negative well then so be it. I was just being realistic. I swear, this place gets more like Riderfans everyday. Probably one will sign here but I'm just saying things can change, that's all. I can't believe I have to explain to justify what I said. You wanna dispute what he said? Go ahead, I didn't agree with it either. But keep your BS about it affecting the credibility of the website to yourself. You think this place is so bad, nobody is forcing you to be here. So Mike, do you actually somehow believe that I don't want Benevides or Hall here? That saying that until an official announcement comes down means I want them to go to the Riders??? If that's the case then what a bunch of malarkey as that's not true. So then, just what exactly is your beef with me about now? You've always have a beef with me about something going back to Our Bombers so I just try to ignore you. Today you're pissed because I said this place is becoming more like Riderfans. Tomorrow it'll be something else you won't like. The day after that something else, etc. Notice I don't engage in many discussions with you. Why would I? It's not worth it to me as I have no desire to ever talk to you about anything. I don't think you want to talk to me either so the feeling's mutual. Maybe we should just keep it that way.
