Just an aside but here's what's going on in Alberta politics at the moment regarding Gay Straight Alliances in schools. Society is changing. I won't debate the merits of that change. Like I said previously, I don't support a gay lifestyle but I don't believe in criticizing or bullying someone who does. Kids that are gay should feel safe in their own schools. Same with gay pro football players feeling safe in their workplace. We have gay football players & we have gay students anyway so I believe that we should let them live their lives the way they want to. I think that MOS is on borrowed time. The clock is running. I was happy with his hiring last December but as this past season went on & now an apparent power struggle going on I don't have a lot of confidence that he was the right hire despite all the rosy comments here by just about everyone. If he brings back our coordinators...

Trouble is, we need more than just one FA player on that OL. We need three at least that can play & play well. We can afford one with the big bucks but not two I don't believe. Still though, signing one impact OL is better than none. This is going to be a huge off season for the Miller/Walters/MOS regime. If they don't come through with a playoff berth next year they'll feel the heat.

Why is this such a big deal? If Micheal Sam can play football & play well then why wouldn't he be welcomed by fans & players across our league? I get the locker room thing but really there are gay players in pro football now so nothing will have changed other than ONE player (Sam) who came forward & announced he was gay. Yes, there'll be a push back from groups & individuals who think homosexuality will lead to an eventful lake of fire after we pass on. But you won't change their minds anyway. They all have to die off & take their prejudices to the grave with them one by one. In 20 years society's take on things will be different. I don't get Atomics's "Slippery Slope" comments as gays already are in NFL & CFL locker rooms. If Sam was taken off the Als Neg List then the Bombers should add him IMO. If he keeps his sex life out of the locker room then who cares? This is a huge non starter for me. I don't agree with homosexuality or the homosexual lifestyle but at the same time I don't think it's anyone's place to deny employment to anyone because of sexual orientation.

You should be hoping for a low scoring game as the longer you stay in it the better chance you have to win. If it's high scoring then Calgary will win.

Stamps can still play. It's Derek McAdoo the OC who has effectively taken him out of the passing game for some strange reason. Stamps may only have a couple of years left but he would bring a ton of leadership to our receiving corps. Price brings a so so attitude, dropsies & fumbles especially when the weather gets cold. No leadership at all.

Because it's the CFL. Even a former player like Garcia thinks he can come in cold with no experience & be successful. I like Jeff but it's the height of arrogance that he thinks he can be a better coach than some of the guys who put in the time & sacrificed to learn. Slap in the face to them if he does get hired. .

Does this mean that BC Lions are in trouble for announcing about Benevides than? I think that blackout is the week leading up to the Grey Cup, so they should be fine Well, we've had 3 weeks to sort out our coordinators & haven't made any kind of an announcement either way.
