In this case, Lawless is absolutely right. Turn up heat on MOS & the Bombers. That's fine with me. Something has to be done.

Everybody who is a CFL fan & especially a Bomber fan knew this scenario with Etch's defenses would happen. If MOS sticks with the guy it'll be the beginning of the end for him as a HC. The optics of keeping the worst DC in the CFL around for another season is bad optics for a Bomber team that needs to sell positivity to the fanbase. We don't need a stubborn HC. We need a HC who will do what is necessary to win & make the tough decisions. Etch has to go. There, I just summarized Lawless's article...

Good news. Had him blocked from day one, so haven't missed him one bit. He would have been insufferable.

Don't forget our own Winnipeg Jets for 2 seasons from 1979-81. Our second season as I recall was actually was actually worse than our first. But we got Dave Babych & Dale Hawerchuk out of it. John Ferguson did a great job drafting for the future...

If MOS does that then he has one foot out the door already on the way to being canned. That would be a mistake. But he's stubborn so I wouldn't be surprised.Stubborn seem to be MOS's biggest weakness I agree 100%. If O'Shea brings back Etch that's a huge concern with his judgement. Based on Walters comments I suspect he'll have some influence on the decision. Dollars to donuts our coaches stay. Where else can they go? MB maybe somewhere else but Etch? Who would hire him as a DC?

Stamps fans are extremely nervous. Talk around Calgary is that 15-3 is a great record but they have to convert it into a GC championship or it's nothing. Fans here are tired of seeing the yearly choke job in the playoffs or GC like what happened in 2012 vs the Argos.

The Riders had the easy road to the GC last year. A beat up Stamps team that usually chokes in the playoffs especially at home & then a weak Ti Cats team. It was almost a joke.

So once again the Riders are the beneficiaries of another team's injuries... Just like last year when the Stamps didn't have Nik Lewis, DTs Corderro Law & Demonte Bolden as well as WR Marquay McDaniel. Bet Durant plays. Nicholls played like crap last Sunday.
