Burris is not coming to Riders. The only people suggesting this are a couple imbecile journalists & a few drunk fans. But the fact fans are royally flip flopping on such a central and traditional concept of hating Burris and actually entertaining the idea of him returning. What do you expect from a bunch of bandwagon jumpers? The whole hate for Burris is stupid anyway, it's long past time they got over it. It was like 10 years ago he went to Calgary. Bandwagon jumpers? Riders attendance has stayed pretty consistent since Mosaic was expanded. What was attendance at IGF last night? Better than what six out of nine teams draw every game. So what was the attendance when the Riders had a shitty team in the Al Ford era??? Ten thousand??

The only people suggesting this are a couple imbecile journalists & a few drunk fans. But the fact fans are royally flip flopping on such a central and traditional concept of hating Burris and actually entertaining the idea of him returning.Unless all fans share the same opinions all the time then your theory makes no sense. Some fans like Burris, some don't. Your fanbase's treatment of the guy is schizophrenic to say the very least & disgusting at the worst. Rider fans been on him since he left in 2005. To deny that means you are a liar.Truth was, Shivers & Barrett wanted Nealon Greene as their starter & expected Hank to sign for less. He didn't & left. Then Shivers made the guy out to be a traitor & Rider fans bought in en masse. "Oh he promised he'd stay. He said so. Now we hate him". What a bunch of bogus BS. I'd hope if Hank did have a chance to go back to the Riders to help them win again, he gives the entire Saskatchewan Roughrider fanbase the middle finger salute & says eff off as you guys would deserve it.

No offense but how would you know? There's lots of us can remember exactly how it went down. Calgary wanted to make a big splash and sign a big name qb to wash the stink of the Feterik era off the team and they paid Burris a ton and gave him the starting job outright. Riders offered him nice money but they were keeping Greene around and wanted competition at the position. Burris doesn't like competition and he likes gettin' paid so he went to Calgary. Why should I be surprised that Calgary completely overpaid a player . They seem to be the Ottawa of the west. When was the last time the Stamps were over the cap? Please provide details to back up your statement. How about YOUR team? Hmmm, it was LAST YEAR. Not the first time either. Rider fans should be the last to accuse other teams of being over the cap. Cheaters gonna cheat.

As long as he holds players accountable in that locker room. -

The Riders signed Nealon Greene first & immediately named him their starter. When FA came Hank knew that Greene would be starting & went to Calgary. That was both a Roy Shivers & a Danny Barrett decision. The Priders for some stupid reason blamed hank when it was those 2 who forced him out. Shivers knew he screwed up & started blaming Hank for leaving. All Rasta Roy was doing was covering his ass for making a mistake.

Guys can either long snap or they can't. It's a skill that takes years to perfect to play at the pro level. Randy Chevrier is a very good long snapper specialist sitting on the Stamps PR. He's 35 & his days as a player are slipping away. I can't believe he wouldn't want to get back on the field & would rather be a PR for the Stamps.

I think our offense until the last 6 or 7 games kept us in games. We were giving up copious amounts of yards on the ground & still winning because we were scoring points. Once we stopped scoring our defense didn't do well. Those games against the Riders where Messam killed us, remember them? So, to say that our D was keeping us in games early in the season is ridiculous. It was offense winning those games & not defense. Without Gable, the Ti Cat run game isn't anything special. Yeah, I have a bias towards Etch. I think he's lousy.
-
I agree with numbers 2 & 3. I don't think Tracy is good enough but at the same time where the hell is our GM & why didn't he bring in a long snapper? Wild's been gone since August. Etch needs to go. He is a terrible DC & with the restrictions he puts on the type of players he wants up front & his schemes not only are they overmatched size wise but they are vulnerable to the big play & we see it every game now. I thought Creehan was bad as a DC but Etch may be worse.

If Desjardins trades Burris he should be fired. He had Glenn, treated him like royalty when they drafted him. Then like a piece of meat after he signed Hank. Later he traded Glenn to BC for a first round pick in this year's draft. Now he'd trade Hank? Talk about giving up to your fanbase. But at the same time I wouldn't put it past him to actually do something as stupid as that based on his track record as GM in Hamilton where he did a lousy job.

Coaches get pissed off with the media all the time. No big deal. -
Seems to me that the Bombers don't practice this scenario. if they did they'd have been ready for it. Willy couldn't hear? Fans were excited. Asking them or even EXPECTING them to shut up is unrealistic. This never should have happened. Inside the 5 for gosh sake's just call a run on the LOS. Have a signal system along with the play call in the helmet mic.

He was a Wing T quarterback at Iowa & Bud Grant wanted to run the same offense here so Bombers GM at the time Jim Austin was able to convince Ploen to sign with Winnipeg. Especially as he was being looked at by the NFL as strictly a defensive back. The Bombers actually offered Ploen a bit more money than he would have gotten had he signed in the NFL & the chance to play qb so for Ken it was a no brainer. I do not agree with your assessment of Ploen's arm being pathetic. It may have not been a rifle like Sam Etcheverry's, Tobin Rote's or Russ Jackson's arm was back then but it was more than good & accurate enough to get the job done. Hell, if you wanted to see wounded ducks being served up on nearly every pass play, then Joe Kapp in BC was the guy for you. Ken was a cerebral qb who recognized coverages & could always find an open receiver. He had a decent arm, was accurate, mobile & could run when he had to. Ken Ploen was a winner plain & simple. -

I have never seen anything like it. The refs are killing the game & killing the league. Mark Cohon with his phony smile & the rest of the CFL BOG's have to buy a clue. And stop this. -
I don't disagree but that time count was inexcusable and you can't expect to win a game when you score 11 points. You score 11 points when you take 15 penalties for 120 yards. As for the timecount, considering this, what would you have liked him to do...? Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming 4m O'Shea says Willy couldn't hear play call, which lead to timecount violation on second and goal in final seconds. #Bombers They should call the play over the mic in the helmet & also have a signal system so Willy can check & knows the play in a situation like this.
-
Put this on Walters who appears to be satisfied to stand pat.
-
Willy's not the problem. How many holes did we have to fill after last season & how many holes remain?? Lots.

Burris won't help them as he chokes. Besides, why would he agree to come to a team where once DD returns, he'll be a backup? And the Riders can't afford his salary. I'm sure they are nearly or are over the cap now. -

Whatever reason, they have Suseri & we have Willy. I like it just the way it is now. You watch, Durant miraculously will becomes a quick healer & he's back before the end of the regular season. -

I enjoyed the vaunted Riders DL & especially John Chick give up 300 yards on the ground & only getting to Reilly a couple of times. I knew the O would struggle without Durant as Sunseri is vastly overrated by Rider fans. But I think no one expected their defense to be handled the way it was which is why as a Bomber fan the game was so much fun to watch. -
