No, you're wrong Dr CFL. Our offense is better, much better with Willy compared to last year. Some aspects of our special teams aren't very good like long snapping. Others aren't bad like punt & KO returns. Defensively we just out & out suck.

It's not a 2nd round pick. It's a conditional pick; rounds 2-4 depending on games started. Penton said it was something like 6 or less games was a 4th rounder, 9ish games was a 3rd and 12 was a 4th. I'm sure the Bombers will manage Brohm's starts to ensure we give up no more than a 4th rounder. Nice to know, thanks. I still think Austin at least smiled.

The only time Austin laughed since Christmas last year was trading Brohm for a 2nd round pick. Ti Cats office staffers were so shocked they called EMS.

Etch has a wish list of the kind of players he wants. Our DL averages 259 lbs & our linebackers are barely over 200 because Etch wants it that way. So, the scouting staff goes out & finds those types of players. I think Etch can be assessed now based on this & other years defenses he ran. Not good.

Why we gave up a draft pick for an unproven backup qb who has bounced around the NFL & CFL is beyond me.

Brohm heading home? After the injury to Willy & the way he played? That tells me all I need to know. To be a starting qb in the CFL takes sacrifce. And if a player isn't willing to do that, well?? I know it's tough to be away from family but the season ends in less than 2 months & Brohm has 6 months to be with them then. I think that is the wrong decision.

The decision to hire Etcheverry is really coming back to bite us. I swear, I don't know sometimes what that guy is thinking with the sets he throws out in certain situations. He needs to be replaced next season as he's not doing the job. That would really be a step up defensively. We've had 2 crappy DC's here in a row & it shows.

We have to find a player capable of truly becoming a player at qb to back up Willy. Not another team's discards like Brohm. He looked terrible & that play where he just pitched the ball to no one was behind the LOS & it barely, barely rolled out of bounds before a Lions player picked it up as it would have been live. It was a terrible decision & showed that Brohm panicked. Another on the To Do List for Walters, get us a frigging backup qb. This team has more holes than Swiss cheeze.

I got spanked by my dad as well as the strap across my behind plenty of times as a kid. But that was the early to mid 60's & times were indeed different. Back then children were expected to be "seen & not heard". My mom wacked me a few times as well as a young boy when I was being a little shithead & deserved it. I spanked my two sons when they refused to listen, misbehaved or got in trouble. I always used an open hand. But I stopped spanking them when they turned 10 or 11. As a parent, you have to use different strategies for disciplining children nearing their teenage years as spanking doesn't work anymore. Spanking my kids when they were 12 would have been the wrong thing to do. They are 27 & 23 now & they turned out alright. BUT... I only spanked them in "moderation". In other words not as hard as I could have & maybe three smacks tops. Just enough that if they wouldn't listen or got in trouble they'd know what was coming. I'd never use a stick or switch. We used to get compliments from people as to how well behaved our kids were when we were in public. I don't regret doing what I did because I felt it was the right thing to do & so did my wife. Using a switch on a 4 year old? No, that's way over the top. Plus the boy was afraid AP was going to punch him in the face according to the story I read. There were defensive wounds on his hands AND GENITALS. Uh uh, that's too much.

If any team wants to hold occasional closed practices then really so what? If the practices were closed all season then yes, the media & fans would have a right to criticize. But this is a non story except to Paul Wiecek who is the most negative reporter covering the Bombers. He looks for negative things to print.

I may not agree with him because I think what Paul Wiecek wrote was totally stupid but TBurgess has every right to say what he thinks without being insulted. There's a difference between being a troll like Road Griller who says **** to draw attention to himself on every thread or being an actual contributor to this site like TBurgess is. I think some of you need to cut him a bit of slack.

What Wiecek says was totally stupid. What does a closed practice & taxpayers money to build a stadium have to do anything? If we use Paul Wiecek's incredibly twisted logic then season & game day tickets should be free to every taxpayer in Winnipeg because you guys paid for that stadium with your tax dollars. Complaining about closed practices & tying it into publc money? Now I've heard everything.
