The Argos let their best players go on to other opportunities while still under contract. Up until this season they got away with it. Now with some injuries it's catching up to them. This is why you don't play nice & let players try their NFL aspirations until their contractual obligations are fulfilled. They are the only team that does that. I don't know if it's a philosophy of Jim Barker to let players go or if it's David Braley's edict to let these guys go to save some money & maybe even get secretly paid under the table by NFL teams. Whatever the reasons, Toronto is a **** show now.

Logan is a very average running back who like most has the occassional bright spot ... he is on the downside of his career and not nearly anything like he once was He is not capable of carrying the team on his back like harris can and neither is he a dominating player like Cornish He gives the Lions an alternate look ... not much more at least not that I have seen last year or this ... just the odd nice play that any decent back wil give Harris is the main back. Having Logan there to spot him means another player that could help them sits on the bench. I don't get the need to platoon Harris & Logan.

Le Fevour looked terrible against the Stamps but great against Ottawa. Maybe their bad D had something to do with it. Lefevour sure dangled Eric Fraser a couple of times on those screens. There was a reason the Stamps never protected him in the Expansion Draft.

What...put Portis in to take only QB sneaks? Nothing wrong with Marve, it's no push from the O Line Marve has torn his ACL in one of his knees THREE TIMES. I did it once 35 years ago & would have an issue doing qb sneaks even if I lifted weights & was in game shape. The knee is never the same after one surgery. I can't imagine 3 & trying to do that. If Portis is a mobile qb, once he's up to snuff on the playbook, I'd give him a shot. Nothing to lose.

This - people are getting way ahead of themselves. There's lots of "Paredes" and "LIrims' in the NFL - lots of them. Though you never know both could go one day - I do know Lirim would need to be this consistent for about three or four years before the NFL would take serious notice. Paredes hit 92% last season. Liram is at 100% after 5 games. We haven't hit the bad weather games yet come October & November. The other thing, CFL kickers kick off a tee while NFL kickers off the ground. There is a huge difference there. Puts CFL kickers at a huge disadvantage once they want to go to the NFL.

The Stamps haven't lost Rene Paredes to the NFL & he's been the best kicker in the CFL the past 3 seasons. As soon as we have some sunshine, someone always talks about rain.

Reyn Davis was an exceptional hockey writer & I think he also covered curling for the Free Press when curling actually was a big deal in Manitoba. CJOB used to broadcast the Men's Final from the Manitoba Consols as they were called back in the 60's, 70's & early 80's.
