The Euro league is pretty sweet from what I hear. Free accomodations, free cars & salary not too bad.

If I didn't have a birthday party in Brooks, AB to go to Saturday, I'd have driven in for this game. -
Zach Collaros has concussion and back injury

Interesting thought. The actually fundamentals of form tackling are changing to chest plate tackling, safe contact which is going to take some time, some commitment/buy-in and some tweaking before it works itself up to the professional leagues. Getting back to the changes in rules concerning tackling I've seen the NHL implement some pretty drastic rule changes one season to the next and they usually use the "zebras" to carry out their dirty work. The players may b*tch and moan about the changes but within the first 10 games they get the hang of it. Difference is the NHL has 6 months & 84 games to rectify things. The CFL doesn't. -
Never understood why any Canadian, American & Euro other than a Russian would want to play in the KHL. I guess the $$ are still too good to pass up.

Even funnier was Mike Benevides behaviour in Sask. He was going coo coo for cocoa puffs on the sidelines. Looked like Wally might have threatened to put out a hit on him if he didn't come up with a Lion victory real soon. He was a little crazy. He & Khari got into it face to face. Then he just suddenly bolted away from KJ & onto the field screaming. The pressure is getting to him.

OMG, serious?? So you have 3 starting calibre NI's in Watson, JFG and Kohlert. Not game changing players, but starter quality NI receivers. And you have an OL that has been deficient for a number of years. Watman shores up a guard position for you immediately, and could be our ticket to no Morley by year's end. Etienne is signed to backup the 2 NI starting receivers; and at least has some upside to him. How is that terrible? Apparently Morley is no longer the problem many on here imagined he was. So, get rid of Steve Morley who's playing well at centre for us & bring back Jade Etienne a failure at receiver. Great suggestions on this thread. If you're referring to my comment you misunderstood. To re-state Morley is no longer considered a problem. Bob Wylie says so. Not your comments but Armchair GM's.

No worries, there won't be a CFL by then. The injury lawyers & the courts will take care of that. -
Please don't ever say that.... Why? He was one of the best short yardage guys I've ever seen on the field. He may have been a crappy QB, but you can't ignore that he was fantastic at short yardage. The 2 guys we have are **** at it. Then the starter gets hurt & he has to start. Which means he has to read a defense & throw the football. His true future is more Snickers commercials.

Tackling isn't as good as you like it because of the non contact in practices we have now & only 1 practice a week in full pads. Back in the day, even CFL players practiced tackling drills everyday. Now they don't & they get sloppy & develop bad habits. Expect to see a lot more of it. I talked to former Stamps safety Greg Peterson who played with Calgary from 1982-91 & he said they were always practicing their tackling when he played. Bringing this back to Collaros injury, my thought is if they penalize the high impact style of tackling the players will have to resort back to better tackling techniques of old. The penalty chould be called "tackling with no arms". In the end it's about protecting the QB and reducing brain injuries which should be a high priority for the CFL, It only takes one group lawsuit by retired players who sustained brain injuries and they could be out of business. Your last sentence are bang on & why I clicked "Like". All it's going to take to put the CFL out of business is a big, big lawsuit. If that happens then all the fans that say we might as well play touch football will be watching touch football because the CFL will be finished. Wasn't there a $95 million dollar out of court settlement for a group of former players with concussions who sued the NFL. -
Chad Johnson just can't help himself ...

Johnson's behaviour has been stellar. So he said no to Bob. It's his right. Non story, -

I don't care how good an offensive line is, at some point a qb will be exposed to a big hit. If the CFL won't protect qbs at risk & vulnerable then what's that say about the so called rules we have to protect them? Of course, this is the CFL we're talking about & as we have seen, the officiating has been absolutely stellar this season. -

he has the bigger contract so yeah, I'd say. Somehow I don't think Massoli will. -
Ford will never see the field in Calgary so good move on his part.

I think Nate... ah forget it.

Wonder if Jermese Jones would consider a comeback:? Or convert retired Doug Brown DT to retired Doug Brown OG? Nate, I'm your biggest supporter here. I'll have your back against some of the haters here but seriously your act is wearing a little thin. Come on. Have a take but don't suck. I was actually trying to get in on the joke against me, Al...didn't you notice the emoticons? Nate, it's not so much this comment but the other stuff you say. I can't support you vs others here who criticize you when you say some of the things you do. How can I even though I want to?
-
Forget the all star verdict as Ford is an average running back at best. I have no idea why Chamblin & Cortez are doing what they're doing. And I don't really care.

Now, you want a guy brought back who should be playing senior men's to back up a receiver position? Etienne had his chance & couldn't do it with 2 teams. No thanks.

Hell I would take out Denmark and roll with 3 Canadian receivers. We are already using Kohlert and JFG well enough, the question is can Watson be a bigger impact than Denmark and I say yes he can. When he plays which isn't often.
