If they did not play the way they did. We do not win the game. And I know 95% of BB fans agree. Grimsby didn't block. It's going to kill us if he doesn't start. And there were 11 other guys on the field at that any given time that contributed to that win, not just a couple.

Sure, Grigsby whiffing on block after block after block. Looking like he's not even trying. What game were you watching? Running backs have to do four things well: 1. Run with the ball, 2. Block for his qb or other players. 3. Catch out of the backfield. 4. Hold onto the football. Being good at three out of 4 isn't good enough. This is pro football, not high school. And Bluto as well as Mike pointed out that Cory Boyd was the CFL leading rusher in 2011 & out of football the next because he either couldn't or refused to block.

Hank is the kind of player who can drive a fan crazy at times, yes. But the guy is a team player & he did a great job with the system he was in & the players he had around him. Austin just strikes me as a coach who thinks he could do better if he could still play. Those kind of coaches are difficult to play for because they're always unhappy & the qbs they have are never good enough..

To me, the deep ball worked for us because the redblacks have the worst starting safety in the CFL. I said he was a liability on the long ball as Eric Fraser can't cover the ground to help out & he didn't disappoint me. He gets sucked in a lot.

I have no idea why Austin didn't like Hank. He got Kent & his team to the Grey Cup when the Argos were the better team. Burris did everything he was asked to do as a Ti Cat. You could tell all last season Austin didn't think much of him as a qb. Now, he's got a shell shocked inexperienced qb playing for him & it looks like he doesn't like him, either. Austin looks to be one of these hard ass coaches to play for. Good luck.

You just don't become a great blocking back in a week. It's a total committment to unselfishness & hard work. It takes courage to step into a charging linebacker or D End to protect the qb. Grigsby has to work on his blocking skills everyday in practice in order to become the blocker he needs to be. It should be something Grigsby should take pride in.

I don't agree with hardest working as he stood & watched most of the blocks he tried to throw. He can really run but he's an incomplete back right now. His blocking has to really improve if he is going to last as a long term starting back for us.

How is it any better having the stadium at Assiniboia Downs for people other than those living on the west side of the city? Both locations (University where IGF is located or potentially at the Downs would have had their problems. At least Polo Park was somewhat centralized with very good bus service in & out. Lots of parking as well. Getting to & from the stadium by car wasn't too bad either.

Why would he pay his way back? If the Bombers wanted him they'd pay for a ticket.

Thursdays are great nights. Funny how the same people will willingly go to a Jets game at 8 pm on a Monday night but ***** about evening CFL games during the week.

Fraser is a liability at safety sometimes. He started in Calgary but moreso because of the ratio & where Huff wanted to play his Nationals. Fraser can't seem to get over at times to make the plays he needs to. Hopefully we can take advantage of that & go over the top on their secondary a few times.

Well, I don't think that's the players fault. It's Cheveldayoff for signing an older player. I think the guy really gave it his best, especially last season. We gave away a second round pick in the Setoguchi trade, that's on Kevin as well. Yet, he won't get involved in going after key free agents preaching patience & fiscal restraint. Poor advice to the fans after those 2 moves & the payouts on contracts like that. At least Olli justified his salary last season but Setoguchi is a wash out. You don't think he tries on high profile free agents? Rumour is we offered more then what Statsny signed for. The Jets are a small market and a perennial non playoff team. Tough sell to bring the high profile free agents in. It is a two way dialog. Just because we want them doesn't mean they will come here. I remember a time when Winnipeg was a destination.
