  1. Hank does not like being hit. If he gets pressured & hit he becomes the "Deer In The Headlines QB" & starts making bad decisions. If we give him time & he gets into a rhythm our defense will be in trouble.
  2. No, Nate. Don't agree. I wouldn't trade Watson & a second or third rounder for Chip Cox. Our Canadian strength has to be built up. We can't afford to trade any draft picks now.
  3. More like Jack Jacobs.
  4. If he has to endure the glares and screaming in his ear hole every game from Austin he may not even make it that long, he'll just quit. Collaros won't quit but yeah, playing for Austin looks like so much fun. He screamed at Hank. He screamed at Collaros. He'd scream at Ricky Ray for cryin' out loud.
  5. Just gonna say that a short training camp & exhibition season gave us some really bad games this past weekend. The Argos, Als & Ticats looked totally unprepared for their games. Not good trying to sell the games to the casual fans watching on TSN. .
  6. Higgins is a very good coach but if you have a wannabee head coach GM like Popp who meddles then there is a big problem. I bet it was Higgins who wanted Worman gone probably a philosophical difference. Wonder if Crowton is available??? If Higgins wanted Worman gone, then why was it Popp & not Tom talking to the media?: Higgins isn't the kind of guy to hide behind Jim Popp or not address the media if the decision was his. He was a straight up guy here in Calgary when he was HC of the Stamps.
  7. Anywhere would have under 20K with this kind of weather. The weather was brutal in Regina but your fanbase sets itself up for that kind of criticism. So, expect to get it.
  8. What a nice weekend in Calgary. We had our flood last year.
  9. I was just surprised either of you gave a crap. This may take a while... I don't care as I never raised the issue first as to where Crapigna is. All I know he's on the Stamps suspended list but going back to play another year of CIS as a kicker. Looks like the suspended list can be used to develop, hide or protect all kinds of players in different situations & circumstances which I don't think is right. If a guy can't make a team then he should be released outright. Are the Stamps paying him to play university football?
  10. He did nothing to breach his contract so why would should Banks be forced to give his signing bonus back? The original reports that he went home on his own would have been a breach of his contract. That's why I thought that. Apparently that's not what happened though. Fair enough.
  11. But, but... he told them to have fun before the game yesterday.

  14. Talk about a crappy argument. No kidding, talk about bitching about nothing.
  15. Crapigna is not listed in the Stamps' list of players who were released. Crapigna is not listed in the Stamps' list of players who were released. He is on their suspended list . Check again. I know he's on the suspended list. You're the one who said he was cut. Players who are cut don't go on the suspended list. Wow, he WAS cut & then placed on the suspended list. Go get a life. Quit acting like a know it all grade one school teacher who nitpicks everything.
  16. Typical TSN. Couldn't they give their sideline guy an umbrella?? Mickey Mouse. They have such a good panel in the studio then cheapen the broadcast with guys like Rod Black doing pbp & expect their sideline reporter to perform like a professional in a monsoon. It just makes no sense. We could hear water hitting mics all game. If those were sideline mics why wouldn't they turn them down. Just weird production. They go to the sideline guy and his mic is dead. They didn't test it? Having Rod Black makes no sense either as he is despised by just about everyone yet, there he is...
  17. Popp fired Rick Worman for whatever reason & dumped everything on Dinwiddie's lap which is unfair as I'm sure he was unprepared. Popp really wants to be the HC of that team & I think that he is the "De Facto" head coach undermining Tom Higgins. To me, it's becoming apparent that the only way to give stability & order to the Als is to fire Jim Popp.
  18. No he wouldn't have. Compare how long Collaros hangs on to the ball versus Willy. It's night and day. Yes Willy would have struggled, but his ability to get rid of the ball as quick as he does would have masked the issues Hamilton has up front to a degree. The Argos were blitzing all game & Willy killed them as he got rid of the ball quickly.

  20. One thing, with his height Collaros is not a pocket passer. Like you say, he needs to move around to be successful like Doug Flutie. Let his athletic ability take over & make plays. That's what he did in Toronto last year. And did you notice Austin ragging on the guy? There are times when a head coach should back off. Today was one of those days. How yelling at Collaros will give him confidence is beyond me. I just remember Austin always unhappy with Hank & he put up big number for him but Austin was never satisfied. If I was a coach, I'd be yelling at my OL for playing like a bunch of overpaid pylons the entire game.

  22. Collaros always had issues with his mechanics but he always made up for it with his legs & imagination. The Riders & the weather took that away from Zackthis afternoon. When Collaros throws he has a big windup. He brings the ball down & back up in a circular motion so the release is much slower. Also, when qbs do that they have different release points on every throw. Sometimes it'll be high, sometimes low which affects accuracy because the release point is never the same. Certainly his release is slower than Willy's. I'll give Collaros a bit of a pass because of a wet ball today but he showed a lack of arm strength on that late pick in the end zone. It looked like the same play twice in a row. The first pass was behind the receiver in the end zone & like Peter King said, Austin should have thrown the challenge flag for PI. The next throw a play later was badly underthrown & intercepted.
  23. I think Montreal has way more problems than Hamilton. The team couldn't or wouldn't adjust to the weather conditions & I refuse to believe that their OL was THAT BAD. I think most of those sacks are on Collaros for not getting rid of the ball quicker. He look terrified out there. Almost a deer in the headlights reaction to his first start with his new team. Troy Smith was horrible with just the wind to contend with at McMahon Stadium on Saturday. But I think Hamilton is still the better team.
  24. Yeah, that Bauman signing by Huff was a head scratcher as the guy was a bust on every team he played. That was a six figure loss, by the way. I heard he was paid $120,000 a year by the Stamps so the 2 seasons of nothing that Bauman contributed cost the team over a cool quarter mill. Huff then drafted center Brent Jones & rookie left guard Brander Craighead last season who are now both starting on the offensive line for Calgary. The talk is Craighead could be another Dmitri Tsoumpas. Craighead was an NCAA OL so he had another year of eligibility in college when he was drafted so he came to training camp for the first time this season. The only true first round bust that Huff ever had was DT Ameet "My Motor Never Stops" Pall selected in 2012. He never played a single down for the Stamps. Got injured in training camp, refused to go on the PR after the injury & was picked up by the Als where he contributed very little as well in 2012. I think he's out of the CFL now. So, this stuff happens to the best of them. Huff's draft record is rock solid otherwise.
  25. Agreed. I'd rather have a GM like Kyle Walters that's proactive than a guy like Joe Mack who sat on his ass who couldn't sign his own free agents, refused to sign other CFL free agents & went off the board on draft day for guys like Pencer, Etienne & Poblah. In other words, a GM who took up wasted space himself in the Bomber offices, did nothing to improve the team but still loved to cash his paycheques every 2 weeks. So, the Banks signing didn't work out. It's going to happen. Give the man credit for at least trying to shake things up & change the losing culture of the organization.
