Sure. Smilin' Mark actually fine a team? What if Braley & Wettenhall tell him to go shove it?? Which is what I'd think would happen if he tried that.

I think a player's past is fair game if it is public knowledge. I think where the line crossing takes place if someone posts that a player or a coach is having an affair, is abusive at home, does drugs or is an alcoholic based on hearsay. That's the stuff that should never be posted. -

Lawsuits can & do happen.... If any of us think we can hide behind our nicknames anonymously when we're slinging mud at people here here we are sadly mistaken. That isn't the point of this thread but just sayin'. Basically the mods are asking for us to show respect as well as restraint & I'm fine with that. -

Even with the smell, I'd rather eat at Subway then at McDonald's.... Or any other chain fast food burger joint. -

They were spoiled brats all of them. TO's time with every team was fraught with trouble.... -

He'd put fannies in the seats if he did come up here & could still actually play. When the Miami Dolphins were on Hard Knocks 3 years ago the guy had some issues with a crazy wife he had just married a few weeks before. She had him thrown in jail for assault but I don't think he actually did anything. But the Dolphins cut him anyway. She seemed.... no, they both seemed like nutcases. He is a bit of a wingnut but when he practised & played the guy was a complete professional. If he can still go, it would be interesting to see what he could do. -

I've commented that a Subway has a really weird smell to the place. Same everywhere. What is it? I had a 6 inch oven roasted chicken sub for supper tonight. -

You have no idea how much I miss Chicken Delight when all we have in Calgary is Chicken On The Way & KFC. -
The average professional doesn't punish his body like a CFL player does.

Close enough, Dee.

You mean like Etienne?

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif has NFL aspiration and is doing his own pro day. Not Lavertu. Looks like Ottawa will now take Lavertu with the Bombers likely (in my opinion) taking Goossen. Thanks for pointing that out....

Lavertu has NFL aspirations. He could be another Mulamba which we can't afford... He's not even going to the CFL Evaluation Camp. He's having his own Pro Day. That kind of sends alarm bells off for me. Maybe we draft Goosen who is rated Top 5 (I believe) as we need OL badly. This is one time I'm glad we have Walters with the last word on who we draft now.

Yeah, that house was on Osborne Street across from the Dutch Maid restaurant. I like it too. Really great pizza. We used to go there quite a bit but Papa George's was the pizza restaurant we'd hit at 2:30 or 3 in the morning after the bars closed on a Friday or Saturday night. -
Brohm & Hall would fight it out at training camp.

Great Bombers article from Gary Lawless today

You see once again you miss the entire point. I love to argue, the problem is that you started bitching and moaning about the fact that I didn't let you get away with your bullshit so in an effort to ease up I said I'd tone it down as long as you did, but you didn't so now I am wondering why. The problem with comparing your criticism of Mack is that you invent things, when I criticize Lawless it's all the truth and much more about an opinion than pretending it's all fact like you do in regards to Mack. Don't worry, you can't get me worked up because I don't get worked up about this stuff like you do. Have you ever seen me complain about people arguing with me? That's the entire goal here. Settled Down shelly Did you just respond to yourself? Just messin' with his head. -
I was a the BC game & Boltus stunk it up. Really stunk it up. Made me long for the good old days of Justin Goltz.

I wouldn't give up Hall. Muamba, sure. He'll never be a full time starter. A depth player & that's about it so he's expendable. But Desjardins would never take him unless he was wanting to make a play for Henoc if he ever got cut.
-
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that I feel like there's nothing wrong with Barker doing this because it works as a two-way street that way. Players can be cut at the drop of a hat, but they also get the opportunity to leave whenever they want to explore a better opportunity. But players that are contributing don't get cut. The ones that aren't good enough do. It's the same with any job. if you perform at your job & I don't, I get fired. Like I said, I'm all for giving players their release as soon as they have completely fulfilled their contractual obligations. If that is the 1st week of November & the season's over I wouldn't make them wait until Feb 15th. I'll give them 3 additional months to find employment in the NFL. That is more than fair. But not an entire year.
-
He showed a lot of promise but it's too early to say if he's good enough to be an eventual starter. What I liked is the last 3 games of the season he didnot throw an interception & was good at not giving up the football. But we also need to explore other options at qb as well which is what we're doing.

I've been away from Winnipeg for 24 years.... Let's discuss the best pizza restaurants in Winnipeg. There used to be a restaurant that my friends & I would go to after the bars closed down at 2 am back in the 80's as it stayed open until after 4 am & the pizza was great. It was a sit down restaurant. It was (I think) in a renovated house on Osborne St at or near River Avenue. Great pizza.... Anyone remember the name? Is that place still around?? Anyway, tell us your best pizza joint, why & where it is located? And if someone can answer my question, I'd appreciate it.
