It's not lack of patience it's consistently bad hires. In fact, I'd argue we don't fire folks who aren't doing their jobs like Mack soon enough. it is lack of patience. They have fired good people who may not have been great but good people at the first slip up and blown it all up time and time again. How can you build anything doing that? Have to give people more than 2 or 3 seasons to establish a long term foundation and THEN judge where the team is at. Mack, good people? Kelly, good people? Buchko, good people? I'd include Burke in that group even though as a DC he is one of the best but as a HC he is definetly not good people. You're argument is to keep bad people in place making bad decisions just so as to not make a change. Joe Mack got 3 1/2 seasons to do his work & he buried this team. Left out a few names there I see.... Is that because it is harmful to your argument and beneficial to mine? Nope. But these guys were bad enough... They did more than enough damage to send the team back to the CFL Stone Age.

Goltz can be next.

We haven't won a GC since 1990 & it looks like the next one is light years away. I thought the first drought of 22 years (1962-84) was long, well this drought may go on for another decade the way things are going down with this team. Fans have a right to be impatient. Is the Bomber fanbase influencing personnel & coaching decisions? Sure, but that would happen with any team, in any city (in any pro sport) that has as bad an organization as we do. The Bombers themselves, thanks to the BODs with bad management & coaching hires did this to themselves. None of this is on the fans.

Gack. Spit. Green flem.

Austin tried twice to extend his contract and Burris turned him down. ....And now back to the Austin Has No Loyalty Game. Source? Burris said he hadn't heard a peep from Austin all offseason about a contract extension. Jacquie is just too swift for everyone this morning.

Austin isn't overrated but he is a hard ass to play for, it looks like. Do it his way or you're gone.

That's what Wally used to do. When a player he felt was past his usefulness he released him. Like Allen Pitts & Geroy Simon. Almost the entire Stamps team from a period of 2000 to 2002.

Penton: Burris likely headed to Winnipeg?
iso_55 replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
We have to sign Burris first. -
We have one thing going for us, Winnipeg is a lot closer to Calgary than Montreal. Hank has a house & lives in Calgary with his wife & kids. When he retires he says he'll remain there.

No one blames Walters for this, Just goes to show what a **** show our team has become & how others in the CFL view it. Our new coaching staff does nothing to add any confidence that it's going to get better anytime soon. What a mess.
-
If we go into 2013 with Hall as our starter... epic fail & lucky to have 20,000 in the stands. Sellinger becomes GM.
-
Having Hank here (if he signs) will certainly ramp up the Labour Day Sunday game in Regina as well as the Banjo Bowl. Rider fans hate Hank as much as 17 does.
-
Might be a deal breaker there!

Amazing how some coaches become head coaches & they hire their staff in a week. Others like O'Shea, over 2 mths & still not complete. Tells me that Campbell contacted guys before he was hired, went into the meetings with the RedBlacks & told them he already had a staff selected & ready to go.

I fully expect Chris Getzlaff's game to go to pieces like it always does when he has to carry the load at slot now that Dressler is gone.
-
It's one thing to sign a contract. It's quite another to actually make an NFL team. Dressler is a great CFL receiver. I know some little guys like Dressler & Ammendola have changed perceptions that these smaller players can't play in the NFL but the deck is still stacked against him. I'll be shocked if he isn't back in Regina after Labour Day, if not before.

McCown is such a jerk. He hates the CFL now. Before he was a huge booster. I read somewhere that his gigantic ego was offended he wasn't part of the 100th Grey Cup Committee when he expected to be. He also knows that if the Argos are part of MLSE that the team's profile would be raised substantially but he just had to get that insult in.

Buh bye till September.

Rush end? He's a natural safety in Etch's twisted defense.

More like **** Austin.

Yeah, the manhole covers or spriinklers built into the field. Not good.

I think Chevy waited too long to pull the plug on Noel. The Jets are playing better under Maurice but the team dug itself such a hole that it is going to be next to impossible to get a playoff spot. They have to win every game against teams they are supposed to beat & beat teams like Chicago they aren't supposed to beat. Going to be really tough.
