  1. Stala was unemployed for 2 days. Teams still wanted him. We sure undervalue experience here as fans. We ridicule players on other teams yet have overblown expectations for the players on our rosters. It's not talent that's the problem, it's coaching we say. We have guys just waiting for the right coach to bust out & be all stars. Think again...
  2. I think a picture is worth a thousand words knowing Buck's history...
  3. I think Collaros will want the same kind of money Hank gets. He probably will receive it, too.
  4. Funny, I never saw that ... it's a helmet Buck ... I really don't find that a funny picture. That's scary & sad. I worry for Buck's health as well as his family when he's my age in his late 50's. I really wish he'd retire.
  5. We're talking 1% of the cost. For cryin' out loud Sellinger, have your govt write the cheque & be done with it.
  6. I know what the new stadium in Regina should be called. Dickhead Field.
  7. No. God no. why do we need a shorter, possibly slower stoddard? Because we need experienced players. We don't need kiddies (like Etienne) or superstars (which we don't have) at every receiver position. We need guys that understand the league & what it takes to win games. I'm not a big Stala fan but jeez we need his veteran leadership in the locker room in the worst way. We have very little of that on the team. That's why we won 3 games last year.
  8. The guy could help us. We should be one of those 5 teams.
  9. Hank will be back in Hamilton starting. I'm pretty sure that'll happen. Hey, if Austin thinks he can do better with LeFevour (ha, ha) or Willy (inexperienced & unproven) over Burris then more power to him. It's just his neck on the line.
  10. Burris won't go to BC with Lulay there. He is still a starting qb in the CFL. He won't play behind Travis. He'll re-sign in Hamilton,I believe.
  11. I don't think this part of doing business. There's a funding shortfall because of cost overruns. It has to be taken care of. Someone will have to write the cheque.
  12. If Burris is the best option then we should sign him. It's stop gap.... maybe just for a season but he would make us better. A year from now we'd be in the same situation we are now. Looking for a long term starter. Can't go thru what we went thru last season again.
  13. The White W is iconic. Not the one you posted.
  14. Yes, I'm very happy to hear that. Our young qbs need a dedicated coach to help them develop. I'm wondering who it would be?
  15. Biggest Douchebag: Dwight Anderson
  16. Never understood why a hockey arena was built under the grandstand of a football stadium.
  17. We say coaching or lack of it has hurt the Bombers. Claude Noel is he the problem?
  18. The Jets are sucking but I think a lot of fans expected them to be as bad as the Flames & Oilers in a tougher West Division. Clearly they're not... Noel will probably last the season & be gone.
  19. Years ago, I coached with a guy who was in his early 20's. He was 10-15 years younger than the other coaches on the team. The organization we were with thought he was ready for the step up to HC but he wasn't as he was too young. He was made HC of the bantam team we coached on. He became very bossy & demanding, yelling at the players & coaches constantly. There was lots of tension & arguing going on at practices especially. Turns out he wasn't a bad guy. He was just young & thought that if he yelled a lot that he would get our (coaches) respect. Well, after the President of the team sat him down he learned that he needed to earn our respect as coaches not just demand it. Being constantly in a coaches grill solves nothing. Once he realized that, he was fine. I kind of see the same thing going on here with the Bombers. We as fans, want this team to demand respect from other organizations. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. The Bombers will have to earn it by being professional in everything we do from now on.
  20. I do think the past regime & their actions are hurting us now recruiting great coaches but... if we can improve on the field & have a business like professional approach by the organization to winning we will eventually get the great coaches to come here. But I do think that qualified coaches are holding off coming here until they see proof of change. I think that is what BriceDream is trying to say. The key to winning is to look after the little things as well as the big ones.
  21. The receiver from Hamilton is Simon Charbonneau-Campeau. He will instantly be the Stamps' best Canadian receiver. Just watch. He was stuck behind Fantuz and Giguere in Hamilton but he is a stud. If he's THAT GOOD then why did the Ti Cats part with him? Be interesting to see how he does.
  22. Are the Ti Cats really an up & coming team? If Dan LeFevour was the Ti Cats qb, they'd be lucky to win 6 games. Hank won a lot of games for them. He also lost a few as well.
  23. Well, Chris Jones was the poster boy for leaving the Stamps to go coach with his BFF Scott Milanovich while under contract to Calgary. And just to make it better, Scotty gave his BFF the title of Associate HC & more scouting duties along with more $$. Jones couldn't leave Calgary fast enough. So yeah, just because.... Argos wanted Jones & made it worth his while. I bet this kind of thing goes on every year not just in the CFL but in the NFL & NCAA as well. It's called The Old Boys Club.
  24. I certainly don't understand the Stamps trade with Hamilton shipping off Spencer Armstrong for the other guy whose French Canadian last name is too long to remember. The Stamps were really high on Armstrong. They drafted him in 2009 but he had his military commitments & couldn't report. He finally got out of the US Air Force late last year & made it up to the Stamps in September & eventually got on the field for 1 game. Huff seemed to like him. Then, poof... he was traded to Hamilton for another backup Canadian receiver. A trade for depth is how I see it, but still... Just strange. Then Huff signs qb Adrian McPherson. The first comments from the Calgary media was that he was signed to take Glenn's role on the roster. Not his spot but his ROLE... No way McPherson can do anything close to what Glenn did for the Stamps as he has nowhere near the ability. The signing is a real head scratcher. I'm thinking the Stamps are going to trade Drew Tate & having McPherson is insurance for BLM.
