  1. C'mon, enough with the hyperbole. Creehan has had the worst D in the league by a wide margin for two years running. At least Etcheverry has some mediocre defenses to his credit; the one in Saskatchewan in 2009 was fourth in points allowed. Umm...it's either first for us, or none at all. Get with the program...duh. For someone who knows nothing about the guy & relying on others to tell you their feelings about the guy that's an interesting thing to say.
  2. Not Etcheverry. Hell, I'll take Creehan over this guy & that tells you how bad he is.
  3. He plays unorthodox defenses with mixed results. Wouldn't be my choice.
  4. I like to imagine you as an impulse driver... Nah, just wearing my heart on my sleeve. I think all of us had looked forward to Stubler as our DC & now he's in Calgary.... Huge letdown. Well you did go from the 'excitement with the O'Shea hire' to 'mediocrity continues' in the span of a few seconds once this decision came in. Just saying...there's probably an in-between state that you could reach. I don't think any of us are happy to lose out on Stubler. Not sure that condemns us to the gloomy picture you apparently are envisioning. Yeah, I agree. Everyone is right about my comments. Reacting to the news & I was just wearing my heart on my sleeve. I realize I went over the top. My apologies.
  5. Looking for the blue pills.... Where are they when you need them?

  7. Nelson is close to Rick Campbell & is rumoured to be going there. Are the Bombers being too cautious? Not going for it? My frustration level is rising.... Why can't we ever have good things happen to this team? Any excitement with the O'Shea hire now is just becoming a "Meh" kind of reality, it seems. Same **** different year. The perception seems to be that no matter who we plug in as coach or GM nothing changes. Mediocrity continues.
  8. Reed was the consequences. Shitty head coach.
  9. Someday when we have a good team, I just hope we kick every other CFL team in the ass every chance we get. Maybe I'm overreacting here but this combined with Desjardins comments about the roster on Monday makes me angry. Tired of us being the league whipping boys.
  10. They scooped him up. Very frustrating.
  11. Just announced by the Stampeders.
  12. I think he is a FA. O'Neill just isn't a CFL calibre kicker IMO. This rookie kicker who is the CIS leader in points, he's an intriguing prospect. Do the Stamps own his rights?
  13. Mike, used to be easy to copy & paste off google. Now, it seems you can't. Google both Hugh O'Neill & Daniel Bryan & see for yourself.
  14. So, that means Daniel Bryan is available to kick. Some consolation prize.
  15. One would think that Goltz' play on the field didn't help either. Indubidibly.
  16. We can only hope.
  17. Sure seemed that way to me. I think the tie & cuff routine really got to Burke in the LD game. He didn't play well even though he scored a touchdown & gestured to the Mosaic Stadium crowd. We still lost & I think that's where he lost Burke.
  18. Ottawa got Kohlert because Walters didn't think they'd select a free agent which was the correct way to go as other CFL teams did the same judging by the flurry of signings going on. Walters may say publicly that he wasn't surprised but I bet he fell out of his chair when it happened. I bet a few 4 letter words were uttered in his office, especially if a deal was in place to be signed right after the draft.
  19. The way Reilly plays he's the next guy on that list. Admire his heart but he plays stupid. Buck was the same way when he came into the CFL. Reckless abandon that left him wrecked.
  20. Nichols still has some to prove before I would consider him starter material. Spot duty over a season ago isn't enough at this point. Same with Drew Willy. Nichols has the injury factor now hanging over him... Like Buck. Buck is 20 times worse than Nichols. That's pretty extreme.
  21. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/football/cfl/stampeders-lose-kevin-glenn-jmicheal-deane-and-eric-fraser-to-redblacks-236119961.html Not sure he was as happy as you may think Iso. I'm sure he realizes the "insurance policy" he had in Glenn and now that won't be there ... Hey IC, Hufnagel is one cool customer. Does Huff look upset losing Glenn & 2 other starters? Sure he didn't want to lose any players but the guy looks like... whatever. Just another day. Watch the entire interview & you be the judge. http://www.stampeders.com/video/index/id/93895

I'm sure he realizes the "insurance policy" he had in Glenn and now that won't be there ... Like Buck in Winnipeg preventing any qb development & movement, the 3 headed qb monster at times was counter productive. Luckily all 3 got along last year but it was pretty clear it couldn't continue. I believe either Glenn or Tate would have been traded had this been a normal off season.
