I hope Hall comes back as he did improve. That being said, I hope Boltus & Goltz are gone.

Yeah Dascow, who knows.? Burke & that coaching staff was totally ******.
-
If he's totally healthy he may be underrated as a starter.... Just a thought.

So who got bent over the worst by the Exp Draft?
iso_55 replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
No, he's no Mike Kelly that's for sure. But when he's not happy he shows it. When he's angry his answers are curt & to the point. He's never been adversarial with the media in the 6 seasons he's been in Calgary but it shows when he's upset. Monday, he lost a qb, an OL & a safety all starters & he is joking & laughing because he knows with his talent & depth, the Stamps won't skip a beat. The most negative thing he says is he's not happy about it. Huff's favourite movie as a football coach is, "It's A Wonderful Life". -
Now that he's locked up for 2 years could he available in a trade?

Ask Tim Burke.

Calgary is a winner only because they are one of the few teams who can absorb these losses & not be affected because of their depth. Like I posted earlier.Hufnagel had a presser & he was all smiles & relaxed. Not at all acting like a GM who lost 3 starters. -
And his guys, Including qb. Boltus was a stop gap. They had absolutely no confidence in Goltz after his attitude took him right out of playing.

Who and what? Yes! Yes! Yes!!!

Why the surprise, Jacquie? I've been saying this more than once & taking heat for it. Outside of Winnipeg, no one thinks our Canadian depth is any good. Some of you guys can argue the drafting record of Mack but across the league people looking at the roster consider our Canadian strength a joke. And because of our track record as an organization, anything we do, any move we make is scoffed & laughed at by other CFL teams, fans & media. It's going to take a long time to get any kind of credibility back & earn respect from the rest of the CFL. -
Upgrade the OL & qb positions & I think Bellefeuille will be alright.
-
Rich Kotite had experience. Doesn't mean any NFL team would ever want him.
-
I am so conflicted!!
-
And Desjardins slammed the organization publicly by saying basically there wasn't even 3 players under contract to select so they had to choose Kohlert a free agent. I know our team is bad but to say we don't have 3 players under contract worth selecting? Well **** him. Shove it, Desjardins.
-
Yeah, again feel the same way. They get a free pass at the qb position & we're left to struggle. I also get a sense that the City of Ottawa & the redblacks have a bit of self entitlement that WE owe THEM even though they ****** up twice. That the CFL better give us a good team or we won't support them.
-
At last, someone who feels like I do. Instead of this, "Hey, it's great for the CFL".... Or, "The redblacks have to have a good team or the team won't last" BS you get when someone dares to say screw them.
-
I think it's a given that even with the signings, they'll both have competition at training camp. Especially along the offensive line. Daniel Bryan is a free agent & he may be available although the thought of Old Goat Face doing the punting & kicking doesn't thrill me.
-
Hasn't that be shown to be untrue since he has interviewed for 2 OC jobs since those comments were allegedly made. I don't know Jacquie. Has he? Maybe he has.
-
Yep, looks that way.

His stock seems to have fallen because he said he'd only leave Sask if he was a head coach. Coming here as qb coach would be a lateral move for probably less money. The reason I say that is I had a chat a while back with Ray Jones who told me that Chamblin originally hired Khari to be his OC a couple of years ago but Taman overruled Chamblin as he personally promised the job to Bob Dyce in 2012. In order to soothe bad feelings, Chamblin still paid KJ the same money as he'd get if he was an OC. So he came on board as Chamblin's QB Coach. Then, last year Dyce was demoted & George Cortez was hired. So, in that case would Khari really want to come here as QB Coach as I don't believe he'd be paid the same $$ he is getting in Saskatchewan.

Ulrich is as well connected with the CFL as any beat writer covering a team.

Bellefeuille came here under the worst possible situation. It was a no win situation, actually. A lot of coaches wouldn't have touched it with a 10 foot pole. He actually got the offense to improve under his tutelage. He also didn't have a lot to work with & still made some good things happen. Max Hall didn't throw a pick his last 3 games & seemed to be getting better as time went on. While I'm not 100% thrilled, I think if we have a better OL & a qb in place that we'll be even better next season. At least he has experience which is what we need. Not convinced Khari Jones would be much better than Marcel calling the plays. I really want to see a proper qb coach in place to help the young qbs develop faster & to help them on the sidelines game day.

Calgary has so much depth that they'll absorb the hit & keep on going. They lost Glenn & still have Tate & BLM. John Hufnagel said he's going to be excited to start developing a young third string qb for the future whoever that is once training camp arrives now that a spot is open on the roster. They lost OL J'Michael Deane & Huff said after the draft at a presser that he'd never start in Calgary on a full time basis. Huff also said that he knew he'd lose a safety yet he didn't know which one as he has Adam Berger, Keenan McDougall & Jeff Hecht waiting in the wings. He said losing a safety allowed him to protect other Canadian players at positions not so deep. Huff sounded pretty relaxed & calm. He even joked around with the media. While he was doing the presser he told the Calgary media that the scrum interrupted a coaching interview he was having & when he is done with them he was going back to finish it. When asked how the coaching interview process was going he said, "Fine, thanks". And to the reporter who asked the question, "How come you never showed up?" Smiles & laughter all around. Looked like just another day at the office for the Stamps President of Football Operations & HC. Wow, the guy seeemed totally relaxed even after losing 3 starters including a qb. Not a care in the world. Having depth at nearly every position will do that for him. -
Nobody better for now.

Zontar, okay... Good.
