And especially when the host c ity plays their games in a toilet not a stadium. Why the CFL couldn't have waited at least until their new stadium was built is beyond me.

Dickenson To Sign Long Term Deal With Stamps
iso_55 replied to iso_55's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Sure. We're all stall.Never go. Bomber fans would kill for 75 wins, a Grey cup victory & a finalist in another since 2008. So they were in the Cup twice, back up 2007 and we were to. Kelly knew enough that Glenn was not the answer..... All those wins just to choke out and embarrass themselves. Goltz and the Bombers pounded the Riders at home this year and the Stamps were no shows, looked lost and unprepared on the biggest day of the year.. Goltz and the Bombers? Give it up man, he's gone. Goltz couldn't win a quarter of the games Glenn has as a starter. Personally, I'll take a guy like Glenn who can take us to the championship game & not to the perpetual basement. You want to blame Glenn as not being able to win the Big Game? At least he got the Bombers & Stamps there. Then there's Goltz... -
Rumour: Danny McManus Potential Assistant GM Candidate
iso_55 replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Nothing wrong with Danny M -- he'll be fine -- the problem is towards the end of the piece where they talk about how "tight" KJ is with Miller, yadda yadda. Just seems so... business as usual in Bomberland. Yeah, read that & thought the same thing. Here we go again.... -
Dickenson To Sign Long Term Deal With Stamps

Thank you for not being a revisionist historian as that is how I remember it going down as well.

He never was a Lyle Bauer guy. Pretty common knowledge. I don't recall Ritchie wanting to leave.

Durant is either playing the victim of the mean fans/media, or he's a cocky pos. There usually isn't much middle ground with him, IMO. His pouting and poor me attitude in 2011 cost a few coaches their jobs. In the Banjo Bowl he was taunting the fans at the end of the game, which is something I'd never want to see my starting qb do. IMO, being the starting qb means you should conduct more professionally than that. He's the face of the team and he acted like a clown. Chamblin is too cocky for my liking. He called out Cornish & the Stamps and guaranteed they'd hold them under 100 yards or people would lose their jobs. That's a stupid thing for a HC to say. Especially last season, he seemed too cocky for what he'd accomplished to that point in his career. By impossible to like, I mean while they're on any other team than ours. I just assumed that went w/o saying. I think Dwight Anderson is the only player in the league I couldn't cheer for, even in Blue & Gold. Anderson is a douchebag. Six months from now he may be a jailbird. That'll shut up his chirping.

Always liked Dave. But Bauer ran him out of town.

Dickenson To Sign Long Term Deal With Stamps

are you willing to acknowledge now that Dickenson not wanting to come to Winnipeg had nothing to do with Winnipeg itself? Are you talking to me? I want Higgins here not Dickenson. -
What's worse, I know people who were "fans" of other teams, who went there and bought IN to that bullshit, and are now Rider "fans" and tell everyone else that same bullshit about "you have no choice..you live here..." Get ******... Other than being a zombie, you always have a choice.
-
You know what is going to be sickening? If that total fuckhead Rod Black calls the game. That's all he'll talk about. Ridernation this. Ridernation that. The best fans in the league. Best CFL city. How people in Saskatchewan love their team more than anyone else. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. For me, having that idiot ******* calling the game will probably be the tipping point....

he works in sales for Ourbombers? Talk about a thankless job. Every sales pitch would just get vetoed by Shankman. LOL! Vivid imagination, KBF. Meant CJOB.

Hufnagel, Austin, Trestman were all rookie coaches when they had an immidiate impact, so your point is kind of silly. Sure but we always sign the raw rookies & never the coach with a track record. That would be nice for a change.

Vicki Hall of the Calgary Herald is reporting today that Dave Dickenson will sign a new long term deal with the Stamps by month's end to remain with the team not only as the Offensive Coordinator but also with new & expanded duties as the Stampeders Assistant Head Coach. She also reported that John hufnagel will remain as Head Coach for the foreseeable future. He will not be stepping down as Head Coach as he still enjoys being in charge on the sidelines. However, with the anticipated signing of Dave Dickenson, it appears a succession plan is now in place.

Maybe he works in sales for OB, I dunno? Anyway he said no.

Wow, have you lived a sheltered life. For every one bad Ti Cat poster there are 500 Priders on the internet throwing around ****.
-
I don't even feel like waching this game but my wife is a big fan & my son & daughter in law are coming over so I guess I have no choice. Screw the Dbag Riders & Go TiCats!
-
Not convinced. Has a very small body of work to judge him on as he didn't play much.
-
No guarantee on Collaros. Ottawa will go after him hard. Maybe even Hamilton as Hank is a FA.
-
Hard to just give up his day job & leave on a moments notice to go to Calgary. Then there are the injury factors. As far as I know Doug retired fairly healthy. Being out of football shape he would be running the risk of getting hurt for truly not a lot of money. I can see why he never came back. He also has no playing history with the Stamps. If it was the Bombers in the Eastern Final & was asked to come back for the playoffs I could see him saying yes.
-
I can agree with that.
-
I said that on the thread I started but was laughed at...
-
But both Kent Austin and Scott Milanovich BOTH won the grey cup in their rookie year as a HC!!! I loled Sure lets keep doing what we always do. Hire a rookie GM & rookie HC for another rebuild. It's such a winning formula.
-
Not a dumb thread How many rookie coaches have we had that didn't work out? I think experience counts for a lot...
