  1. I do know what happened to Hall. You think Hull's a bad guy (you seem to think a lot of public figures are bad people) but being a wrestling promoter you would have employed bad guys & put $$ in their pockets hiring them for your shows so what Brandon said to you is relevant.
  2. What happened to Lawler?
  3. Smackdown looks really weak. No Rollins, No Reigns, Cena will be part time. They do have AJ Styles. I expect that if there is a second WWE title belt that he'll be the holder of it. soon Is Alberto Del Rio teasing a face turn? They don't draft Heath Slater but draft that useless turd Bo Dallas? The closing shot with Slater pissed off all alone in the dark was funny.
  4. I think Vince thinks couples unless they're married aren't "good for business".
  5. I remember all kinds of posters here back before the 2014 season mocking Mike Reilly & there were lots of people here saying they were happy he was traded to Edmonton because he was a crappy qb & that we didn't need him. The same posters were sticking up for Joe Mack. The same who stuck up for Mack were the same pumping Kyle Walters tires a few months later just before & after he was hired. And that MOS was this young "Can't Miss" coach so he's a great hire. Didn't matter about his lack of coaching experience. And hey, we have a Canadian GM, Canadian Head Coach, a bunch of CIS assistants all with no pro experience & that was great too. When hired, our GM could call the Notre Dame or New York Giants coaching offices & they would have no idea who he is but that was okay too. A GM doesn't need connections in the US, they said. If anyone disagreed on any of these subjects those same people attacked the ones who said differently vehemently. So, now I read them trying to make a case for Drew Willy, Mike OShea & Walters as the Good Ship Blue Bomber is springing more leaks daily & the boat starts sinking. They really don't have a lot to say anymore in their defense as the losses mount. Sadly, all it did was just create deep divisions on this forum. The people who like Walters & MOS & the people who don't. Since the 2 haven't won & the team just keeps losing, the divisions have gotten deeper & larger as time goes on. It really is unfortunate as this is not a happy place anymore. Lots of denial, anger & angst. Too bad, really. This is a great site. It would be nice if those divisions heal one day.
  6. Talk to us in September or October.
  7. I'd take Bishop over Willy. The guy went out & did his best to win. He wasn't scared or shell shocked like Willy. This coaching staff & mgmt has destroyed the guy.
  8. Happy feet, passes into the dirt, passes overthrown, high, low, sideways, telegraphing his receivers. He's had time to throw & he's scared.
  9. Our drafts have been no better under Walters than Mack. There's a reason why our Canadian talent isn't up to the level of other CFL teams.
  10. Once Glenn, Collaros & Durant are back Willy will be the worst starter in the CFL.
  11. And who did the firing? MOS has replaced his STC, OC & DC. All in 3 years. You keep harping on keeping coaches around for stability & that no one wants to come here because they'll get fired. I don't think that is the case. Coaches know winning is the only thing & 3 years is a fair amount of time to do it if MOS doesn't get it done. Look around you. Every team hires & fires coaches. Remember what happened last off season? This stability thing you talk about is bull. If a coach doesn't perform then he is let go. That's the nature of the business & it's always been like that which it as it should be. Winnipeg isn't any different. A coach doesn't win then he's fired. I don't want to keep MOS around if he doesn't win. No one does. He's been here three seasons which is more than enough to at least show progress. So, all the excuses are over. The learning curve from hiring a rookie HC with virtually no coaching experience is over. He has to win & win now or it'll be time for him to go. Not keep him around because it'll look better or more stable.
  12. One of these weeks? Wow. stay tuned... Meanwhile the team sinks further into oblivion waiting. Noeller, it's not good enough.
  13. Well that could be but I just think that offenses became more sophisticated as time went on. Football went thru a renaissance in the late 60's with some talented younger coaches who came into the NFL & CFL. They implemented new passing offenses which meant you could run less plays & score more points. Throwing the ball became the thing to do.
  14. If, ifs & buts were candy & nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas. Quit reaching. Just saying.
  15. Fullbacks back then weren't just part time blocking backs. They carried the ball a lot. Almost guaranteed in short yardage but if Lewis got 20 carries in a game I'm sure James got at least 10 & maybe more. It was a runners league back then.
  16. I misread the comments about James being inducted in front of a smaller capacity in a less important game. It was a premise presented in a scenario with 2 choices & not necessarily his belief so I apologize to Mike for what I said in my earlier post.
  17. I've never heard that about the infamous other James. Gerry James left the Bombers over a contract dispute. I've read that James felt Bud Grant didn't think much of Canadian players & he felt he didn't treat them very well. I think he may have played for the Riders. Not sure about that. I know he lived in Estevan for a few years & coached the Estevan Bruins in the SJHL.
  18. Scott Hall killed a guy in a fight outside a bar in Florida before he became a wrestler. Hulk Hogan is a racist according to the PC crowd these days & slept with a guy's wife even though he was set up. There's all kinds of examples of wrestlers who have been honoured but are dirt bags outside the ring. But hey, it's all about selling tickets.
  19. I thought James had passed away but he hasn't. I just hope the team isn't that cynical that it saves better known players they think will sell tickets to games that are deemed as more important. There shouldn't be some kind of agenda. I'll say this, Milt was an outstanding Blue Bomber receiver & the best who ever played the position but how many rings does he have? None. James I think has 4. And the guy played for the Leafs in the SIX TEAM NHL as well as for the Bombers. That in itself is incredible. Yet I read here that some think he's not as important which I think is unfortunate. I hope that isn't the case from the Bombers. Don't make the decisions & why political. Treat all these guys the same as they deserve it.
  20. I can't see Miller replacing Walters. Not now. I think that he has one more HC to hire after MOS if he fails.
  21. I think that you're safe with Brink but maybe Elliott...
  22. Good job Mr Dee. Keep it up!
  23. That's how I read it. On Space then Crave TV.
  24. Hull is being honoured & all the complaints here won't change that. He's being honoured for what he did as a hockey player for the Winnipeg Jets & that is the way it should be.
