Well, one thing is for sure. Eskies OL is as bad or worse than ours & he's putting up big numbers so he'd have done very well here. Would we have won more games, hard to say but it is a shame he's in Edmonton & not here. But after this season & the punishment he's taken there he'll be an old 29 when the season starts in 2014.there

Bo Levi Mitchell came through in the clutch. Great young qb. Nothing seems to faze the guy. I'd say the best of all the young guns in the CFL. He made a couple of mistakes early with the interception & fumble but he didn't let it rattle him. BLM just went on to the next play & forgot it so props to him for being so poised. Bo Levi sure came on strong in the second half. Hank had a great start & faded when the pressure was on as Hank always does. He got to 50,000 yds career CFL passing, threw for nearly 400 yds & still lost. That pick he threw late in the 4th quarter was inexcusable for a 15 year veteran. After the game Hank was inteviewed & said he has to learn from his mistakes & get better. Like huh?? A 15 year veteran serves up a brain fart on a play like that & he still says he has to learn from his mistakes?? Whatever happened to ball security being the first priority in field goal range??? That is why Hank's not missed in Calgary. And why he is going to drive Hamilton fans nuts like he did the fans in Calgary & Kent Austin will want to strangle him.

Burke's comments on what Hervey said about Rottier
iso_55 replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Hervey's remarks about Rottier were planned out & deliberate which makes it far worse. Burke's comments are off the cuff & right after a game when he's obviously emotional. Hervey did a precision bombing strike, Burke carpet bombs. -
Anyone going to Calagary game in October.

Oh, the 80's??? -
The front 4 of the Stamps is relentless with Hughes & Corderro Law coming off the edge. Hank is going to be busy trying to get rid of the football.

I'd rather be the Best In The West than a Beast In The East. -

East side. -
The Stamps don't give any money to the Colts. The only $$$ they get is from 50/50 from what I understand. Colts players do practice with the Stamps all season long & then go practice & play with the Colts. Stamps OG Spencer Wilson & receiver Johnny Forzani did that separately. Right now, another Colts receiver Ben Hnatiuk is doing that with the Stamps this season.

Sight lines at McMahon are pretty good wherever you sit. It's a nice stadium to watch football. As far as Bomber fans sitting together, there aren't enough fans going to a game for that. They're all over. -
Nah, I expected it.

Bombers moving to the West next year
iso_55 replied to sweep the leg's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It's good as now there's more urgency to build a better team & not rely on weaker teams to prop us up. I'm great with this because we are a Western city. When you are 2-8 there shouldn't need to be more urgency to build a better team. Sorry, not buying it. Wade Miller isn't sitting in his office going "Oh, we're in the West now? **** I guess this team does need to improve quickly." Well, you read the comments here about playing in the West being harder.... We won't have Ottawa to fall back on... But we will have Edmonton. -

The Bombers will be compensated which will help pay off some of the salaries they are currently paying out to fired coaches & managers. So, that is good. -

Love it. -
The question has to be asked just why this kind of thing happens to the Rider organization than any other team in the CFL? In the last 10 years just look at all the players & a general manager getting into trouble.
-
They wer That being said, what did you want the Rider players to do Iso? Just stand there and be pummeled by angry Somalis with baseball bats? The Somalis control a lot of the cocaine trade in that area with the Bakken Oil fields being close by, I wonder if there is more to this story. I have a hard time believing that this was just a random attack for no reason whatsoever. Why would the cops charge a victim?? If they were defending themselves then why just those 2?? We'll see what the Riders do. Interesting it's always the same Usual Suspects that get in trouble. Dwight Anderson. Every team he's played on there's been problems.
-
There should be no protections for junior teams. Besides, BC, there's a whole bunch in Southern Ontario so who would protect who with 3 CFL teams? In Saskatchewan two for the Riders with both being perennial powerhouses & three in Alberta with 2 in Edmonton. It's not equitable. Make it wide open.

Reebok is so clueless. I wish the CFL didn't have to hoare itself out to them & let the teams design & take care of their jerseys as in the past. The Bomber jersey design we love so much wasn't a Reebok or Nike creation... It was originally done in the late 60's & tweaked slightly with neck & arm striping occasionally after that into the 90's.

I just watched the media scrum with Brendan Taman. The Rider "Code of Conduct" was brought up by a reporter. Taman was asked if it is still valid & he said yes it is. He had no comment when asked if it applies to Smith & Anderson. Taman said they can keep playing both guys until their court case is heard likely some time next year if they want. He didn't even mention if he is considering suspending them so I think I know where this will be going. They'll play no matter any Code of Conduct. Now we'll see if this code which is supposedly likened to the bible within the Riders organization really means anything. If not, then winning a Grey Cup is more important to the Riders organization than any bogus set of high moral community standards & conduct rules written on a worthless piece of paper. They play & the Riders are two faced.
-
I'm afraid to ask this because it sounds like I should know but what are you talking about?
-
Dwight Anderson. Guy's a thug.

Too bad it'll take that long to fix the sleeves. Also too bad he didn't say the Bombers were working on making them the permanent home jerseys with whites for the road.
