Great players acccept challenges. The kid in Calgary is doing amazing. So good that last year's starter at center Jon Gott has been moved to guard.
-
Elliot also has a weak arm. Why can't the Bombers find another Don Jonas or Deiter Brock? Jonas was a real leader... That is what set him apart... And extremely confident.

Bob Irving: Max Hall To Start

Wait..................... what ? http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nfl/story/_/id/9571497/members-kiss-buy-stake-la-arena-expansion-franchise The LA Kiss? OMFG!! LOL! -
The last thing I'd call Buck is a cancer. That's the wrong thing to say & keeping him may not have been the right choice but he has a lot of respect in the locker room
-
Amazing a guy like Brendan Labatte would be afraid to play center yet the rookie in Calgary who was drafted this past May has started every game at center for the Stamps. Like what is up with that? A veteran scared to switch from guard to center because he has to make the blocking calls???

Well, like I said... The Winnipeg Winnipegs won the 1935 Grey Cup & that is what is listed on the CFL HOF website under past Grey Cup champions. Not the Blue Bombers. According to the CFL & the HOF the team has won 9. Don't tell me, tell them. You can tell me anything you want & it won't change what is on their website.

Lol people are very testy on here , it's almost as bad as during the Kelly years where people over exaggerate or derail threads or go on wild tangents for no reason at all... All I was suggesting was that Hall wasn't the worst qb out on the field this last week. While I am critical of his throwing arm and still have my doubts on it (looks weak) looking back his play was better then some well established stars in the league. People around here (ISO / UNKNOWN POSTER / CURT HENNIG FROM HIS GRAVE ) made it seem like Hall was a complete waste of skin and that Goltz was equally as terrible... when in fact they weren't that bad considering they have barely any on the field CFL experience. The point of this thread was to show Hall actually had decent numbers and their were much worst qbs this week. When did I say Hall was a complete waste of skin? Never ONCE did I say that. I happen to like the guy. So speak for yourself & nobody else if you're that clueless..

And the CFL website says it was the Winnipeg Winnipegs who were nicknamed the 'Pegs. http://cfl.ca/greycupcentral/year/1935 And the Bombers website say 10. http://www.bluebombers.com/page/grey_cups The Winnipeg Football Club was founded in 1930. Changing the name of the team from the Winnipegs to the Blue Bombers doesn't change the fact that the Winnipeg Football Club has won 10 Grey Cups. Well, tell that to the CFL HOF. Because according to them, the "Blue Bombers" have won 9 Grey Cups.

Results?

This game is no fun.

Not according to CFL HOF. The Winnipeg "Pegs" won the 1935 Grey Cup. Not the Blue Bombers. It's 9.

correction, hired terrible coaches, cost him his job. Jeez, two dimensional... Who knew?

Frigging Peterson. Same guy who stood up for the gap toothed fans at Mosaic Stadium who showered the BC bench with beer cans a few years ago. I also said the same thing... Jeremy O'Day? Hey, I'm glad the dude doesn't want to come here.

All I know is I hope I never hear Burke pass responsibility for any personnel moves on his coordinators. Even if he gave them responsibility on personnel moves, that was still his decision as a HC to do it so it still should ultimately fall on Burke for doing so & no one else.

Bob Irving: Max Hall To Start

Not sure why you're trying to prove your clearly flawed opinion by comparing Buck to KG. Glenn averaged 22 TD's and 3900 yds per year from '05-'08. Buck has thrown 25 TDs and about 6000 yds in his entire Bomber career!!! Yeah, we were probably dumb dumping Glenn when we did, but suggesting we're about to make the same mistake with Buck is laughable. Dumping Glenn is what happens when management listens to its fan base vs doing what is best for the team. You don't replace your starting QB until someone plays at the same level or above consistently enough to make the switch. That was Mike Kelly, wasn't it? -
The history of this team tells me that they'll make Wade Miller the permanent President & Kyle Walters the permanent GM. Experience be damned. Other more qualified people will apply, especially at GM but it won't matter. I don't have an issue per se with Miller as he has a football background & knows how to run a business but I do if Walters is kept on at GM as he is a neophyte. he needs more experience before they hand the reigns over to him, I think. It'll be same old, same old.

They gave Goltz 2 tries. Might as well see how Hall does. -
Mack: One dimensional. Drafted but refused to sign FAs or make trades. Cost him his job.

Community Ownership or the lack of same and how to go forward
iso_55 replied to saskbluefan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The model we have now is broken. Clearly not working. So, short of a private owner buying the team, we have to look at different models of public ownership. If the Sask model works, we should look seriously at it. What is the Eskimo community model? -
The Bombers didn't win the 1935 grey Cup. The team was called the Winnipeg Winnipegs. So, the Bombers have won 9 Grey Cups not 10.

Creehan has to go... replace him with who?
iso_55 replied to Brandon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Reilly is starting to play a lot better than earlier this season.... -
heard marcel said the starting qb decision will be up to Burke. About time the guy took responsibility for the qb mess we have now. If it fails, then it's on him.

I'd say the Esks are in better shape than we are so he's safe. Hervey wouldn't fire him 2 months after giving him an extension. Only Joe Mack does that.
