  1. No one is disputing his info may be true. We're just saying Pederson is a tool. Why would the Bombers want Jeremy O'Day? The guy retired 2 seasons ago. He's still clueless when it comes to running a team. He can stay in Regina for all I care.
  2. Nope same. I cheer for both teams Zontar. But born & raised in Winnipeg so I love the Bombers & like the Stamps. Started going to games at Winnipeg Stadium in 1969. Blue Bomber season ticket holder from 1974-90. Stamps season ticket holder from 1991-97. Met a lot of former Stamps through coaching in Calgary. The Blue & Gold is in my veins. Why else would I be cheering for them like this when the organization is down? It's easy to cheer for a team when it wins.
  3. Some internet bullies were trollling Mark Sanchez yesterday. Some of the things they said were pretty disturbing. Sanchez tweeted a picture of a cup of coffee he bought in a coffee shop & one loser tweeted he hoped it was laced with cyanide. He had some other tweets as well that weren't nice like hoping he'd tear his ACL. Sanchez kept saying "Thanks for the support." Idiots. https://twitter.com/Mark_Sanchez
  4. It sounds to me that you like to hide behind your handle. Personally, I wouldn't type anything different if I had a handle instead of using my real name. OTOH, being called by your real name when you haven't provided it is kinda skanky of the posters who do it. But do you know any coaches, players or managers well in the CFL? I do & it can be tough sometimes as I am a fan first. I have my loyalties, ha ha. If you don't know anyone then you can say whatever you like. But when people know you, well.... Thing is, I could change my handle but I don't want to. I just have to watch what I say. And yeah, doing that is skanky.
  5. No thanks. kavis wasn't a great DC or ST Coordinator.
  6. There used to be 2 or 3 great games a week a few years back. Now there are more duds than ever. It's hurting the CFL.
  7. I only wish some of the people in the CFL didn't care what I thought. Consider yourselves lucky.
  8. Dude, you have a lot of posts... Dude, I don't care.
  9. He has the long hair & braids going for him...
  10. Lets give Marcel the benefit of the doubt before we call him names. We are better than the gap toothed masses on Rider Fans. That is their schtick.
  11. Yeah, it was a great interview. He actually apologized for not getting more wins.I think sometimes we forget these guys have families & lives outside football & how hard it is on them. Hope he does well wherever he goes from here.
  12. This season sure reminds me of 2009. Wasn't it just about now Kelly put in an emergency call to Michael Bishop?
  13. Everything I say on here would be just as easy for me to say in public. I'm not hiding behind anything. An unnamed reporter (very popular round these parts) asked me to take down a post about him that I made on OB a few years ago. I told him to shove it. Defamation suit my rear end. Well, I dunno. That's how you handled it. As the CFL exec knew me quite well I didn't take any chances so yeah, I apologized. Maybe the sucky thing to do but really, I come on here for fun not to possibly get sued so I retracted what I said.
  14. That is for the off season. All the qualified coaches have jobs. Hiring them is done after the regular season & GC. Having said that, a qb coach? What a novel idea.
  15. Just one last thing I want to say about using people names here instead of their handles. On one of the Stampeder threads a few years back, I said something uncomplimentary about a CFL exec that I knew. I had no idea that he read CFL sites & suddenly I got this scathing email from him basically asking me to renounce what I said online. He was clearly angry & I felt I better do that or I might have a potential defamation suit to deal with as he knew me & who I was. We all say things online because we are anonymous that we wouldn't otherwise say if our identities were clear. After that experience, I don't want my name ever used & that is why I am against using first names or exposing identities on sites like this. Anyway nuff said & back to the subject of this thread.
  16. I think your stance is a bit too serious for my personal tastes, but to each his own. I think a lot of people wouldn't be here if they had to use their first &/or last names as then they'd truly be held accountable for what they say. I'd bet this would become a very vanilla & politically correct board with about 1/5 the members.
  17. If someone uses an actual name as their handle then fine that's what you call them as we don't know any other name to call them. But for me, I wouldn't appreciate anyone calling me by my first name unannounced on a CFL site unless I was asked first. As a veteran poster of many CFL sites over the last 13 years, I've always used iso_55 as my handle. I've never changed it. Some people on different sites know my first name but rarely if ever use it & I know their first names & never use theirs so I reciprocate. When someone calls someone "Ross" & the poster he called Ross is talking about insider info on the Bombers, what am I supposed to think? Now, maybe it's a cynical joke but all it does is raise questions as to the identity of the person being named. I dunno, maybe I'm out in left field. Am I wrong?
  18. I agree. Are you posting seriously as an admin & agree or jokingly because we know your first name? Just askin'?
  19. Better a bone than ligaments, but.... sure.
  20. Do we really want to call people by their first names? I just think that practice should be frowned upon. We're all anonymous here & it should stay that way.
  21. Riders would be 5-2 if they had played the Argos, BC, Calgary & even Hamilton. Whoaaaaa, did I say Hamilton??? Instant retraction!!
  22. I expect the playcalling to be much better.
  23. He shouldn't be a HC then should he??? I mean, someone has to be in charge. A HC always has the final say. Always except this dude. Pretty easy for Burke to defer decisions on assistants & say, "Hey, not me. I never did it.". When it blows up there's no blood on Burke. Cop out. A coach designated the OC to run the offence and pick his QB to better suit his offence. That is all that happened here. Coach Burke is wrong about many things but letting his OC choose the starting QB is was not the wrong decision IMO he's not wrong to let the OC choose the qb, he was wrong to bring it up in the media that he did it. Burke is the guy in charge, he should take ownership of every decision and not open himself up for the silly criticisms like that. He shouldn't be a HC then should he??? 24. Crowton showed a lot of class. He could have dumped on a lot of people but didn't. I wish the man well wherever he goes.
