  1. Alright, I watch the CFL & others who do have said the same thing on this thread. I think the rules I mentioned are stupid.
  2. Get rid of them both. If wer'e going to start fresh then clean the HC & OC out.
  3. These are the kind of dumb rules that really make the CFL look bad. Especially down east where the NFL is king. Canadians who are NFL fans only just look at no yards on a blocked convert, a blocked FG attempt that isn't considered an attempt because the ball never crossed the LOS & an OL being called for PI as being something to laugh at. To me, there's still too many old rugby style rules still in the books that need to be cleaned out.
  4. It shouldn't.... I don't even know how to explain that.
  5. The CFL has some extremely stupid rules. When the Stamps convert was blocked last game, the Riders were penalized for No Yards. What kind of frigging rule is that? The team that blocks a convert or FG & it crosses the LOS & the blocking team gets a penalty???? Bush league.
  6. How does he get his helmet & chin strap on?? One hit & it'll shoot into the sky like a rocket. Not to worry, still a few Main Street skid row bars he can hang out in after parctice.
  7. Which one is Hanks?
  8. Mack the GM would sign off on it. If Walters does the contract then it's natural to assume he did it. Don't players get bonuses when they sign? Seems logical to me that they would.
  9. The Stamps got amazingly lucky. Like they won Lotto Max.
  10. Hugh O'Neill's reaction after Wally told him he was cut. "You're gone, kid!" (As Wally runs for his life).
  11. Will Hank or Frank show up tonight for Hamilton? After having watched Burris in Calgary for years when he played here, this is the type of game Frank loves to suit up for.
  12. Well, to be fair to the Bombers, nobody knew Paredes would be this good of a kicker. Paredes had to beat out 2 other kickers in a tryout with the Stamps. He was a little known kicker from the CIS at the time.
  13. I have a theory about that. One he didn't do a lot of interviews & seemed aloof to the media covering the CFL not only in Winnipeg but across the country. And the way he went into hiding after that 52-0 loss in Regina. I remember the angry tweets by members of the national media on twitter in utter disbelief that he was hiding from them, in their opinion when he refused to talk to anyone after that game. Then he waited afterwards for 4 days before having a news conference despite repeated calls he address that loss. That really hurt him & I think created a bullseye for the guy with the CFL media. Had he talked to the them right afterwards, he may have been treated a lot better. He pissed off those guys acoss Canada & in Winnipeg just like Mike Kelly did 3 years before. Mack was not long for his job after that. Lasted 11 months after the Regina debacle. The writing was on the wall.
  14. Buck should have been cut. Elliott was no screaming hell either. Keeping him or Buck was like a coin flip. Who's better? No one. None of them (including Brink) could have made us long term winners. That just may be Joe Mack's legacy... The fiasco at quarterback.
  15. Other than bad coaching in Edmonton, there's no ongoing soap opera now that Sonic is gone. But Hervey, is he the answer, we'll see.IU'm not convinced.
  16. Ed Hervey gave him an extension so the Esks are stuck with a long term contract. Don't like the guy as a HC either.

  18. Sorry, I put up with him here in Calgary for 5 years. He left on a real bad note. Became a real problem in the locker room.
  19. Sandra has a big mouth. I heard his interview saying he was better now than when he was young. Compared himself to a vintage wine. Sounds like his mouth got him in trouble more than once.
  20. Yep. Maybe if more Canadian HS qbs could get NCAA shots, the CFL would actually draft these kids. I'm all for this.
  21. I guess he realizes that for the star recruit 3 years he'll never play in a Bowl game. I wonder how that will affect his draft chances? Again, the Canadian kid is coming in to compete behind Hackenberg. It will be impossible to beat him out. These things happen all the time in recruiting. Coaches habe made up their minds.
  22. First thing I'd ask is do the Eagles & other teams practice on real grass or turf? That's where I'd start.
  23. There are a couple of media guys in Toronto that follow the CFL but granted you are correct. They do a great job on the CFL front. But there aren't enough of them. In Vancouver, they follow the Lions pretty well. Our other CFL fans here can tell us as well.
  24. Just as long as we're not in the mode of players with other organizations (even if they played for us) aren't worth pursuing. I got so sick & tired of hearing that from Mack & that's why I soured on the guy. Right now, we should be bringing in guys to compete at nearly every position that needs upgrading with NFL cuts coming. Better not hear that garbage in the off season anymore.
