We give our GM & coaches a year, two, sometimes three seasons to really make sure they're incompetent. I mean, if you can't win in 2012, why can't you win in 2013?? Aren't we nice? I remember Bill Cosby talk about his time at Temple University as a high jumper. He said he couldn't clear 6 feet. Tried it again & again with no success. Then he thought, "If I can't jump 6 feet in practice, then why not 6 feet one?" Power of positive thinking, right? So, he put the bar at 6'1 & guess what happened??? He couldn't jump that either. Fail. That's what the Bombers remind me of. Especially with the way things are going.

I think we know if the Bombers keep losing is that Mack will be gone at season's end. The one thing I don't want from the Bombers is some lame, 2 to 3 months lengthy protracted search like they always do. Identify the candidates right away, keep it to a short list & then interview & hire that person. I think a long search is a waste of time as the Board of Dinosaurs always get it wrong anyway. So shorten the process & maybe they'll get it right this time.

Great, bring back Lyle Bauer who said publicly in Calgary a year or so ago that he'd hire Mike Kelly back. Then Eric Tillman, a guy who assaulted his teenage babysitter, thinks his **** don't stink & traded Ricky Ray for nothing. He was hated in Edmonton. He'd be hated here.

Higgins built the team that little fat coach in Edmonton Danny Macciocia won a Grey Cup in Edmonton with & then proceeeded to tear it all apart a year later. And brought the Stamps back to respectability his rookie year as GM & HC in Calgary going from last place to a playoff spot in a single year. He has connections everywhere & is a well liked guy. Works well with the media & the fans in Calgary liked him. Be a great person to try to turn the Bombers organization around. Things got away from him in 2007 & was replaced by John Hufnagel. But the fact remains, John won with the core of the team Higgins built.

Why not Higgins? Look at his body of work in Edmonton & especially Calgary... He's proven. Be nice if we'd hire an experienced GM for a change. Something this team has refused to do in the past. All these others are coaches but no managerial experience.

Really? That's your opinion. Not mine. I used to give him a ton of respect but not anymore. He hasn't done anything to earn my respect this year. I lost most of it this season. Maybe Hawkins was struggling & the wrong choice but he did his best to cut his HC legs off at the knees. You'd think a 20 year veteran would be part of the solution & not part of the problem.

So, now we know His Royal Majesty His Royal Highness Anthony Calvillo can't handle losing. He should grow a set & be a leader. Nope, to me he's being a punk. Character really comes to play when you're losing. Easy to be a winner.
