TF, I'm glad you did go back that far. It just shows the incompetency & for how long this has been going on.

Tick tock, tick tock. Time marches on.

Some questions here. Anyone feel free. Does the WWE & Brock himself know how he looks to the fans as not The Beast but becoming The Weak? Would Brock even agree to let Ambrose beat him because both men are over? Wouldn't Lesnar have creative control over his matches? What's in it for Lesnar to let Ambrose beat him?

Hey KBF, I didn't mean to imply you did so sorry if I offended you as I didn't mean to do it.

Different era but this was before the fall of the Canadian dollar in the late 90's to the mid 2000's. It was Mike Smith, his Asst GM who forced Fergie out in a palace coup of some kind where he got the ear of ownership & convinced them Ferguson had to be fired. Disastrous move because Fergie & his scouting team had an eye for talent that was sorely missed after he was gone. He was able to bring in so many talented players during his time here. Smith only lasted a few seasons then he was fired. He was a GM in Chicago & Asst GM in Toronto after the Jets but found little success & now is a scout for another NHL team today.

That's not good. Yeah, a suspension would be warranted.

The Code is still around. But if anyone wants to fight Buff at 260 lbs they're welcome to try. -
They are suicidal nutbars & another nutbar running for President won't solve the problem because he says he has a very good brain.

Well, judging by the reaction to Calgary Next by just about everyone, it won't be in the next year or two but the next decade or two. Horrible proposal in the worst possible place in the city. Anyway, the bottomless pit of money reference must include a new stadium because the money is .... well, bottomless. #snapofthefingers

That was a good draft & yeah Jimmy Mann wasn't the greatest choice but he did play a few seasons as an enforcer for the Jets. I didn't think John Ferguson did as bad as was suggested here by KBF. Kevin Cheveldayoff should be as astute drafting players as Fergie was. He rebuilt the Jets quickly thru the draft with Babych & Hawerchuk, trades & free agent signings like Serge Savard.

I don't know why Ambrose is the top face but you're right. That is why losing to Lesnar won't hurt him & Lesnar gets to keep his Beast Incarnate image intact.
-
Dave Christian turned into a very good hockey player so that draft wasn't a total loss.
-
If they book Lesnar to lose to Ambrose at WM then he should just get out while he's still ahead in his career before he loses all the heat & he's a laughing stock. Lesnar will be the new Bray Wyatt when it comes to PPV's.
-
If Calisto beating Ryback is unbelievable then how is Ambrose beating Lesnar? That's even more of a stretch.

KG would have won a GC here in 2007 over Joseph who looked terrible.

But I think you can see where I'm coming from...

That was 2009. Eight seasons ago. Kelly turned out to be a terrible choice but the coaches & GM's afterwards chosen afterwards contributed to our continuing mediocrity as well. Kelly was inexperienced, Mack was inexperienced, Butchko inexperienced, LaPo inexperienced, Burke inexperienced, Miller inexperienced, Walters inexperienced & O'Shea inexperienced. That's a whole lot of inexperience thrown at us. In all that time, not one hire with past & proven CFL head coaching or management experience. Are we really expected to believe it's just coincidence or the fact the team won't pay to bring in experienced people?

OMG, I can't believe you posted any of that. You must have a very good brain.

They'll need a billion dollar stadium for baseball & another one for the NFL if Toronto ever gets a team... Even Rogers can't afford that. i know I'll never use a Rogers device....

For once, Mike & I agree. I saw Noel Prefontaine get seriously injured once making a tackle. And Prefontaine was athletic for a kicker. Medlock looks like he's not that strong except for his kicking leg. -
I find it hard to believe that an organization can make so many bad choices over & over. Boggles the mind to even consider that. Yeah, this is the year the team has to win.

We be tankin' it (official tanking thread) ...

He can score 30 just as long as we don't win. -
Just sayin'. Sorry.

If the Stamps ownership called called Calgary Sports & Entertainment Company (CSEC) operated by the Flames are a "bottomless pit" of money then why do the Stamps have probably the worst stadium in the CFL? Why not just fund a new one? The Stamps have an average weight room for players, no indoor practice facility, a 55 year old stadium that woefully needs to be replaced & a season ticket base that for the most part is stagnating & a lot of complaints from fans about the lack of comforts & amenities at McMahon Stadium. Using the bottomless pit logic means that Calgary should have had a brand new state of the art stadium as well as facilities better than anywhere in the CFL by now. If anything, the Flames (CSEC) want taxpayers here to fund up to $700 million for the proposed Calgary Next project. It's no bottomless pit of money that's for sure. The Stamps are driven by financial performance. The Flames just don't throw away good money for bad with any of their teams.
