  1. It took Doan how long??? The comparison is a a joke. As far as kicking something, I hear ya.
  2. No, don't do that. I just don't understand why people get worked up over what names that fans put on their jerseys. Enough to mock or set up a website dedicated to doing just that. In regards to the Jets there are no classic jerseys you can buy from the WHA or NHL 1.0 era at their stores so if I put Hull 9 on a current Jets jersey it's not because I want to, it's because I have no choice. It's still my choice what I do. BTW, I do have a Jets away jersey that I bought in 2011 when the announcement was made that the Thrashers were moving to Winnipeg. It's a Hawerchuk jersey from the 80's. Looks authentic in every way. Only wear it occasionally. If I ever get to a Jets home game I'll be sure to wear it.
  3. That is positively funny.... WBB Fan West
  4. What's really funny is me trying to post photos like IC Khari.
  5. The only reason that it was done.
  6. The world's very first public forum disagreement: http://www.collativelearning.com/PICS%20FOR%20WEBSITE/stills%205/war%20cry.jpg
  7. For some unknown reason you think you're smarter than the fans you say you'mock. Ever thought that every jersey a team wears represents the organization past & present? So putting a player's name on it from another era is fine to do so as it pays hommage to that player & the team he played for?
  8. That Triple Threat match... What is the WWE doing with Lesnar, booking him as The Beast Incarnate & then he loses to Undertaker & now Reigns? I don't mind Reigns but Lesnar is being torn down match by match.
  9. Frosty, I was going to say something but your comment doesn't deserve a response. Other than what I just said.
  10. Rumour was that Savage slept with Stephanie when she was 17.
  11. Go write a letter to Trump, Cruz & Rubio. Or Obama. Better yet write a letter to Us Immigration & ask them why. You'll get the big raspberry back. The Americans have different labour laws than we do & are far more protectionist than Canada. This was a huge issue 20 years ago & nothing has changed.
  12. No, how is that a fail? if a fan puts a retired name on a modern jersey why should he be mocked? How many 1962 Blue Bombers jerseys are out there for sale at the Bomber shop that fans can buy with "#14 Thornton" on it? I hate this superiority shown by some fans when it comes to stuff like this. You're way off base if you mock fans for putting a retired out of era name on a modern jersey. Fans can do whatever they want with their jerseys as they spent the money to buy it without being mocked.
  13. Nice to see the enthusiasm from the (supposed) fan from St. Louis. But there are still some CFL fans around in Baltimore & they have no team either.
  14. Yeah, heard those rumours. I wouldn't be surprised if it was true.
  15. Well, not to throw water on what you say but I have relatives & friends who were born & raised in Portland & the CFL is nothing to them other than a curious sidelight as I'm the CFL fan in the family but they are huge Seahawks fans. The Seahawks are THE pro football team in the Pacific Northwest. Tons of people from Oregon are Hawks STH's. Football fans in Oregon love the Ducks & then the Beavers a distant second. Portland has an NCAA school (Portland State) that draws 20,000 fans a game in their stadium. There's NO city in Oregon that would support 3 down football. Been there enough times to know that. Our game is unique. Its ours & should be left that way.
  16. Vince did wish Randy luck when he left the WWE on one of the wrestling broadcasts.
  17. Funny how the same arguments are now being discussed over 2 decades later like they were back then. Yes, some fans who supported US expansion back in the day said that the CFL should focus on Northern US States. However, just because cities like Spokane, WA or Fargo ND are close to the border doesn't mean football fans there want a CFL team. Or that they follow the CFL. People in Spokane are huge Washington State fans while Fargo is a college football town. Those are their teams. And again as has been pointed out, the ratio issue will never be solved unless Canadian teams go to an unlimited roster with no ratio. Won't happen.
  18. St Louis will have another NFL team. It's too big of a market to ignore. A new 70,000 plus stadium will have to be built first & they'll do it. The city needs a few years for the anger to subside but in the end they'll get their team. The politicians will bend over backwards to make sure it happens.
  19. I've seen a website where a fan goes around taking pictures of Jets fans wearing their names on the back of jerseys as well as what he feels are cheap knockoffs. Myself, I think the guy is like you say "stodgy & lame". That he should get a life & quit worrying as well as trying to embarrass people by mocking them on a website. As long as we can buy jerseys with no names or numbers on them then what fans put on them are their own business. I have an old #2 Tom Clements jersey from 1985 with my name on the back. At the time I bought it I never thought it was wrong putting my name on it. Back then fans did that more than today. Now, I wish I had put Tommy's last name on it instead of mine but I can't change it. It's seems too small for me now but with today's tight fitting jerseys it may actually be back in style, ironically. However, it sits in my closet. That's why every jersey I now buy has a players last name & number on it. My wife came up with an idea. If I don't wear it anymore then why not frame it with only the front showing? That may be a pretty good idea.
  20. I remember vividly just how bad the last expansion was. How many players the Bombers lost to the US teams in particular CFL All Stars Elfrid Payton & Matt Dunigan because of the loonie being devalued similar to today. Then we had to play the American teams with all US players while we had the ratio to contend with. The CFL sized field didn't fit in some US stadiums & the end zones were 10 yards. Interest among fans in the US cities was minimal & all the while the rules were being criticized down there. Some people even said that the CFL "wasn't real football". I was glad it failed & hope we never have US expansion again.
