Maybe his salary level wasn't in the team's budget. So if they sign him it's possible they release Ryan Smith or a vet DB to offset Steele's salary. -

The other irony is they mention how their site is the largest and best CFL forum eva and that fans from around the league want to post on Riderfans. However, they don't want these outsiders posting there. -

No, but there is a Brady connection. Bishop was drafted by New England in 1999 and was ahead of Brady on their depth chart in 2000 - the year Brady was drafted. -
Yeah, Friesen is is quick to post anything with a negative Bomber slant to it. I thought I saw a tweet from him earlier today that indicated Bass and Denmark were both gone as Bombers - he has since deleted it.

Maybe they got the guy that scouted the TiCats' practice for Mike Kelly. -

Reminds me of when Graeme Bell faxed his contract to the Bombers upside down. But before he was able to refax the paperwork Edmonton had contacted him and he ended up signing with them. -

I could see Costello being promoted and Keeping becoming the Oline assistant. O'Shea seems to have a lot of respect for him. When Keeping was injured O'Shea pointed out how Keeping was a leader and was eager to help out the other guys. -
Maurice Leggett signs contract extension

Last year Mo was part of an exhibit at the WAG. Kinda reminds me of when Troy Westwood would dabble in a lot of off field stuff. -
I agree and I wish the CFL was in a position to pump the brakes on all the rule changes. Maybe the players would be able to adapt to the rules if they aren't changing every year. However, if there are going to be some tweaks I'd like to see them getting away from the fishing expeditions. Coaches shouldn't be able to challenge an infraction that occurs away from the ball. If the officials missed it during live action then too bad. If the league is dead set on making changes then the rule I'd like them to get rid of is the push out rule. Players should have at least one foot in bounds for it to be deemed a catch. The game has swung too much in favour of receivers. I'd like to see Loffler knock a player out of bounds to nullify a catch.

Yeah, there was the myth that Mack lived in the States and therefore was never around the team. Fact was that during the season he spent most of his time in Winnipeg. -

Sure, and he also played for the Riders. But, the Bomber staff recognized Hardrick's potential and didn't dismiss him as another failed talent. They got him to lose 20 pounds so that he'd be more mobile and look what happened. To me that's a strike against the Lions and Riders if anything. -
Last time the Bombers won the Grey Cup ... sigh
WinnipegGordo replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
When the Bombers last won the Grey Cup we still had Jobs, Hope and Cash. -

Maximum Value for our 1st & 5th picks
WinnipegGordo replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Bombers pick should be 6th of each round not 5th. -
Ok, I looked it up. Grey Cup winner picks last and Grey Cup loser picks 2nd last. All other teams are ranked according to their regular season standings. Therefore, the Bombers could be picking 6, 7, 8 or 9. The B.C. game will eliminate either 6 or 7.

Isn't the Bombers pick position dependent on how they do in the playoffs?

Harris needs 86 yards to reach 1000 yards rushing. Hopefully he gets off to a great start, gets to a 1000 and then they sit him for Flanders.

Not so much a trick play, but I laughed when back in the day Westwood kicked a ball at a defender. The ball bounced off the player and Westwood recovered it.

Lol, that was a slip. Whenever Medlock does something at the games I yell out "Madlock!!!" in my Grandpa Simpson voice.

It's an interesting side story to watch these next few weeks. One thing to keep in mind though is Paredes is 50-56 for FGs so he has the inside track for the season record. Interesting to note that although Paredes' FG percentage (50-56) his better than Madlock (48-56), Madlock is 27-27 for converts while Paredes is 27-34. Madlock is perfect for all his FGs inside the 40 (30-30).
