Interesting comment during Zach's interview today when he said protecting the quaterback has never been a priority in the league.

Yeah, I just mentioned Cole as Gauthier as another linebacker will be coming on. Cole is on the punt return team today so it's not likely he comes off. McCrae is still doing lots of returning and Jackson is getting lots of work on both sides of the ball so they will prolly both be playing.

Id be shocked if Gauthier doesnt play of Thursday. Parker is doing a fair share of punt returning today. I wouldn't be surprised if he is rostered in place of Cole.

Gauthier should be ready to go for Thursday.

I don't disagree with giving the other punter a shot but it's not like he's currently taking up someone else's spot as teams can have up to 3 Globals on the PR. These 3 spots are separate from the 10 for Nationals and Americans. Might as well see what he's like in a game now because Maruo will prolly go to the PR when Hansen is healthy.

One option is to increase the SMS by 80 to 100k and add a non-roster position for a 4th quaterback. The CFL is competing with the USFL and XFL for talent and need to offer more than practice roster pay to attract quality guys.
