I believe it's because the league is trying to be more transparent when healthy guys are placed on the 1 game injured list. Look at the Als, they have 4 healthy guys listed in their injury report.

It was probably just a case a of people bitching due to not winning but nothing was proved to be nefarious (at least I didn't find any articles).
