  1. Frederick isn't eligible for ROTY as he's played some NFL regular season games.
  2. Is that with the regular Bombers or mini Bombers? Da Bombers
  3. I wouldn't want Shawn Lemon on the Bombers. I've soured on him since he walked out on the team after 3 days in 2011.
  4. I know what you are saying but Riderfans seem to feel that Newsome had a great camp and just beat out Lemon. Knox is another guy that was expected to start but he's apparently been banged up during camp.
  5. Lol. There's no shenanigans with the Rider's depth chart. Players are listed at the positions there were practicing at during training camp. Jones had at least 8 guys working out in new positions in camp.
  6. Oh and Ricky Collins, one of the Riders' starting SBs were released by the Bombers after mini camp this year.
  7. And that 6th olineman - Hason Hazine just converted from the dline this year. But that's none of my business.
  8. I know you're just joking but on the subject of Buckner he signed with the TiCats today.
  9. I received a call today. I order a Harris on the Friday that they went on sale. Hopefully, Andrew isn't too injured, as I seem to be a bit of a curse when I get current players on jerseys.
  10. And take Darvin Adams and Chad Rempel with you. Regarding Romby Bryant, he sure wasn't a star player in 2009. As much as some people blame Kelly I think Bryant had a me first attitude and gave up on the team.
  11. I made the list myself by going through the roster. As for the status of the players, the Wpg Sun has updates on lots of the guys and for the rest I just checked twitter for confirmation of their injuries.
  12. I made a list of the guys not playing on Monday: Jeff Keeping C - knee, 6-8 weeks Travis Bond OL - injured, didn't practice June 10th Aundrey Walker OL - injured, week to week Kris Adams WR - coming off injury Weston Dressler WR - injured, week to week Addison Richards WR - hand, 2-3 weeks Justin Veltung WR - injured, week to week Alex Vitt WR - injured, week to week Pascal Lochard RB - injured, week to week Justin Medlock K - healthy Chad Rempel LS - injured, week to week Euckid Cummings DL - healthy Sam Scott DL - injured, week to week Keith Shologan DL - healthy Jamal Westerman DL - healthy Jake Thomas DT - healthy Jesse Briggs LB - injured, week to week Shayne Gauthier LB - injured Sam Hurl LB - mid-body, week to week Derrell Johnson LB - injured, week to week Kyle Knox LB - knee, out 6 weeks Johnny Adams DB - injured, 2 or 3 more weeks Donald Celiscar DB - injured, injured on June 11th Johnny Patrick DB - injured, week to week
  13. Medlock's holder is Dressler who also isn't playing. Dressler and Medlock work on holding techniques at every practice. I'm sure they will be ok.
  14. For a few years there was a limit to the amount of roster moves teams could make (believe it was 12) after training camp started. Looks like they did away with that rule.
  15. Ah, the free shots of beer girls, good times. They rival the free shots of Bomber wine girls.
  16. How about some recognition of the fans in the upper deck. I don't think I seen any mini footballs thrown up there since the 1st season at IGF. (Although I haven't seen many TDs either come to think of it) Also bring back the rally towels. It was cool that we had the towels for the inaugural game but its a shame the organization didn't promote their usage after that.
  17. Most retailers are sold out of the Reebok jerseys including the Bomber store. When I was at the Bomber store last week all they had were the regular home and away jerseys in small and XXL and larger. I bought some jerseys on Reebok.ca and it looks like they are now all sold out there as well.
  18. Ok, gotcha. I didn't think people would be able to bring in food from that truck since its outside the tailgate area. At least that's a little progress. The organization has actually come a long way since the 1st season at IGF when they didn't allow any food vendors outside the stadium.
  19. This is the first time I'm hearing about this. Where is this sign posted? Ever since they created the tailgate area I've had no issues with bringing beer into the stadium. I bring in beers before the game and at half-time, saves me some money. Tall boys are 8 bucks in the tailgate area and 10 bucks inside the stadium.
  20. Ok, did anyone else try to pick up the pay per view channel for free in the early 80s. I remember you had to hook up a bunch to tinfoil to the back of your tv and you could sorta unscramble the PPV (between channels 6 and 7 I believe.) I just recall they must of shown Stars Wars 3 times a day but the channel also provided my 1st taste of porn. lol
  21. Better Call Saul season 2 starts tonight. Giddy up.
  22. I'm curious to know how many times Charley Huddy has been interviewed in the last 5 years? I never hear the local media talking about access to the Jets assistant coaches so I'm not sure if they have it or not.
  23. Johnson will be starting in place of Peach. Collins will dress unless they use the DI spot elsewhere and they play Richardson or Brown instead.
  24. I received an email from Bombers only 3 days ago regarding this initiative: The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are asking fans to “Go Gold” on September 25th by wearing gold jerseys in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Gold is the symbol of the fight to end childhood (pediatric) cancers, which are diagnosed in 1500 kids each year. This game will mark the third season the Bombers have supported Childhood Cancer Awareness month by partnering with Ribbons for Rylan, a non-profit organization that fundraises for CancerCare Manitoba Pediatrics, The Children’s Hospital Foundation and The Dream Factory. This is the first year the team will ask fans to wear gold, while showing their own support through an addition to the Bombers uniform kit. “For the first time, our team will wear a gold ribbon decal on their helmets to bring awareness to this worthwhile cause. We are thrilled to be able to support Childhood Cancer Awareness month in this way, and are confident fans will ‘Go Gold’ with us on September 25th,” said Hannah Rose Pratt, Winnipeg Blue Bombers Manager of Community Relations. In addition to wearing gold jerseys, fans can support the campaign by purchasing a gold hat in the Bomber Store, as the Bombers will donate $5.00 from each gold hat purchased to Ribbons for Rylan. Ribbons for Rylan is a group of family and friends raising funds and awareness to help fight childhood cancers; Rylan was a special boy who was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer when he was one year old, and passed away just before his second birthday. To further support the campaign to cure childhood cancers, the Bombers have donated 200 tickets to the September 25th home game to host families battling childhood cancers and life-threatening illnesses. The team visited the CK5 Pediatric Cancer ward at the Children’s Hospital on September 21st as a part of the Bombers’ regular monthly visits to meet families and sign autographs for children and youth who are hospitalized. On Friday, The Dream Factory and Ribbons for Rylan will have Childhood Cancer Awareness tables in the Tailgate at the Plaza by Duraco Windows before the game (outside of Gate 2 at the corner of Chancellor Matheson Road and University Crescent), along with volunteers collecting donations throughout the stadium. http://bluebombers.com/article/bomber-fans-go-gold-this-friday
