I could see the Riders getting off to an ok start as 6 of their 1st 9 games are at home. The Stamps however have to deal with 4 away games in a row from week 3 to 6.

The Bombers re-signed 3 of the guys that finished the season on the practice roster. Maybe they asked Wright back well but he decided he'd have a better chance of making another team's roster.

It's possible, I haven't seen any discussion on this myself. But, it may have something to do with the confusion on whether Matt was previously extended for 2020. Maybe some arrangements were made for a restructured contract that deferred some of his 2019 salary. But, as a general rule, off-season bonuses are for the upcoming season.

He doesn't have a bonus due as he's a pending free agent. But, his bonus last year was on Jan 15th.

They shud try to make a decision on the QB situation asap. Once they determine which QB(s) isn't in their plans the Bombers can look at trading their rights for a conditional draft pick.

Lol. Yeah, I guess he owes Hughes a 1000 bucks for their much talked about bet over who would get the most sacks.
-
I also loved how the Bomber olinemen would run down field to push the pile around Harris. Saw a lot of that during the Grey Cup.

I wouldn't call it a steal. The Riders got Alex Hall and a 2nd rounder for Neufeld (Bombers also received a 5th rounder). Hall helped contribute to the Riders' 2013 Cup so I'm sure they were happy with the trade as well.

Lapolice to be name Ottawa’s new HC
WinnipegGordo replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Really? What did the line-up look like when they didn't have 6 Nationals on offensive? -

Grant was available to the offense as a DI. If I recall correctly, the team went to him on their first offensive play in the Grey Cup game. We just didn't see much use of the DI on offense due to the Bombers' heavy focus on the run. Why use a DI when the primary receivers don't get targeted much themselves. -

May not take that long. If the Bombers re-sign Nichols I could see the team doing Collaros a favour and releasing him early. -
2019-20 Grey Cup Champs Off-season discussion.

Even if they did, Kongbo was signed to a 3 year deal. -
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Global players are basically an extra DI and needs to replace an American unless the team started more than 7 Canadians.

He shouldn't be lifting the cup over his head. But whatever.

Where was the after party? The tent where Brett Kissel was playing?

When the Jets were making their run a couple of seasons ago, Jets fans were making fun of the Bombers by saying the Jets were going to win a Cup first even with not having a team for 15 years. Pro-Jets, anti-Bombers fans are almost as bad as Rider fans. I guess Chipman no longer needs to buy the Bombers to make them a winner.

I am so looking forward to the TSN Wired Up show from the Grey Cup. Sportscentre showed some clips and they had Harris giving Lawrence the gears. A lot of times players like to talk smack and not back it up. But clearly the Bombers came to play.

The street name is still going to be called Matheson Road. Instead of changing the actual street name like they did for Milt Stegall Drive the city started to do this honorary option. The honorary street names are initially for 5 years but then can be renewed.

At least more of the crowd will be cheering for the Bombers compared to 2007 and 2011. Hopefully that makes a bit of a difference.

Yeah, crazy that the last time the Bombers played an Eastern team in the Grey Cup was against the TiCats in 1984. The Bombers' last 7 appearances have been against Western opponents.

Yeah, but I wouldn't blame O'Shea's first two playoff loses on Nichols. I believe he did enough to beat the Lions and Esks. It was just bad defence and poor offensive play calling that did the Bombers in.
