  1. a name I haven't heard in awhile....
  2. Winnipeg at Hamilton Saturday, September 16 4:00 p.m. ET The Tiger-Cats get some rest after an impressive win in a quick turnaround on the road in Ottawa. Taylor Powell continues to improve and it would appear that new play caller Scott Milanovich is finding the right mix when it comes to putting players in a better position to succeed. Powell has a TD/INT ratio of 7/1 in his last three games. The Tiger-Cats need improvement from their defence. Hamilton is at the bottom of the league in many categories and even with their punting, you see the Tiger-Cats behind in field position as well. The Bombers come in with the best running game and a red hot Zach Collaros, who is coming off a near perfect game against the Roughriders. Collaros put points on the board in every drive he led against Saskatchewan, including starting with six straight touchdowns. But can I mention what happened last year following the Bombers putting the boots to the Roughriders in the LD Weekend Rematch? They went into Hamilton and had an emotional let down. Last week was highly emotional for the Bombers. A lot of carry over from the Labour Day Classic against Saskatchewan and I’m curious to see if we see a repeat emotional let down. I’m probably over thinking it but I’m going with my biggest upset of the year. PICK: HAMILTON
  3. was my choice all along.... has all the intangibles you want in a Captain.
  4. I've started to believe that the complaints about the defense and the roster composition on D.... is as much about the O not executing as anything else. When the O executes and stays on the field, the D is fine. We have to play complimentary football in order for everything to come together.
  5. that early in the season... meh. Absolutely they came out flat and got punched in the mouth... deserved what they got. Confidently hoping that come playoff time, they'll be ready to roll. I'm just waiting to clinch the West Final so I can book my flight.... let's friggin' gooooooooo........
  6. Definitely each to their own perspective, but I really blamed the cold weather for the last two GCs and the West Final against the Gappers a couple years ago. It SHOULDN'T be a problem, but I really think it is.
  7. I think they were prepared and fired up.... I think there's questions (ironically given the climate they practice in) about how this team plays in cold weather.....
  8. I feel the exact same way, but what keeps my hopes up is that they almost always come out fired up "when it matters", and I can't even imagine an Osh-led team not being "run-through-a-wall" fired up for a playoff game. When there's only 2 (3 max) of them, they'll be fired up and ready. It's harder to be mentally excited, even as a pro athlete, in the midst of an 18 game sched. When you know that it's only 2 or 3 games, you can be fully mentally prepared, I think.
  9. it's because of how early in the route it was... they didn't show the entire play from snap to finish on the jumbo tron unfortunately. I didn't see the facemask either, until we watched the PVR later that night.
  10. Yeah, the Bombers have been maddeningly inconsistent this year and it's why I'm hesitant to expect them to win any game they play, no matter how poor the opponent. They're world beaters one week, and then off the rails the next. What I do know is, when the offense is clicking and staying on the field, the defense can be one of the best in the league, if not THE best. But they need to be in sync.... offense stays on the field for stretches, and the defense gets itself off the field. When they're on, nobody in the CFL is better. But man, you just don't know who's going to show up each week.
  11. It was against Montreal. It was a pass to Bailey. I think this Lawler PI was less obvious, and that's the reason they didn't challenge, along with other previous reasons listed.
  12. It's a fine line between wanting to support your player's demand for the challenge and not wanting to run up the score and embarrass the other team. Osh chose the latter... in a closet game he would have gone for the challenge.
  13. I guess it's not easy growing up anywhere.....
  14. Can not stop laughing. As usual, great use of meme...
  15. Again, when the offense stays on the field and gives the D tons of rest, then the extra rotation on the line isn't as big of a deal. But in close games, where the D has to play a bunch, then yes, we need a better roster build to give the D adequate rest. Last week wouldn't have been an issue if the offense could stay on the field.
  16. More than 110 years of near constant futility. The worst franchise on all of professional sports.
  17. Ya was going to say, definitely not this year but next is a possibility depending on what happens with The League this year.
  18. The inbred trolls have arrived!!
  19. This and only this. Good start to the day with our game day breakfast at Stella's on Pemb. Jeffcoat and BA were there as well. Headed to the bombers store for a quick rip, then to Stone Angel for some pre gaming. Ellll Efffff GEEEEE!!!
  20. I'd just like to once again say I'm the exact half way point between Booch and TB4E.... And it's equally painful hearing both ends of the spectrum....
  21. I like Draisitl more than Matthews. **** that guy. MacKinnon likely ahead of him too.
  22. I'm wildly uncomfortable with how many people are expecting a big win. This year's edition of the team terrifies me every single week. Never know who's going to show up.
