I can't figure out why you're arguing against the idea that being a football player is a year-round job for these guys....? I would have thought that you'd agree with that ..- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
It's not 6 months work when you factor in that they have to work out every single day, 12 months of the year to be in football shape. Hasn't been a part time job in many many years. Factor in that your career can be over in a heartbeat in this rough sport, and they should be getting every penny they can.- Random Jets News
Apparently KConn was a full participant, full contact jersey today....- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News

some interesting stuff from Our Man Tait, and I highly encourage you to give him a click: https://www.bluebombers.com/2024/01/12/1st-10-january-12/ Just a teaser for you that I think a few will have interesting: Had a great conversation with new Blue Bombers defensive coordinator Jordan Younger earlier this week. That story can be found here. Yours truly couldn’t cram everything from a 24-minute chat into that first piece, and one of the intriguing chunks not included was a discussion on how Younger puts his stamp on the Blue Bombers defence. That answer, it turns out, is both complicated and fascinating. “Let’s talk about blitzing, for example,” Younger said. “it’s not about whether there is more or less of that, it’s when you do it. Everybody’s doing similar things at the end of the day. You’re rushing four, you’re rushing five, you’re rushing six or rushing seven. Those are the options on the table. What makes each play caller unique is how well can you make coverages, systems and reads match up with what the offence is doing. We’ll try to be dynamic that way where we have tools built into the system so we can solve problems in real time and not necessarily have to wait until we review what was going on. That would be my goal.- Random Jets News
Ehlers also dealing with an injury and left practice early...- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
sincere question....... You know how often guys come back from the NFL and they're just not the same as they were before? Maybe they changed their body type, or whatever, to fit in down there, and when they come back it doesn't translate and they're just never the same again........? Any chance that happens with Strev?- Around The NHL 2023-24
I was gonna say, it's not like this is a new thing...- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
I believe it was during GC week, when there were numerous interviews with Brady O.... they approached him first, and he decided not to go, so they took Harris instead. For what it's worth, I'm 99% sure the quote is directly from Brady.- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
Christ, even a guy like Garrett...- Around The NHL 2023-24
I'm certain that's a half-truth at best. I'm inclined to believe more in the "Wanted to burn a year of ELC last year, Flyers wouldn't do it, agent and family got pissy, refused to sign..." story than anything else.- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
And as we know now, it was Brady that the Argos wanted initially, but when he chose to re sign in Winnipeg, the Argos took the leftover Harris. So they definitely see value in him. Just a matter of whether they feel comfortable going with Ouellette.- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
more on kick returns:- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
JA is NOT the answer..... but there are plenty of Americans who could be, for sure.- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
I'm all for player safety but wildly against being like the NFL. Kick returns are one of the things that make the CFL more exciting than the NFL.- Which Vets do we cut next season
there's definitely RBs at his quality available (especially Americans) that won't cost NEARLY as much.... our system is as important as his ability.- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
it's not Harris, it's his agent, who is apparently somewhat of a "pitbull".....they have said they "want to reset the market for RBs in the CFL"....- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News

honestly, I'm as big on "we have to keep our locals!!" as anyone, but if he really wants to get grossly overpaid, then let him go try. I truly believe he's not irreplaceable. I think he's really good, but there's options there, including going back to IMP at RB...- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
really curious about what the LB salaries are.... I was definitely unaware (if) Bighill is making "top 3" money at his position. Also Brian Cole is an upgrade at LB, with Kyrie Wilson sliding over to the middle, if needed. I have no problem with that scenario. And hopefully we have plenty more in camp this year to start getting ready for '25....- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
Nope - two years running. This was the hardest thing for me to adjust in my head this off-season. We were absolutely the best team in the league the past two seasons, but we didn't get it done in a "one-game-winner-take-all" scenario. It happens. Still no question in my mind we are the elite...class of the league. is he getting that?- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
so you think he'll be a liability when at 100% health this year?- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
