  1. Well played, gents....well played. Signed, a big OLP fan....
  2. not sure if mentioned yet, but BC has LL Cool J doing a concert at their home opener.... so the teams that are desperate to get bodies in the door at least TRYING to do something.
  3. Stamps back up QBs not doing much through the first half... Is it possible that the Stamps reign of being a QB factory for so many years is coming to an end?
  4. this is the only correct answer, and we'll be taking no follow ups. Good call, CC!
  5. Looking forward to seeing the receipts on this...
  6. Lasso finale was spectacular... the ending a show that great deserves. This final season has been full of some amazing moments, and I believe, a couple of the best episodes of the series entire run. I laughed SO hard last night watching the finale, and had moments where I thought I might cry. It was beautiful, with all the feels, without being melodramatic and obvious. Brilliant swerves and tied up loose ends nicely.
  7. it's just incomprehensible that all of this is just accepted as fact by a majority of this province....incredible. Like, there can't be THAT MANY people who are THAT DUMB.......can there?
  8. I loved the final season. My goodness is Anthony Carrigan an absolute delight.... and Stephen Root doing Stephen Root things, just dominating virtually every scene he's in. Hader proving yet again that he's a genius who is so much more than what he showed on SNL. He's a real cinephile and is currently working on a horror movie, which (and I'm not into horror movies) I have no doubt is going to be incredible. When Guillermo Del Toro is singing your praises and willing to pop in for a cameo, you know you're doing things right...
  9. I sincerely thought Danielle Smith was going to be the breaking point...... but when I think the bar is as low as it can be, the UCP voters dig a trench to put the bar in. It's so embarrassing.
  10. it is HILARIOUS to me that the Leafs, who like to make a big splash, would go with Treliving who created an absolute mess in Calgary, with a very public AWFUL off-season last summer, where he sold his cows for magic beans. Hilarious.
  11. so the crazy lady says that, in order to make sure Edmontonians voices are heard, she's going to create some special committee made up of the UCP candidates who LOST in Edmonton............................... you honestly can't make this **** up. Refusing to communicate with the actual people ELECTED IN EDMONTON..... instead she'll use the voices of the losers that Edmonton vehemently rejected. Unreal...
  12. anyone who doesn't loathe "Trudope" is far left antifa...
  13. it's the Notley-Singh-Trudeau Alliance that is responsible for everything bad in the world today... I hear that regularly in rural AB. I know someone whose boss (owner of the company) threatened pay cuts for everyone if the NDP won, because his corporate tax rate would go up and he was going to hand it down to the employees, so they'd "better not vote for them"..... I'm ******* SICKENED about it today.
  14. call it karma, then....
  15. prices of all Alberta-based resources went into the tank since the election results came in... saw a tweet this morning. So much for "the UCP is good for business!" again, really wish the tweet would embed, but here's the image with the tweet:
  16. Osh announces that Zach Collaros won't play vs The Gap on Friday night...
  17. definitely curious about Bighill and Oliveira. I really would have thought Bighill would get in a week of practice and then some reps in the final pre-season game.... maybe he actually is injured?
  18. Doctors have been leaving in droves for a few years now. The pandemic, and specifically the UCP's handling of the pandemic, forced them out. Most going to BC. It's really sad and scary. I know several people in the health care industry (dentists and nurses, mostly) who were on the campaign trail for the NDP because they were so scared of what the UCP will do if given a mandate. We're in for a nightmare in this province... Rachel Notley is one of the best politicians in the country. As Dave mentioned, the NDP securing the largest official opposition in provincial history is because of her, personally, and not the NDP, as a party. People in this province believe the lunacy of "Notley answers to Singh, her boss, and is an ally to Trudeau!" which is just head-shakingly stupid... Notley and the AB NDP lean right of centre, because you HAVE TO in this province or you won't ever have a chance of getting elected.
  19. UCP wins majority in AB. One-time UCP candidate who compared LGBTQ+ students in schools to "human feces in a batch of cookies" wins in a landslide, with nearly 75% of the vote. Rural Alberta lives up to every stereotype you've ever heard....
  20. that one gets overlooked a lot when talking about best ever Bombers receiving corps'.... the 2000-2003 corps was obviously incredible, but that 07 team was something special.
  21. No spoilers, but I was really surprised that ___________________ ended up "taking the throne". But the sibling love at mom's house contradicted with the scrap at the office seemed just so brilliantly perfect. And that final scene, overlooking the ocean..... heartbreaking.
  22. and this is how you do it - you link everything back to your website, where you can control the advertising revenue.
  23. Latvia declared today a national holiday.... the celebration is going to be something epic.
