financially, for sure.... I think my thought is more that the RBs might see them as redundant. Both as "upside/potential yet unproven" guys, and would be looking for someone with more experience, if they've already got an "Our Next Guy" in the stable. I'm sure they'll hope to keep Piggy as the 3rd, so if they're going to bring someone in, it'd be more likely a proven veteran. I know those are in short supply, but just saying that's my thought on my why I think the RBs (and other teams) might not necessarily bring in Dru Brown... that they don't necessarily see him as a step above the Crums, Dolegalas, etc... of the league...

fwiw, being that it's a Saturday, I've got no problem with them pushing back the time of the game. Yeah, it's November and it's going to be chilly but whatever... it's not like an hour makes THAT MUCH of a difference. Wear your ice fishing gear and load up on the "anti freeze".... it's going to be a time!

I like that Hardrick got the nom. In a year where Stan didn't necessarily stand out as his usual dominant force, it feels like a good time to mix it up. I would have personally gone with Paddy, but I feel like everyone LOVES Yoshi and there's a good chance some of the national media give him some love. At any rate, it's a nice feather in the cap of a guy who's been incredible, but living in the shadow of the best OL of all time. As for the other stuff... I want to believe Brady O takes West MOC/MOP, but never underestimate the media's ability to make truly stupid decisions. It should be Kelly vs Brady for the MOP and Kelly wins because he's a QB, and as Dunny said on a recent broadcast "they just have so much more to do on the field... so much more responsibility".... so they'll give it to Kelly. Plus, anything to jerk off those assholes a little bit more. I do think Brady wins league MOC, though... Betts will win MODP for sure. At any rate, I'll trade every one of those awards for a big silver chalice on November 19th, so I can put my "Defend The Cup" sign back up again...

I don't know if other teams see Dru Brown as a better option to what they have now, as much as fans here do. Like we all love him and think he's got a future but does Ottawa think he's better than Crum, when Crum had most of a season to get reps and Brown came in two or 3 times?

Ya I think everyone needs to breathe a bit and realize this isn't an overnight fix. Pointing out the empty seats at every game is already exhausted.

Yeah, Ottawa definitely needs a vet QB if they're going to try and turn it around. Not sure who is the answer there. There are so few QBs right now... maybe they make a run at Dru Brown, but I think they need someone proven.... but who is that??? I think Harris is still under contract to Sask for another year. Do they try to get one of VAJ or Dane out of BC? I think Crum MIGHT be something, but he needs some more bench time to ease his way in.

Don't think Ottawa is making any changes... there was an article last week saying that Burke and Dyce will get at least one more year to try and turn it around.
