  1. a viable replacement for the best receiver the league has seen in years........ **** YOU BOMBERS FOR NOT HAVING THIS READILY AVAILABLE!!! The only viable replacement for Schoen is Lawler..... to paraphrase Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore "...man, I'm glad I called THAT guy..."
  2. it will for lots of people... if you make the arena a really great party, then lots of people will come who won't even care about the game. I'm sure of it.
  3. in theory this is going to be a dirty beating, but you just never know. Brossoit maybe steps up where Helle really hasn't yet this season and "goalies" them.... fingers crossed.
  4. 100% this. Couldn't agree more. As soon as I get back home full time I'll definitely be spending money on going to Jets games. If I can get in on a group, I might even go in on some seasons....
  5. McRae, who's been on the PR for awhile......
  6. regarding Schoen and the rest of this season, this is from the Winnipeg Sun today: “This is just my homeboy, so I’m representing him out here, keeping him with us a little bit,” Wolitarsky said. “It’s a big hit. We feel that. We’re just going to be there for him. A lot of us have been through injuries and this is his first real injury, big injury.” It is becoming increasingly clear that the Bombers will be without Schoen for at least the rest of the CFL regular season.
  7. Osh will NEVER reveal a player's injury situation. All he said in addition to "Nope" on the update, was that they're confident they have a lot of really good players who understand the entire offense from all the angles, so they can step up and play any of the receiver positions.
  8. You know what he means... it's misguided, for sure, but the point stands that Toronto doesn't support their CFL team.
  9. Yes, in Tait's piece from yesterday, Osh was asked if he had any update on Schoen and his answer was.......and I'm quoting here.... "Nope."
  10. re: attendance figures.......
  11. 11th.... 4th is already locked up and you could plan for that, if you like, but I wouldn't....
  12. And create a vibe where The Phone Booth is THE place to be.... As Wade did with IGF.
  13. Maybe a bit of a hot take but I don't think he's been particularly good t start the season...
  14. why Paddy Neuf was not in the game against BC:
  15. that's really the point I've had most of this season... I just don't trust this team game in and game out. You never know who's going to show up. I know they keep saying Collaros's numbers are as good as last year but it feels like he's had way more turnovers this year, Lawler isn't necessarily playing up to expectations, the D has been very soft at times...... so I'm not saying that Edmonton is FOR SURE going to smoke us, just saying it's a possibility.
  16. as mentioned elsewhere on here, yes... but that's just to practice. He's still likely a ways out.... coming off a pretty serious rehab and what not.

thankful for no super-negative reaction so far, but my arm is crazy sore. Have heard of that reaction, but never had it in the past. Apparently if you tense up your arm too tight while they're injecting you, it can happen. So maybe...? But if that's the worst of it, I'll gladly take it to be protected through this craziness.
  18. I've been wondering about that. Great news, considering the time of year. Even getting north of 30k is fantastic. The team is going to make a pile of cash this year. Curious how playoff tickets are selling...
  19. I think if Lawler is playing Schoen's spot on the field, he absolutely rips the Elks a new ******* and goes off for 200+ yds. Demmer is due for a big game, too. We'd absolutely miss Schoen, but we have enough pieces to beat the Elks if we show up and play like we can.
