  1. Neufeld: Tough to see Couture go. They're very close, on and off the field. Roommates on the road. Happy to see him be closer to family and friends, but tough to lose him. Says Kolankowski and Eli are both VERY good and will have quite a battle in camp to determine who gets to start. Walters: Understands why fans are upset about the kicking, and there will be lots of competition in camp, which Liegghio is ready for and welcomes. They will have plenty of legs in camp, trying out for all 3 kicking jobs. Thinks the global draft may be of some help here. Lawler: It's going to be scary for other teams D to try and match up with Bombers O. Too many weapons. Too much depth. DT/Aumell Wrap Up Comments: Think the defense is not good and that they're going to give up a lot of points, but that the offense will be able to score their way out of problems. Think that other than Alexander and Nichols, the secondary is a huge question mark. Also kicking a major weakness. (Noeller wildly disagrees with much of these sentiments, of course)
  2. it's rare that the 22 Mins Twitter feed says anything funny, but this made me at least chuckle....
  3. I dunno, I'm happy to let a professional interviewer talk about whatever he thinks should be talked about with the usual suspects. As far as the players, I'm mildly curious about off-season training and what all that encompasses. But I would say it's Walters that I'm always most interested to hear from. I think it's pretty obvious to everyone that the only really glaring hole is at DT, and would be at least mildly interested in knowing how he feels about the DT position and how easy/difficult it is to find another Nevis or Stove... if they feel they have someone on the roster ready to step in, or if they'll be recruiting heavily for that position, and is it possible that there's decent CIS pick who might be able to do it? But, again, DT's a professional.... I'm sure the conversations will be just fine.
  4. Nope.... because this whole thing was her idea in the first place. She's the one who reached out to the Zach's and wanted to do this. So she wants to play the next quadrennial if the girls do. As Cathy and Vic said last night "I haven't seen her look this happy while curling in a long time"....... it'll take something shocking for that team not to be together next year.
  5. I would say there's a less than 5% chance she retires now. They've been really good on tour this year and with this showing at the Scotties, they'll want to stick together. As JCon says, if she was going to, she would have last year.
  6. Not until after the quadrennial...she's committed through the 2026 Olys with this team. After that, definitely possible...
  7. the game turned on the steal of 2, otherwise it'd been a back and forth game. Once Jones gave up the steal, she was chasing from that point on. The more experienced team won out, but I'd bet Jones's kids learned a lot from that one. They'll be back. It's only Year 1 of the current quadrennial together, so I expect big things from Jonezacharias....
  8. So. Much. Weed.
  9. It's minute... But all he said was "bingo".... He didn't say "I agree" or "you're absolutely right"..... And he didn't say the initial slanderous statement. I'm splitting hairs, I know, and I don't want to defend the guy, especially if it's true that he's a crazy anti vaxxer.
  10. That was my first thiught about Stove as well... Was surprised when DT mentioned him in there...
  11. In his defense (and I feel gross....) Ball didn't actually SAY the slanderous thing.... He just agreed with it. It's not a lot better, but a little.
  12. I have it waiting on the PVR but now I know I can skip the monologue. That's really a shame... I generally like his work, but I've got no time for that bullshit.
  13. Just need Kerri to put the boots to McCarville this afternoon, and we can have a stress-free All-Manitoba Scotties Final tonight...... let's get 'er done, Einar!
  14. Pinsent was a true gem.... this is one of my all time favourite 22 MInutes bits: And also, if you've never seen The Grand Seduction, go stream it today....Pinsent isn't the STAR, per se, but he's fabulous in his role:
  15. The complete exasperation you can "hear" in that Tweet is hilarious. I actually LOLed...
  16. El Nino.... One of my favourite players since his World Juniors appearance, but he never quite translated as a pro.
  17. For what it's worth, I've flown Fair probably 5 or 6 times now, and have never had this issue. I'm not saying it'll never happen, but I've never had that happen once while I've flown on any airline... WestJet, AC, or Flair... I'll probably even give Lynx a run at some point.
  18. Many times... No issues at all. The cost is absolutely bare bones. As long as you don't need to bring anything with you, you're good. But if you need bags or anything else, it starts to add up quickly. Otherwise, Flair is great!
  19. I really thought this was the most sensible thing I read last night following the loss:
  20. it's been a good week. We had 4 teams in the bonspiel, and the best 2 of the 4 remaining are the 2 Manitoba teams. Anything can happen in 10 ends, but sincerely hoping it's Einar vs Jones in the final, as it should be. Those would be the two best reps for Canada at Worlds. As for the Worlds, Canada doesn't really stack up the way it used to. Asian and Western-European teams are typically the ones to beat each year, and Canada is somewhere in the Top 5....... not the dominating force we once were.
