  1. Oh, Mennotoba...........
  2. No, they brought back the guy from last year who took over when Harris got hurt. He'll be splitting time at best...
  3. But, you of all people know that pandering to a toddler having a tantrum also isn't the answer. Chretien was right, he just shouldn't have been so public with his thoughts...
  4. Have we talked on here about the "15 Minute City" conspiracy theories....? Is that getting much traction in Manitoba? Let me tell you, Alberta is up in arms about this...... absolutely freaking out. I was at a social event Saturday night where various local politicians give short speeches "to bring greetings" from their various governments (local/provincial) and one of them went off on an absolute tirade about how her government would never allow such a thing, and telling those in attendance not to worry and that they'll never have to put up barbed wire around their property, etc....... It is just wild right now in rural AB.
  5. https://www.bluebombers.com/2023/02/24/blue-bombers-transactions-february-24-2023/?fbclid=IwAR0kSEn2wJ6MhouZhnJd3Ut9KeL-fL0Fyif-26bTITmG3RTQLOWrlIi58jQ Daramy-Swaray (5-9, 185, Colgate University; born: 6/10/1996) in Columbus, OH) comes to the Blue Bombers after stints with the Cincinnati Bengals last season and most recently with the XFL’s Arlington Renegades. The defensive back also returns kicks, recorded 155 tackles, 25 pass breakups, five interceptions and one sack during his days at Colgate, which included 37 starts in 44 games. He also amassed 1,642 all-purpose yards as a returner and part-time contributor on offence. After college he played for the Potsdam Royals of the German Football League before earning his shot with the Bengals. Brown (6-0, 197, South Dakota State; born: 26/3/1996 in Omaha, NEB) was a seventh-round pick, 223rd overall, by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2019 NFL Draft. Brown played four seasons at SDSU (2015-18) and suited up for 51 games for the Jackrabbits, racking up 148 tackles, eight interceptions, 35 pass breakups and four forced fumbles. He was two-time All-Missouri Valley Football Conference First Team All-Star and served as the team captain in 2018. Anctil (6-1, 234, Kansas State; born: 28/9/1996 in Lenexa, KS) starred at Kansas State after transferring from Coffeyville Community College. Anctil was a Second Team All-Big 12 with the Wildcats and holds school records for punting average in a season (45.4 yards in 2019) and career punting average (44.8). During his one season at Coffeyville, he earned First-Team All-Region and All-Conference honours. Sanford (6-5, 300, University of British Columbia; born: 9/19/1998 in Salmon Arm, B.C.) returns to the Blue Bombers after attending training camp last year. Sanford played with the Thunderbirds from 2016-21 and attended the Canadian Football League’s West Regional Combine last spring.
  6. I'm with you......he's definitely a better QB than VAJ. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see Dane leading this team by mid-season, as you suggest.
  7. I get that some guys just don't translate from college to pro, but I can't fathom how the highest FG% in CIS history can't make it as a pro kicker..... that doesn't compute with me.
  8. that is EVERY sensible person's take.......the dude is full on loony tunes.
  9. Well, that's... Uhh... One way to go, I suppose....
  10. I think he honestly wants to be at home. His wife is a big deal at Marvel in their movies division, so they don't need money. He just wants to be with his family at this point.
  11. Reading the quotes from this on twitter today and and people saying how important he as to the team and the league... What in the actual ****??
  12. I'd wondered about the bonus part...ordinarily, that'd be when he gets tossed.......
  13. a great follow with some great music covers as well
  14. so much this...have hated that guy since he was a back-up in our camp. Bag-Full-Of-Cats levels of crazy....**** that guy.
  15. Evans wants to start... there's really only one or two landing spots for him. Toronto and maybe Montreal (which would be hilarious, 'cause eff Faj...)..... also he'd be an upgrade over Corny in Edm (almost anyone would), but I really think Jones is crazy enough to think he can make it work with Corny, so he might not pull the trigger. BC, Calgary, Sask, Winnipeg, Ham, Ott are all committed to a starter, so those are not really possible landing spots, IMO.....
  16. Dane Evans might be mentally fragile, but he's a far better QB than MBT or his ancestors. I'll take Dane's anxiety/depression over MBT's crazy every day of the week... Chad Kelly SEEMS like an arrogant prick, based on some quotes so far, and I'm not sure if he can actually back up some of the things he's said...
  17. Dane Evans, c'mon down.......
  18. I'm not sure Adler and Broadbeck changed, so much as the Right went really far to the right, and Moderate Con's were left looking like Lefties when it was all said and done...
  19. it's incredible how much "looking back" on the GC we've done in the thread called "Don't Look Back...." ps - Casey Sayles missed his block, otherwise we make that kick...
  20. Good stuff, but (and I'm not saying it's for sure a factor) I'd be curious what the wind situation was at that point in those games....
  21. He DID improve....year over year, he's improved.....and he's young.......and with his background, there is a lot of reason to believe he will continue to get better. He's also doing all 3 duties, 2/3 of which he was among the best in the league. You, and the rest of the heavy mouth breathers that think missing converts means we have serious kicking issues, need to relax and have some patience.
  22. this fan base was so spoiled by Medlock. We will likely NEVER see that level of consistency again. It doesn't exist...south or north of the 49th....
