I just feel like Molina is the only good thing about it. The rest of the actors are sub-par and the writing isn't exactly top of the line. But yes, rural Quebec looks gorgeous...

2022/2023 Off-Season (League/Non-Bombers-specific News)

bye bye Suberman.... also: Not a good look....... -
so a couple newer things I've watched lately, that I was going to report back on........ 1) 3 Pines (Amazon Original) starring Alfred Molina as an inexplicably French-Canadian provincial police homicide inspector. This show is basically Alfred Molina (who is awesome in anything) and a bunch of people who I think their previous experience was Canadian Tire and Tim Horton's commercials. It's about a half step from being a Hallmark-type show. Basically, there's 8 episodes covering 4 different murders (each "case" is 2 hour long episodes) and they all take place in rural Quebec. I've watched 6 of the 8 episodes and it's interesting, but not particularly well done in any aspect, aside from Molina, who's clearly the only quality actor in the show. 2) The new Night Court starring Melissa Rauch as the late Harry Anderson's daughter and John Laroquette reprising his Dan Fielding character. I remember enjoying the original back in its day, and I had high hopes for this. I can't even begin to tell you how painful it was to get through the pilot. It was SOOOOO bad. The laugh track was painful, the writing was painful..... I just can't imagine that this gets picked up beyond its initial run.

Don't Look Back - 2022/2023 Bombers Off Season

who knows if maybe a team signs him up after the Super Bowl is done....?? There's still time for something to happen, and regardless of contract, the Bombers would do the right thing by him and let him go. But......we'll see. I would imagine they'll want some kind of an idea before Feb 14, so they can know what kind of money they're working with in 2023. Whether or not Schoen is back will directly impact if they go in on Lawler. -

The biggest thing for me this morning is that I ******* love the anthill being kicked and we're nowhere near it. Lovely place to be. As far as the salary, while 500k isn't necessarily a lot for a good QB, I personally don't think Bo is a good QB anymore. He had pretty much everything you could ask for in Cgy and still looked done. His arm hasn't been the same since it got hurt in 2018/2019, and I just can't imagine it's going to miraculously be back to what it was pre-injury just because he's in Hamilton, which is arguably (inarguably??) a much worse team than Calgary was last year. At any rate, **** the Riders...... going to enjoy the hard "WE WANTED DANE ALL ALONG!!!" spin coming soon... -

that is encouraging news...I didn't realize there was a closing date. Thought he could keep waiting for camp invites right up until next summer. Here's hoping no news is good news! -

that was a good chat, the SB66 one..... some fun audio. Paddy's was fun, too. Says he's an elite level swimmer...I don't particularly want to even imagine that. -

The other thing is, it's easier for a quality, winning franchise (us) to poach a top quality Tackle in FA if need be... -
Fwiw, someone told me yesterday that the reason teams didn't pick him up off waivers was because of the contract....? If they'd picked him up off waivers, he'd have to be paid his NHL $$ but if they get him from the Moose then it's cheaper....?? AHL $$ or some such.... I don't know enough to know enough but that's one of my hockey nerd buddies talking...

I gotta admit....this fascination within society to turn the 90s into a "thing" drives me crazy...... I mean, Jesus, are we truly that far removed from it.....? (Don't answer that please....)

One of my first Genesis games was NHL 97, and these are the jerseys they wore in that game. The jerseys worn when Owen Nolan "called his shot" on the breakaway...

Yes Great Bear is the stuff of legends. I've read some stuff from guides who worked up there. That is almost mythical! Again, though, give me NW Ontario in June, when the bass are huddled up in fallen timber, and let me toss a Rebel Pop-R over the brush.....pop.....pop.....SMASH. The best feeling.

oi oi oi oi.....I really want to try and stay out of this, because it's honestly just so silly. 97% of people around here more-or-less agree on the same things.....but the 3% come in here and tell us we're all wrong. I get a big chuckle, as well, because I suppose I'm part of the "Lame Stream Media", that tries to sit right dead centre, but I admit I can see how people on the Right can see Middle as Left. All I was saying was that I was surprised to see someone come in here with a take that was so opposite of what MOST people on here believe in....
